  1. The Juverin Republic The mountain city of Noctum, the last line of defense. The city of the elite was quiet on this particular day. Civilian noise barely echoed through the streets these days, once a bastion of defense in the Great War was now a bastion for the elite. In the chambers of city halls raged a meeting, one that happened everyday. In deciding the cities next financial moves. Today it was just three members of the council gathered. The recently anointed heiress of Ricci Steel Co. Octavia Ricci, an above average woman. With good facial features and skin but she lacked in assets. A somewhat tall and thin woman, with a good smile but sadistic mind when it came to running a company. Her workers often risked their lives. In dangerous working conditions for minimum pay. But what else would they do for work? The second man, was the ugliest fat bastard. Who came into power through his father, he was overweight. Disgusting and simply not attractive in anyway. Maybe outside of his occasional charm. Richie Colombo, the owner of Panther Aviation was a man of intelligence though. He graduated from the most Esteemed universities nearly top of his class. His family gave the Republic their to top of the line Panther 22 Fighter plane, and was a man with ideas to propel the nations Air Force into a new future. It still didn’t stop him from being a disgusting scumbag though. The last one was a man of extraordinary looks. He had a choice of every woman he wanted, he had darker tanned skin, light green eyes and short black hair. He also had the wealth and the smarts. But he was arrogant, and careless with his work. But he was one of the luckiest men in the world. Or so everyone thought, the newly elected President was anything but blessed since being elected he had been stuck, dealing with the morons of this city and beyond. Keeping everyone in check was a nightmare, but he kind of found joy in the sadistic nature of life that took hold of his nation. Even if he thought the Juverin had a few cancers that should be surgically removed. 2. Discord:you have it Name of Nation: Juverin Republic Type of Government: Oligarchy History/Culture: The People of Juverin were located in the southwestern island. Relatively isolated from any and all conflict during the Great War, but it did not save them from being apart of the war in one way or another Octavian Cierco, was the public figure head of the Republic, appointed by the council. The wealthy who had vice grips over the markets and political influences. They supplied anything the consumers were purchasing. Panther P-22s, troops, steel. Any and all that they could provide in a surplus. This provided a great boon to the economy, it was shining bright, like a dying star. Which is exactly what it was. Once the Great War ended, many people quit buying. Factories shut down and a recession began to fall over the people of Juverin. It was a slippery slope of recovery, many policies were in order to stop the council from devouring themselves. It was plummeting fast before coming to a grinding halt. Then it began to come back around slowly, but surely. It was on a steady climb as the internal economy began to grow. Becoming less dependent on exports for growth. The Republic was on the rise and council was beginning to grow in power. 3. Republic of Ithaca The kingdom laid at rest, it had to recover from recent misfortunes with trade routes being disrupted and slavers running about the bay. The Grand Marshall laid awake, looking out at the ocean. His worries growning worse and worse as the days go by. Election Year: It was all but a typical weather day in Dricaster, the tense air filled with humidity and the skies filled with dark clouds that spelled a downpour. It came on one of the busiest times of the year for the Republic, the start of the elections. 8 different candidates were approved to be potentially be elected, and each one varied mighty for the next. Would fate decide? Or would the corruption deep in the political ranks wrangle the last free thing of Ithaca down with it. With the council being elected, the senators could only do so much in terms of approving government spending and pushing forward an agenda. It was a tricky time for those placed in this position. A New Era: Under the direction of Grand Marshall Desmond Aulus, the military would start to devout more focus towards its land forces. Modernization, expanding the variety of forces, and establishing border forts. Desmond had a plan, and a large marjortiy of the funding was granted to him to complete it. As the navy was important, the land was equally as important. The mountains wouldn’t protect them forever. Actions: Modernizing the military, with production of crossbows, armor and weaponry. (MOD) A construction of two border forts on the eastern most border, one guarding the mountain pass of Kar’Draken and the other near the southernmost border of the unknown. (MOD) A small naval expedition and land expedition is sent west to explore the islands and lands resource value and if it was a worthy business venture. (MOD) Training a select group of soldiers at the art of bordering and naval warfare. (MOD) An emissary is dispatched to Roymer, and the supposed “Empire of Man” that is making waves in Ithaca to discuss trade. (MOD and TANK)
