  1. NATION NAME: Kazagar’s Army, Clan Oathbearer RACE: Dwarven MAGIC / SORCERY: Gilded Hall BRIEF DESCRIPTION / HISTORY: Kazagar’s Throng once served the realm of Akizibul many years ago. They did so faithfully and dutifully before they were wrongfully left to die by the regency council during Kazagar’s last campaign against the goblinoid menace. After successfully reclaiming stretches of underway, Kazagar and his army besieged a goblin held Hold. The siege went swimmingly with Kazagar accomplishing something unheard of in his time, a lost hold being reclaimed. Despite his massive successes, Kazagar’s request for reinforcements and other vital resources were continuously put on hold. False promises were continuously made to him and his men as they sat in waiting, not only by the regency council, but also by his fellow Thanes commanding nearby Throngs. His confusion would become clarity, as he soon realized that he and his men were going to serve as sacrificial pawns for the council and the other dwarven nobility as a mighty Goblin horde approached and besieged their recently reclaimed hold. Rather than condemning his men to die in a pointless siege for a council that did not care about them, and an ungrateful realm, Kazagar led a valiant breakout effort, which to their surprise worked. Having fortunately survived their death sentence, and seeing what it could mean for him and his kinsmen if they returned to Akizibul, Kazagar fled and his loyal throng followed. Their wrongful betrayal by the council would take them on a treacherous journey to the south, heading for Sendil, the capital of the Anduvian Empire. Along the way the story of the Throng’s survival spread, and soon the families and kinsmen of the brave dwarves under his command flocked to join the host as they fled south. After a long march, eventually the host made it to Sendil, and it was there that Kazagar sought out an audience with Ralek. Ralek accepted Kazagar and his kin’s presence and it was there in the capital where Kazagar bent the knee to St. Ralek, The Blessed, Phalanx of Sendil, Toppler of the White Tower, and First King of Anduvia. Kazagar swore many oaths to Ralek, and in return for Kazagar’s pledge to service Ralek provided funds and other necessities to the dwarven army that now served him. An exchange that pleased all parties involved, or at the very least appeared to. Catching up with more recent times, Kazagar and his army have served the empire faithfully putting down revolts, incursions and accomplishing other tasks he’s given whether it be joining up with an imperial army for a campaign, or garrisoning a section of the empire. Recently however, Kazagar has been given much more autonomy and as such he has joined up with his fellow kinsmen of the Grudgeborn clan where the two parties drink, party, and fight off threats. LEADER / NOTABLE CHARACTERS: Kazagar, second of his name, once Thane of Akizibul, current Patriarch of Clan Oathbearer, now general of the Empire. Kazagar comes from a long line of dwarven thanes who once long ago helped expand and nurture Akizibul to its peak, and have in recent centuries watched it decline as they toiled to keep it afloat. The days of their once prospering realm are gone, and Kazagar is the first of his line to not serve the realm of Akizibul until his death. With the betrayal from the regency council and other lords of Akizibul fresh on his mind, Kazagar is one rather pissed off dwarf. MAP LOCATION (ONLY WITHIN OR NEAR TO ANDUVIA): File size too big, will send via discord. UNIQUE UNIT: Oath Breakers - After disgracing themselves in battle or disgracing and dishonoring their clan, these dwarves have chosen the honorable way to restore their status; through death will their shame be cleansed. Only then will they be allowed to rejoin the ancestors in great gilded halls. Wielding two handed axes and donning warpaint these runic blessed dwarves have nothing to lose and everything to gain from their death. Their runes of regeneration allow these warriors to stay in the fight longer and have a greater impact on the battlefield from not fatiguing near as quick as their kin. NATIONAL IDEA: Calling of the Clan - Can recruit units from a limited pool costing only currency. Start with a pool of 3 such units. Subtract 1 from the pool for every defeat, and add 2 for every victory. Values can scale at mod discretion to balance. POI: A set of finely crafted Mithril armor and weapons, engraved with ancestral runes. Each rune has been carved for every oath and grudge taken in the blood of the current patriarch of the clan.
