  1. A likeness delineating a feast being shared amongst a congregation of Orenian nobles, c. 1879 Vassals and nobility of Oren alike are exceptionally fundamental to the Kingdom of Oren. 4. UNITY FROM ASSEMBLY “No doubt, unity is something to be desired, to be striven for, but it cannot be willed by mere declarations.” SUMMARY Graciously hosted by the Kingdom of Suffonia, this meeting saw attendance of nearly forty representatives of many nations and factions. Humans, Elves, Orcs and Kha spoke freely upon matters that concerned the alliance, discussing what is to come in the next few years. The meeting started off with a welcoming speech presented by the sensational Doctor Daniel, top General of the AIS. After introductory statements from each of the signatories, Hetman Radu set the agenda in motion. Each piece of the agenda was conversed and debated through prudently, and procedures were compromised until complete agreement between the members of the alliance. The signatories were able to see through their differences for the greater objective, that is to unite against the evil Orenian empire. Several notable speakers were the Mortal King Aroen, Rex Skalp, General Hadvar, Hetman Radu, Vzohd Phlogiston, Sheikh Ibraheem and Regent Chadmyr. A Suffonian artist’s depiction of the meeting. THE AGENDA Each piece of agenda is discussed or voted upon, guided through by a selected speaker. The AIS signatories shall follow through and complete the tasks listed within a time span of at most two years. 1) The Elven Tripartite With the dissolution of the elven alliance, the AIS signatories discuss the high elves’ position within the ongoing war against the ISA. 2) Chevolek Union Led by Vzohd Phlogiston, the Chevolek Union declares its allegiance to the AIS. The alliance welcomes the extremists with open arms. 3) Sir Adrian “The Failure” The council assesses the failed knight Adrian, deeming him only foolish and hopeless. Unanimity is secured, all signatories agreeing that upon his capture, he shall be sentenced to death by hanging for his crimes against the AIS. 4) The AIS Bounty List In an attempt to better war efforts, the council assembles bounties of individual nations to create a coalesce list for the cuckold orenian empire. Rewards shall be provided by signatories that place the bounty. 5) The Law of Humanity The AIS signatories concur that any woman or child not of noble or leadership or influential status shall be spared, given that they do not actively support the futile efforts of the degenerate orenians and co. The law shall be finalized in time before the next meeting. ON FUTURE MEETINGS Through meetings between the AIS signatories, progression is made and unity shown. Many more assemblies, small or large, shall occur in future times to further solidify this great alliance. The location of the meetings will be rotated among the signatories’ territories, to promote union and insight of the unique cultures of the AIS. Penned by some Ruberni Scribe, 19th of the Deep Cold, 1754
  5. CALL FOR A MEETING RECENT EVENTS & MEETING With the signing of the Orenian-Elven Peace Accord, confusion arose within the rank of nations. Though that did not effect nor falter the unity and strength of the nations and settlements that remained in the AIS. Merely a couple of saint days ago, the AIS forces proved such by winning an unfavorable battle against the Orenians, a battle that turned into a bloodbath soon after it began. With our enemies now hiding within the safety of their walls, the AIS will only continue to pursue victory. A meeting shall be called upon all remaining signatories of the AIS, and any nations or factions that wish to join this almighty alliance. The agenda will focus on the future of the alliance, as well as to unite and welcome both current settlements and new settlements that will join the alliance. A Ruberni artist’s depiction of The Battle of Adria, Orenians and Haensemen being slaughtered by forces of the AIS. INVITATIONS The meeting will be held in two saint days, at the Kingdom of Suffonia. This is a compulsory meeting for all nations who wish to continue to show their support to the AIS. A MESSAGE TO OTHER SETTLEMENTS Those who have understood their grave mistake of siding with the Orenians, understand that your fate has not been decided by us just yet. We will allow those who wish to join the Alliance to contact a representative and terms can be discussed for your acceptance into the AIS. Think of the settlement and your citizens that reside within it, think of their safety and well-being before having them die for a Kingdom that cares only about power and wealth, while the leaders perform acts under the shadows, and the degenerate Peter III lays bountiful from your hard work and accomplishments. Penned by Hetman Radu of House Vilac 9th of the First Seed, 1754
  6. Radu would look to his sword, only to see it was covered in blood from hilt to tip “The Orenians came. The Orenians fought. The Orenians died.”