  4. Discord: Civilisation (Name): The Republic of Ithaca Capital (Name): Dricaster Government (Empire, Republic, etc, you may go into details): Merchant Republic, made up of three major electoral seats each with two appointed advisors and 16 minor parliament seats. Positions as followed. Doge Chancellor of Commerce Grand Marshall Racial Distribution (Primary Race, probably minorities?): 72% Human, 13% Dwarf, 15% Elf Racial traits (as needed): Dwarves: Hardy individual, who are natural strong and gifted in smithing. They can take a beating. They are overcome by their greed and their height. They are dark skinned, with mostly dark hair. Rarely do they have lighter features. Elves: Extremely long life span, that limits their reproductive ability, they also had tan skin but their hair colored varied. This sect of eleves was also very attuned with some magically ability. Which was somewhat prevalent with their jobs. Religion (Whatever you prefer, you may be creative):The Religion of Ithaca is varied, many gods are worshipped throughout the Republic, only a select few gods have seen their worship outlawed. Technology & Arcana (that is notable; have you pursued magic? Be fair and remember to do tradeoffs): Magic has very little impact in Ithaca, it is rarely used outside of clerical work even then, only a select few elves have access to that magic. Ithaca is mostly focused on technological advances. Mainly in the naval department. Navigation, different ships, and weapons for those ships so they weren’t entirely dependent on ramming a ship for them to be effective. The land tech lacked advancements outside of wagons for their caravans. The Ithacan were mainly focused on the naval aspect of things. Not really having the time or resources to devout into magic or land technology. Description (Culture, history, politics etc): Hundreds of years ago, Ithaca’s people were several warring nations against each other. Constant bloodshed soaked the islands, mountains and forest that laid within. Years and years of clashes between the three races led to the near extinction. Wars over valuable resources and age-old grudges plunged Ithaca into one of its darkest days. Through a series of conquests and battles, the leaders of each respective race met before the damage was permanently done. They decided to end further bloodshed a system that represented each tribal state fairly and equally would be established. Elected officials would represent each race, with wildcards in there. Their focus would lie on the sea and protecting their borders as best as possible. Then the Republic of Ithaca was born. Many years later the Kingdom stands at a tipping point, the great city of Dricaster. Lays as the nation’s crown jewel of trade and important. As the outer regions begin to feel ignored for the gold. Racism begins to run rampant, the Blood Nights passed many years ago but some are predicting their return. When the collapse comes, it will rock the nation to its core. The culture is a mix between Latin and on the outer reaches Germanic. Which causes some political strife but nothing the people of Ithaca really fret. Though in this new age, the minority begins to grow worrisome as their human counterparts begin to outnumber them 6-1. Geography & location (As detailed as you wish, with a note on the map below as to where your realm would be in existence): The geography of Ithaca is laid out across the southern edge of the known world. With mountains cutting across the Eastern and southern border. A dense forest lying in between them and the northern tip where the islands start to form. Then plains where most humans live, on the islands and the peninsula. Size (Tying in with racial distribution, as well as geographic location. Be just, the map is only that big): A big land mass is held within the kingdom to fit the growing population and to incorporate the racial distribution.

