In-Character Information
Character’s name: Hograk Gulzuon
Character’s sex: Male
Character’s race: Orc (Uruk)
Character’s age: 19
Biography: Born into the Gorkil clan in the orc fortress of Gundzkoth in 1573, Hograk strived to become a powerful warrior since the day he was born. When he was 3, his father died gloriously in a battle between the Orcs and the Dwarves, slaying nearly 20 himself. Hograk wanted nothing more than to become stronger than his father. At the age of 4, Hograk was already stronger than many of the other kids around him, and often bullied them to mark his progress of his growth. At 8, he hefted his first weapon into the sky, a crude axe he found abandoned in the city. He practiced with the weapon every day for 2 years, and when he was 10, he boldly strode out of his home, destined to prove his manhood by slaying a minotaur that had been spotted nearby. Approaching the massive beast, he roared a cry into the air and charged it. He swung his axe into the minotaur's thigh and shouted victoriously. However, the beast merely looked at Hograk before roaring into his face and slamming it's vicious sword downward, slicing Hograk's left arm off from the elbow down. Hograk merely looked at his missing arm, not understanding what had happened when the minotaur's horn impaled into his side. With a flick of it's head, the minotaur flung Hograk away, where he landed in a crumpled heap in the sand. Hograk watched the minotaur chuckle at him before darkness took his vision.
Hograk woke up face first in the sand, weak and thirsty. Stumbling up, he slowly made his way back to Gundzkoth with his head down in shame. He arrived at the gates, barely standing, and the Uruk's standing guard spat on him as he shambled through. Hograk made it to his house before falling unconscious on his floor, and didn't recover for nearly a week. When he was finally restored from the wounds, he persuaded an old friend of his father's to take him as a blacksmith's apprentice. Golorak Hazrim'un was a great blacksmith, and agreed to take the young Hograk as his apprentice. Hograk took up the profession quickly, and while the other orcs laughed at his failure for years, he soon came to ignore it. Reaching the age of 19, his apprenticeship to Golorak ended with the creation of a metal gauntlet Hograk could attach to his stump. However, the gauntlet wasn't quite perfect, and was unable to hold things effectively. It merely stood as a testament to the new talent Hograk was proud of himself in. Gathering his meager belongings, he decided to leave the city to explore the world, perfecting his newfound hobby and to further increase his swordsmanship, to bring honor to the memory of his father.
Personality Traits: Hograk enjoys fighting with a burning passion. He constantly wants to prove his strength to himself, to judge how far he's come. He also enjoys the feeling he gets when he forges a weapon or piece of armor perfectly, and seeing new sights is a pleasant feeling for him.
Ambitions: Hograk aspires to become a great blacksmith. More importantly, he wants to become a greater fighter than his father, to bring restore the honor of his name that his father gave when he died, and that he (thinks) he lost when he was defeated by the minotaur
Strengths/Talents: He has an amazing knack for blacksmithing. He is a good fighter with good tactics and an amazing durability.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: He is stupidly brave, and doesn't know when to back down from a fight. He also starts fights often to test his strength, but this is often interpreted by other as him being arrogant and boastful. He doesn't know how to read or write.
Appearance: He is 7' 8" with dark green skin and burning red eyes. His head is completely bald. His skin his rough and covered with small scars, but the most prominent scar being the one in his side and his missing left arm. He is well muscled and has extreme endurance, but as looks among orcs go, he isn't the prettiest tool in the shed. He has small tusks that protrude from his bottom jaw.