  8. A parchment would be nailed onto notice boards, road signs and city gates by men in dark cloth. “In opening, I tell the tale of my father; The Vilacyi Warlord known as Georgius, the Butcher of Ves, Sired by Martius of Vilac, was best known to the countryside as the beast responsible for the murder of priests, women and children, all whose families held loyalties opposing his own. My father burnt down churches, farms, houses, and land all owned by the city of Ves when he was called upon by Antonius I to wreak havoc upon his foes. My father would plunge his sword into the hearts of his enemies for all to see, and drink the blood of the worthy from their skulls. All these accomplishments he had done for his Blood kindred. I, Radu Vilac, speak now to the cuckolds and cowards who have bowed themselves in fealty to the Emperor Peter III. I have descended from the mountains with one goal, to smite those who stain their own blood with fraternity alongside our sworn enemies. To the True Imperials, the ones who still stand as believers of Aurelius’ creation of a strong, militaristic Empire of Man, I invite you; burn down our ancient foes in their cobble houses, in their places of worship, if they shall not meet on the field of battle. I call upon the followers and descendants of the House of Alstion, the House of Tiber, the House of Helane and the House of Vilac to unite in arms and crush this Empire of weaklings. Those of Aurelius’ blood deal not in forgiveness, and for our enemies the lowest of hell’s daemons shall be your eternal accompaniment. The enemies of House Vilac will be set upon and burnt at the stake. Just as my ruthless father I will not limit my wrath to just men, but for any of those who follow the pretender; let it be priest, or woman, they shall be burnt by dragon’s flame. All shall know the agony of the dragon’s Ire.” Radu of House Vilac

  10. O brother of mine, bastard and impure, how strange of you to defame me. Is there no part in your body that feels shame for striking his own brother when he is on a pilgrimage? What great son of Martius would revel in cloak and dagger tactics. You claim descendancy from the four prophets, from divine Aurelius, Arpad the Bear and of Antonius. How is that your sword is so short? Unfit and unclean for battle so much that its blunt end can only penetrate the spine. I spit on your cowardice and wretched tactics, meet me on the Rubern fields where we shed the blood of Orenians in past years. By the river ruber, the red blood soaked river of our fallen enemies. A duel to the death should you keep up this foolish bravado. Georgius of Vilacz
  11. Konyves would state while looking at the missive with a cheeky grin “This is the start of their fall”

  13. PACT OF DRAGON AND MAGI “We stand proudly with our allies” - Antonius I 6th of Sigismund’s End, 1711 This pact hereby entails the principles to an accord agreed upon by the signees, to be adhered to by both their respective civilians and military alike. Should either principle be broken by a respective participant of either nation, then a truce will be inherently invoked, ergo allowing a maximum of three saints days wherein efforts to re-evaluate the accord, and, or, deem the accord no longer viable. Henceforth, both parties will adhere to a strict non-aggression agreement that will be enforced. Regarding the flow of goods and trade, no customs will discourage any exchange. Mobility between the nations will be enforced by both, and the roads swept of bandits who may harass our fair people. Both parties will aid one another in obtaining fugitives and criminals to their respective civilization unless one has a pact with said respective nation from which the fugitive hails from. Both signatories hereby establish that both parties agree to support one another with no less of the entirety of their military, should it be an offensive or defensive campaign. Recognizing the supremacy the primary signatory holds over the Elysians if this supremacy is contested then for the duration of until the end of the next war, the pact will ascend into a vassalization pact in which the Elysians vassalize under the primary signatory. HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Antonius I of the House of Horen, Emperor of Man, King of Renatus, Marna, Mardon, Salvus, Seventis, Savoy, Courland, Santegia, Kaz’Ulrah, and Norland, Duke of the Crownlands, Avar, and Frederica, Count of Helena, Carlostadt,Alamar, Frederica, Thesmer, Thelen, Lorath, and Cantal, Baron of Darkwood, Pacha, Eastcliffe, and Gravelhold, Fidei Defensor, First Human Prince of Malinor, Protector of the Heartlanders, Highlanders, Farfolk, etcetera Archmage, Auriel aet’Vaelii Lothryne, Archmage of the Vale, Preserver of the Void

