Well I wouldn't recommend trying to use alchemy for money. For levels you should just brew basic drinks. Eggnog = water and eggs Mead = wheat. Resin from trees = mulled wine. For making money I think you should buy some nether wart from sutica or somewhere like that and build yourself a basement and farm nether warts. That's my money making way at least.