  7. Goldman’s Caravan Tobias Goldman, was a middle aged man. One of fame and riches from his previous life on the west coast, one who up until he came into Chicago. Had experienced hardships of the waste, through his travels. His group had grown quite a bit recently, and he was worried. Worried about their safety, and what else laid in Chicago. Thomas was his second hand man, his best friend. They stood their on top of their headquarters smoking some cigarettes, as the watched their people work on some. Gathering scrap for the upcoming buildings and production that was going to be needed for some projects. “Beautiful isn’t it?” Thomas looked over to Toby, and smiled. Patting him on the back. “Struggling to survive?” Tony Laughed. Taking a short drag off the cigarette. “No people working together to create a common goal. We have a chance to produce something great here. We need to get out in front of this though and start expanding out. We are going to hit our production cap soon.” Thomas looked over towards the west, and then south pointing out. “These two blocks over here. Securing these should be our priority.” He finished off his cigarette and then took a drink out of his canteen. “I spoke to Sarahbeth, if we keep this pace of expansion and immigrants coming in. We won’t be able to produce anything else but food. So I allocated our scientist to her for research for the next couple years.” Thomas put his stuff away, tapped Toby on the back and walked away. “Alrighty then.” He laughed and sat down on the roof, pulling out his journal and began tracking their supplies and production. 10. The Kingdom of Hilmedhi The Nexus was burning bright in the night sky, as it did throughout the year. Rain sizzled off the stone around the platform, as the lava that ran through it kept the stones hot. It was one of the worst assignments for the military to guard, several times had the weak hearted ones passed out from the combination of heat from the Nexus and the humidity that drenched most of Hilmedhi. Ashur was growing fond of the feeling, he came here once a year. For his annual blessing from Moradin, as he thought. It was his reward for being such a devout follower, one with little faults. His one glaring fault though, his anger. He pounded away at his anvil, the inner hallway filled with bouncing echoes of hammer hitting steel. The humidity was ready to burst into rain, as it was one of the hottest days on the continent. The same week every year, was when Ashur would return here. His excuse, his pleasure to get out of clan politics. Recently the stress of clearing Dorhimi, purging it of undesirables had reached its peak within him. This was his meditation, his peace. The one thing that guided him through the darkness, of his family’s slaughter. It always affected him at times he did not need it to. The young man was conflicted, he missed his former life. Missed the dumb stuff he could get away with. The pressure free life, that was not bound by the fate of millions of people within his kingdom. He peered through his gold trimmed black hood, as he beat away at metal. Glaring through his emerald green eyes, sweat beading down face. He saw a familiar eyes that peered through the darkness, observing him. A deep sigh followed in recognition of the old eyes that observed like an owl in the night. , “What have a told you about the spying, Cardinal?” The older dwarf stepped out of the shadows into fiery lit room, a long white beard clung to the older face of the public leader of the Church. “I was just observing a student of mine. A boy once lost and out of place, now one of the most powerful throughout the kingdom. My concerns for you are valid.” He cracked a smile, as he picked up the boy’s staff. Balancing it in his hands. “Still see you haven’t taken it upon yourself to bestow yourself with a gift.” Ashur’s eyes glowed brighter than before a bit of anger and a bit of shock flowed through them. “Of course not. The Kingdom has no need for me to be gifted with such power. Fearing me is not what I need our people to be doing.” “You take my teachings to much to heart. Respect and fear are different. You are the only known dwarf that is able to manipulate Moradin’s magic the ways you do so. The only one who can summon his unique gift as a translation for the work you do.” Sylas laughed, a bit. “You were destined to be where you are. Fate has chosen you. Your father believed that Moradin placed you in that forest. It was a sign to him. I will leave you be. Good day Ashur.” He looked at him, cracked a smile and disappeared back into the dimly lit hallways. The young boy looked down the hallway, the sweat soaking into the rough features of his face. As he watched his mentor disappear like a ghost into long dark hallway. As a tear began to stream down his cheek, the first time he had really let his other emotions show. He was a broken soul, which was slowly being pieced together through his love for Moradin and the Kingdom. A blind rage filled him, for much of his life. Until this very moment. Where he accepted his fate, his destiny. As the next High King of Hilmedhi. A story very little knew about, but a story worth telling. The peasant boy, turned Prophet of Moradin and High King of Hilmedhi. Stats: Population: 7,040,000 Gold 182,500 Actions: Two new settlements are established on the islands near the peninsula. 