  20. Muhammed ibn Qasim would look in disgust as he would consult with his brother-in-arms of House Bartham in the streets of Carolustadt ”What is this man thinking? He wishes to create a set of armed soldiers under his control and take the jobs and duties of the Legionnaire?! 21. “Conflict is my will, strife is my strength, I shall never yield.” - Konyves Ivanovich within the Yatl Wastes - Konyves strode atop a black mare, cladded in bundles of fur, leather and cloth. It was not his typical black plated garb. The fur itches and smells of urine and manure. The sewing on the cloth lining was of poor quality, and the leather seemed to be coming undone with each leap and bound his stead made in the rocky snow terrain. He missed his pinewood forests and lush moors of his homeland, Styria. However, this was no time to be homesick, for his tasks were in the depths of hell, within the wastes. He and his small retinue of men had found a clearing within the thick layers of snow and made camp for the night, the roaring hearth of the campfire was all that kept them from keeling over and succumbing to the wrath of the cold night. Their horses were not faring well either, for they had lost two already out of the ten they had come with. The south was horrifying, and untamed. All matter of beasts waited within the blinding flurry of blizzards and snowstorms. They had been ambushed not but a few kilometers away from the city of Markev. Spectral soldiers bearing the Vaeyl order’s colors had slain three men, before being banished back to their black hold in the south. He had never truly fought these wraiths of the South, and only heard tales about it in court. He recalled the superstition about the beings, and the denial many northern nobles made about their existence. “The Haensei not lie about their babayaga…” Konyves mumbled to himself, as he drank from his flask filled with carrion black. “Nyet they did not, to think they told truth all time.” Syd would state, the lord’s scribe and council member from Styria. “We make move at dawn, your grace.” Syd would grumble, “Best to sleep now, if you can.” Syd would gripe as he’d move towards his bedding around the fire, and slip into its warmth. Konyves would soon follow, slipping into his own bedding, laying on his back. He’d stare into the night sky above. The aurora above them was mesmerizing, and bathed the night sky in its flare og blue and pale green. Truly if the lands around him hadn’t tried to kill him at every turn, this place wouldn’t be so bad. As he gazed at the lights, his vision began to fuzz and he slipped into a deep sleep. … “Your Imperial Majesty,” Konyves would address the emperor of man, Aurelius Horen, “I have come, at your behest.” “ My Lord of Styria, dire news has come from the south. The land is locked in an eternal night, and winter is worsening. Evil is afoot, and we want you, to go south,” the divine Aurelius would state, locking his eyes with Konyves, a sense of stress and worry could be felt over the aging emperor. “Yes, your majesty, what is task you wish of me.” Konyves would press, unsure of why he was to be sent southbound. “It is because we trust your sword arm, we command you and a group of your choosing to scout out the source of this nefarious evil, and attempt to put an end to the darkness plaguing the south.” Aurelius would be quick to respond, a man who was always close to the point, Konyves noted. “Very well, I move at first light tomorrow.” … The cold had battered the small group, as the mounds of snow piled around them as they trudged through the harsh blizzard. Every step was a challenging, as the snow sought to envelop those who trampled on it. They neared the ice wall in the distance, but the land around them was eerily tame. Snow, rocks, and more snow for as far as the eye could see. Save for the menacing walls of ice ahead, but other than that, nothing. Not a spark of life, just death all around them. It was then a call was echoed in the distance, and all the men froze in their place. It chilled their spine and made their skin tremble, as the icy howl of a horn erupted the silence that was about them. Death was coming. Everyone drew their swords and dismounted, huddling into a circle. With their backs to each other, they stared outward into the greyish white mist that had encompassed them. Then a figure akin to a bear burst from the mist, disrupting their defensive position, knocking over everyone that was in the figure’s path. A man’s cry for help was cut off by a meaty crunch of bone and flesh as Konyves recovered from being knocked over by what felt like a horse that had ramed him. He looked toward the direction of where the cry had came from and froze in fear. A massive white beast, similar to a bear had been devouring one of his men, a farm boy from Styria, he grimaced and quickly rose to his feet. Around his men were fighting the specters of the Vaeyl, the sword clashing with the illusions. Konyves rose his black mace and brought it down onto a charging specter and layed into its form with a metallic clang. It fell backwards and collapsed into the snow, before slowly dissipating. He had no time to recover as another specter flung itself at him. Unable to react as fast he felt a blade run into his left shoulder, a pained cry was all he could muster. It was then the cackling specter tore away it’s blade and made ready to strike again, that it too was cut down from behind, collapsing into the snow, and dissipation in a similar fashion.”Your grace, we must move!” Konyves looked up, and recognized Syd, although the man has a cut down the left side of his face, taking an eye. He simply nodded and the two men limped away into the storm. The men around them were being