Out-Of-Character Information The simplest section of the application! Simply answer these questions so we can get to know you a bit better.
What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: deltawolf03
How old are you?: 13
What time-zone do you live in?: EST (US)
Have you ever roleplayed before: Indeed.
if you have, how?: Started off with minor roleplays on Creative servers, Gradually worked my way into little Rp servers, eventually became an Admin on a small server known as Lands of Actareth, shortly preceeding it's unfortunate collapse.
Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: Indeed. Mostly Craft of Chivalry and Lands of Actareth.
Have you applied to this server before? (Please link past applications): No.
How did you hear about us?: Multiple friends, mainly _Sincid_
What do you think the server will be like?: I heard that the roleplay is top quality and the map is amazing. I'm a bit skeptic about the fact that there will be a ton of people on it however. I fear it may disrupt some rp.
Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Indeed.
What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?:
You don't need to permanently kill your character when you die. You may however permanently kill your character if you so wish. If you perma-kill your character, you have a one week grace period in which you can return your character from the dead. After the one week is over, your character can no longer be brought back from the grave. Another person may never permanently kill your character, although an Administrator has the right to enforce one in extreme circumstances.
I agree with this rule because often in Roleplay, a fight to the death is inevitable. It just doesn't always seem fair to have to lose your most developed character because you stole someone's loaf of bread.
Definitions This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another website / person's!
What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying, in my vision, is the act of becoming a personna seperate from yourself. This can be for sheer enjoyment, or to express certain emotions you dislike to show in public.
What’s metagaming?: Metagaming is as It's name states. It is the act of using OOC information IC for your own advantage, Such as ((Hey guys! Party at the boat! *Everyone shows up, despite not having Ic reasons to.*
What’s powergaming?: Powergaming can have several meanings. One of which is to give your character incredible strengths with no countering. The other is where you force an emote onto another with them having no chance of a counterattack or dodge. An example of both: *Jade fires a shot at John* *John teleports randomly behind Jade and kills her with a punch*
In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.
What’s your character called?: Echo Baskerville
What race are they (and sub-race)?: High Elven
What sex are they?: Female
How old are they?: 21
Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing):
Echo was abandoned at around age three, just as she was learning to speak. Her parents were unknown, both by her, and the Matron who took her in. She grew up in Abresi, where after leaving the orphanage, was forced to a life of theivery. She was rather good at it for a while, and was able to pickpocket enough to feed herself and provide for those such needs. Eventually, she came across a lucky score. A noble had left his cart unattended, a mistake which he very likely regretted, And Echo was able to scrounge up a good profit. In fact, she had "found" enough gold to buy fancy clothes and sustain herself until age of 18. Instead of theiving to get by, She got a job as a maid. For a while she was fine with it, but she got fed up with her master very quickly. She quit and became a wanderer, getting her sustenance either by doing it herself or begging.
What are they like (personality)?: Echo is simpleminded and good at following directions. She can however get rebellious and angered if her free will or the well being of her or another is threatened. But when the forementioned circumstances arent present she's either happy or lacking emotion entirely.
What are their ambitions?: She doesn't really have any major goals in life, other than to protect others.
Do they have any special skills?: She is very agile, and rather good at manipulative speech. She is also rather good at playing a flute.
What are their weaknesses?: She is very self-concious, an insult can either enrage her or tear her apart, depending on the severity. She also has the common weaknesses of high elves, such as not being the best at combat.
Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: Echo is an average high elven woman, for the most part. She stands tall, wears a red and white ensemble with ridiculously long sleeves, and whit boots that nearly come to her knees. She has dark blonde hair and bright green eyes, with shortened hair. Her physique would be described as somewhat attractive, but not worthy of falling in love with on sight.
Anything else you want to say about them?: She carries a rather strange energy about her, those around her may feel awkward or feel that she's a bit odd. The main reason is that she speaks in third person, as a result of not wanting to sound selfish. (Much like the Kha'jiit from Skyrim)