11. The Kingdom of Hilmedhi The Great Port City of Dorhimi, was glistening in the early morning sunlight. The last stop for many fleets heading west. Which lead to its importance. It was the most populated city in the Kingdom from foreigners alone. Which entwined with crime, slave trade, and some poverty still struck the streets with its rag ridden vagriants. It was a jewel on the edge of the jungle. The gateway for many a nation looking to expand their horizons. Dorhimi’s Protectors had seen their fair share of atrocities committed. Especially by those foreigners who 27 short years ago would have never set foot in their homeland. Like most enforcers of the law, they were ruthless and corrupt when it came to those they did not approve of. It was reaching a boiling point, as Throck was away leading his great nation in a time of war and Ruth was away, administering the upper half of the Kingdom with Elizabeth one of the twin princesses. It was down to the two presumptive favorites in the eyes of their father to help quell the situation. Ashur stood upon the dock, his dark hood covering his head. His staff was gripped in his right hand, solid oak wood, lined with silver and gold that ran through the shaft of the staff. At the top, laid a carefully crafted gold and silver infused nest that held the sapphire on top of it. It glistened off the sunlight like the waves themselves. He was joined by his sister Syndra, who carried the signature amber hair that blessed the Cinder family line. Freckles dotted across her nose and cheeks. Her light green eyes glowed, amplified by her tan complexion. She was one of the prettier Hilmedhians, which made this job much more of a risk. Her sword like her mother’s glistened at her hip when it was revealed. They looked out upon the sea, as the smooth waves moved under her feet. Behind them stood their Ironbreakers, stout in nature. Sworn to protect their royalty. Everyone was dressed in their cloaks. To keep their surprise appearance hidden. Towards the back of the group, stood a 12ft tall stone giant. The latest of Ashur’s creations. It stood silent, as it watched over the street. Blocking all foot traffic. “Sad sight. Seeing how Damien lost an arm and our fleet because he ceded his command to Arragin. No wonder father married her off when she hit adulthood.” Ashur glanced over at his sister, a slight hint of hate filled his voice. “She let her ego get the best of her. The best thing we got from her is peace of mind and securing our peninsula.” he shifted his weight, as he heard the sigh coming from his sister. “She did not completely fail. She captured the man responsible for your family’s slaughter. Ashur.” She turned on her heels to face him. “I see your anger. Without them, you would not be where you are today. She did cost our nation a great deal of resources and nearly our uncle. She cost those miserable blood worshippers their leader. She became what father fears Elizabeth will become. A bloodthirsty, power obsessed fiend.” Her voice tailed off, in the back of her mind she hated talking about her twin like this. Her best friend, but she knew it was true. “This is to stay between us Syndra. Appearances must be kept, despite feelings. Elizabeth is still family. We must hope her mind stays sane.” “Am I some nimwit to you? I know how this game is played Ashur.” She snapped back. “No you are not daft. The game changes. Atleast I can account for you not being amazed by things you thought you never see. Like those peasants who gawked over Padma and her braindead companions who reek of ****.” The pair, chuckled a bit before the march of the Dorhimi Protectors echoed through the stone roads and alleys. “It is time we made our appearance know.” his face turned dark. As he mumbled a few words in prayer. As his golem came to life, the streets shook under the heavy stone footing. A sweeping justice was coming through Dorhimi. A change that would rattle the city in blood. Cleansing of filth had begun. 14. Kingdom of Hilmedhi Ashur and the fellow priest of Moradin looked in awe at the design the Nexus held before them. Ashur had just approached manhood, and could feel the power surging through him once he stepped onto the platform. His life was leading up to this moment, each step inward he could feel the power of Moradin building up in his veins. He looked over at the other priest, and cracked a devious smile, “Bring the beast in!” He looked around, as the hulking 12 foot tall stone giant stepped forward. Each step shaking the earth around him. He stared up once the beast stopped before him, “Stand in the middle.” He commanded, as the beast groaned out with each step that his master commanded. Following his basic command. “Now stay there until we finish.” He smiled as he approached up the long winding stone stairs, sweating heading down his face as the lava constantly flowed through the man-made wonder. “We begin soon. Prepare.” His voice got deeper, as the priest nodded. Scrambling about to prepare, the first ritual of creation. He cracked open the old history book and begin reciting. “Oh might Moradin! Guide us with your genius, and innovation! Bless us almighty Moradin with a rune more powerful than any other. Show us mortals why we are exactly that! Bless this world with your gifts once more. Show us once more why we are at your mercy!” He begins to chant, as he is rocking back and forth. Now chanting with the other priest, the sweat beading down his face further. 