butchered, but gave their lives to protect their margrave. Both men rushed through the snow, in a blind panic. The sounds of clashing behind them had ceased, and the eerie silence had returned. Konyves and Syd both scanned around them before another horn call was made, directly behind the two. “Your grace, you must go. I shall hold them.” Syd said to Konyves. “I cannot do that, what man would I be?!” Konyves angrily shouted at Syd, fury and anger in his eyes. The council member simply smiled, “You have family to return too. Whilst I?” he grunted with a bloody cordial, before spitting a wad of spittle and blood, “I do not, go. Go to your son, to our people.” Syd stated, a stoic and serious tone had come about his tone. Konyves looked at Syd then with a pained sigh he nodded, “Godan protect you and may the Emperor bliss your courage, Syd.” the margrave said to his loyal companion. “May he protect us all,“ Syd stated before a second blast was made, and he pushed the margrave, “GO! NOW!” the man shouted as he turned to the direction of the blast. In an expression of resentment and anger, Konyves turned and began to run into the blinding blizzard. … “Come on you motherless bastards… COME MEET YOUR END!” Syd would taunt into the mist around him. It was then figures began to materialize from the mist, cladded in mystical armor and brandishing blades of woe, “That’s it… come on…” Syd would echoe again, as his eyes widened and was dumbfounded. The numbers of the specters just kept steadily growing, it was like a swarm that had found its prey, a pack of wolves to a wounded sheep. Syd simply began to bark out in laughter and hysteria as he charged forth into the nearest specter. He waylayed his longsword into the specter’s blade before he found an opening in the left side, and cleaved his sword through, causing the specter to collapse into the snow. He then parried a strike that came from his right as another attempted to end his life. He turned and ran his longsword through the specter’s facial visage and ripped it out, watching the being fall backwards into the snow. Then a sharp pain burned in his back as a specter brought a slash down onto his back. With a pained cry of anguish he turned around and quickly went to dismember the torso from the legs of the specter, sending the two parts collapsing into the snow. It was then a spear thrust was sent through Syd’s abdomen. Syd spewed forth onto the snow a torrent of blood and vomit from his mouth as he collapsed onto his back, having the spear rip out of him. He laid there on his back, gazing to the sky above, wheezing and gurgling on his blood. A metal foot was planted on his chest, crushing his ribs below. He gazed into the soulless figure above him, it’s helm was fashioned similar to a skull. Syd simply gave a blood stained smile, and began to chuckle, “Be seeing you..” was all he was able to mutter as a blade was ran through his throat. The death throes of Syd were quick, before his movements were stopped altogether, his life ended. … Konyves trekked into the blinding snow, the fighting behind him again had silenced, and a calm befallen about him. He panted hard, as each breath he blew out emitted a raspy thick frost. He was tired, fatigued, and broken. His men had given their lives to him. His friend had sacrificed himself so that the margrave may return home. He had appeared a strong man, unyielding and fierce, but now he was a shattered husk. The horrors of the south had petrified him, how can GOD allow such beings to exist? He wondered about life and its meaning, for everything around him was filled with images of his life. The refounding of Styria. The dissolution of his rivals in Adria. It all flashed before him, but then it was shattered. A high pitched horn blast echoed around him, breaking his thought. The clarion call had sounded, beckoning him home. (Written by Wolfdwg)
  22. You dont think you a bit late to be in that stage of “finding free land and starting a settlement”
  23. “CRUSH THEM! BURN THEM! MAKE THEM HOWL!” - Ser Bogdan Barrow, addressing his men- Ample time was given, yet nothing. No response, no plea, no acknowledgment was given towards the Radovic forces trenched outside of Sun’s Smile Hold. They had their chance to safe face and leave these lands, but arrogant men they are. “Give them volley!” shouted Ser Bogdan Barrow atop his white steed. A line of Radovic men aimed their various woodworks at the keep, and let loose a hail of arrow fire. After mere moments of flight, the arrows lodged themselves in the stonework, and wooden supports. Very shouts could be heard from the castle, as lights were given life, the defenders were mustering. The small Radovic force that had entrenched themselves outside, were soon joined by the bulwark of the Styrian host. Various icons and heraldry flapped and fluttered in the brisk cold wind. Soon Ser Bogdan was not alone. To the side of him was the lord marshal of Styria, Ilya Ivanovich atop a black steed. The man’s stern stoic gaze fell on the keep, eyeing the scrambling defenders. “Give them steel, no mercy,” he stated, unsheathing his longsword, and pointing it towards the keep. Soon the area around Sun’s Smile Hold erupted in sounds of siege. It had begun.
