You can go alot faster with it though every time you go down slightly you gain tons of ground on someone on foot.

Character’s name: Carl Pines Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Human Character’s age: 18 Biography: Carl was born to his father Ulric and mother Leia on the 11th of the Grand Harvest 1533, inside the city of Felsen. They were overjoyed at his birth, but as he grew up they noticed that he was smaller than the other children, which was a problem since his father was a soldier, and he had wanted his son to be the same. Realizing that something had to change, he began drilling Carl every day. After almost a year of his rigorous training, on his 11th birthday, his dad took him out on his first hunt. As a young child with no experience in hunting, he did what most would expect, went and stepped on a twig and scared the deer away. His father then scolded him for this, leading him to the road and sending him home. On the way home, Carl was approached by a group of sketchy looking men, one of whom held his hand out towards Carl, soon after that a coal black smog snaking out of his gauntlet and towards Carl. Carl's face would whiten as he backed up tripping and landing on his backside, the smog would then latch on as Carl trembled in fear as his very life-force was sucked out of him, his face growing paler and paler. He would quickly pass out from the agonizing pain. Around an hour or so later he would awaken to his fathers worry stricken face looking down at him. "What happened?" he would ask as soon as he noticed Carl's eyes shoot open, Carl would weakly spout "Elf... black robes." before falling back into unconsciousness. Upon hearing this Ulric would hoist Carl up and over his shoulder and run home as fast as he could with his child and a rabbit over his shoulders. Upon reaching Felsen's gate the guards would look down at him confusedly from the walls on calling out "What happened Ulric?" Ulric would shout out "Dark Mages!" before sprinting inside the gates as they slammed shut behind him. Quickly he would rush to the 'hospital' demanding them to treat his son. Carl would recover, and continue to train with his father, though his father was more cautious about leaving his side from then on. On the day of Carl's 18th birthday he would stare up at the intimidating size of the Paladin's mansion, setting out the path he had decided to walk the day he was attacked by that elf. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Carl is slow to anger, and quick to forgive, though he holds no tolerance for those who would do the innocent harm. He is fiercely loyal to those close to him, and would gladly lay down his life to save any one of them. After that faithful day he was always a little different, as if most of the happiness inside of his soul had been sucked out. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) A paladin, in order to slay those who would do the innocent harm. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Carl is proficient at hunting, and very good at sword and hand to hand combat. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Carl is not very good at riding horses, cooking, cleaning, staying organized, he also has problems wielding heavier weapons such as war hammers. Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Carl is 5'11 slightly above average, and well built. He has black hair, and green eyes like his father. If one were to stare into his eyes for long enough they would feel as if something was missing from them. He has multiple scars on his back from beatings, and one scar on his arm from where a dog bit him. Though he normally goes around in his full suit of armor.