15. Kingdom of Hilmedhi The fire burned hot against the open plains outside the jungles of Hilmedhi. Spreading with no end insight, before suddenly stopping at the rune carved rocks that surrounded the pit of unstoppable fire. Asher looked upon the intense burn, as he smiled wide. His eyes filled with the reflection of the fire. As he figured out how to create one of the deadliest weapons on this planet. Knowing no end, the princess obsession with Moradin and Creation were growing. His ability and genius were expanding has he aged. The boy king turned to the other priest and engineers smiling before waving them off as to go home. As he followed suit, packing up newly designed weapon for the Kingdom as he gathered in his wagon. During the ride home, he cracked open a book he had been saving titled ‘The Rise of Moradin: The Blessing of Powerful Kings’ as he read through the book he discovered several things of interest that laid from devout worship of their God. Rumors of Immortal Kings, and unimaginable weapons that held such power only a few could possess them. These came from a building from what he found as ‘The Nexus’ A great building that a monument in its own right, built in a great plain. Surrounded by stone, a building so powerful it took many a magi to harness the powers held within. But the book ended there with a sad tale of a mad and jealous man, who witnessed what it produced but went mad with his attempts to use such a device. Then the book shut closed, Ashur leaned his head back and sighed. Knowing his dreams wouldn’t be reached for several years. 19. The Kingdom of Hilmedhi The halls were cheering with laughter, though notably empty due to the navy being away at sea and some of the military gone with them. The King looked around the table and sighed a bit drinking from his cup before looking down the long jungle wood table that was engraved and lined with gold trim. “Sylas! Describe that Mirrored City, the landscape of it all.” Throck’s facial features were aging fast, though that is just what is wife saw. The men, cheered and clapped to hear the story encouraging Sylas to drink and tell about the mystic city. He stood up, in a drunken stupor. Leaning in, and leaning out as he took one last gulp before slamming the cup down. “Alright, alright. Calm down.” He smiled wide, his pitch black facial hair covering most of it. “The city was packed full of people, giant creatures we will never witness on this continent. Giant gray beast, that could trample a unit of us Ironbreakers!” The crowd booed playfully, the hall mostly filled with the old guard. “Shhhh!” Sylas hissed. “The city itself, though was something truly to behold for what it lacked in ale. It was made up for in women! An old dwarf can still get down.” He chuckled and stood their taking in the moment, “The landscape around the city and Surya, was similar to our homeland. Humid, massive jungle, and mountain ranges. Nothing beats our homeland though.” He cracked a big smile, as the men cheered around the great stone hall. He even got the Throck the smile, which was seldom on his mind these days with his fleet away at sea tracking down the Mistreavers, and other concerning news on foreign fronts. The King saw the benefits of not keeping his people shrouded from the darkness that covered the world, but keeping these secrets is what lead to a happy nation. He broke his momentary glaze and looked back towards Sylas as he continued. “The city itself was spectacular for the three days we were permitted to stay. Paved with gold, leading up to a magnificent temple. It did smell like ****, in some parts but that is for another time.” He looked around the table with the eyes wide of some of the newer Ironbreakers not yet experiencing the outside world. Engorging in these tales, “We made our way to a temple, which I suppose is their government of sorts. Fanatics of the sun, something I do not understand. Which I understand, was the reason for the mirrors, and the city that never sees the night sky.” He took a deep breath, “The people were not exactly as bright or educated as ours. Which might explain why their city smells like ****.” The group as a whole had a hearty laugh, in good fun. Sylas kept on, dragging out the conversation some more. Encouraging the crowd even more, as the King and Queen took their leave, heading for the bedroom. Exhausted from nothing but stress of events that were soon to come.