  2. Kingdom of Albarias The first year of the third age. His fist met his desk swiftly, his mustache and fabulously groomed beard moved ever so slightly as he mouthed each word “Those bastards dare encroach upon my new Kingdom? Not even a year after it comes to fruition and they already dare to pillage and take what is not theirs?” Pnultimo stood silently while his King blew smoke from his ears. Watching as with every second the King grew hotter and hotter. “I will deal with these reclaimers.” Sebastián proclaimed standing up from his desk. “Penultimo we must ride. I entrust my wife to command the garrisons should they need it whilst she sits on the throne.” Pnultimo did his usual salute, but this time as he did, his Morion was tilted down a bit, covering the slightly shorter than average man’s eyes, which were a lovely shade of green. As Sebastián marched past him with a pat on the shoulder, his relic blade glowed ever so slightly with every step. To be completely honest, Sebastián wasn’t exactly sure Pnultimo was paying attention, but that was the usual. Besides, his trusted advisor and friend had never done anything to let him down in all their years together. As the pair made their way outside of the keep, the gallant Knights of the realm stood ready and waiting. As the pair mounted their own warhorses, the Caballeros followed. Those other soldiery with their king who had no horses began walking behind and so the retinue began their trek towards their guests… Actions: Sebastian takes a retinue of men to dispatch the relic reclaimers back to their homes before riding to the village to the south east and offering the people there security, safety, and a chance to join something bigger than themselves. (RP/MOD) Economic actions: Two units of light archers are called into service of the Kingdom. (5,000 C)
  3. Nation Name: Petty Kingdom of Albarias Nation Government/Leader Rank: The Kingdom of Albarias is an autocracy led by King Sebastián de Córuña. Description of National/Provincial History & Culture: Consisting of the towns Valençia and Córuña, and the smaller villages Málatoria, Codiz, Argos, Árón, and Tadolid, the Kingdom of Albarias was formed via marriage between the oldest son of the Córuña family and the oldest daughter of the Valençia family. The union has brought all of the Albarian region together, with the small villages falling in line after some light diplomacy. With the swearing of fealty to the new crown, the Albarian people were now united against the horrors of the badlands and its wastes. Having formed just recently and the petty kingdom being in its infancy, much is expected to come now that there is an organized and centralized body of governance. As for the history of their settlements, not much had happened in the Albarian region before the union of families, or rather nothing is remembered. Being so far separated from most civilizations, the people of the villages and towns simply have tried their best to live life up until this point. Notable Characters; [VERY Important to have flushed out RP for vassals, politicians, w.e your government type is. Due to small scale of nations, characters with RP and Lore behind them will have much more impactful actions, will get events, boons, etc: King Sebastian de Córuña - Oldest son of the Córuña family, Sebastián now sits as king of the Albarian people next to his wife Cristina de Valençia. Being a spry young man having only seen 20 winters, the village's great families seem a little weary, but are willing to put their faith into something rather than nothing. Sebastian has great plans however, and his goals are mutually shared by his wife. The wastes will be tamed and civilized for his people to grow and prosper. Cristina de Valençia - The oldest daughter of the Valençia family, and queen of Albarias, Cristina is said to be both brilliant and beautiful. The equally young woman is in the same boat as her beloved husband, with most of the village's great families putting faith into their rule, hoping it will take them out of the hellscape they’ve been banished to. Pnultimo Soria - Best friend of Sebastián and trusted advisor, the pair have been causing mischief since they were children. Now rather than helping one another pull pranks on old man Fernando, Pnultimo helps run the Kingdom, accomplishing any tasks his friend, and his king asks him to. Being “lowborn”, Pnultimo is not liked by the leading village families, but having the King's ear does make him somewhat respected. Not very smart but extremely loyal, Pnultimo is truly a great friend. (Heads of each village are to be made.) Unique Military Units (One): Albarian Caballeros (Heavy Cav)- Made up of men mostly from influential families but not uncommon to have a commoner in their ranks, the Caballeros are the King’s knights who’ve taken oaths of conquest in hopes of bringing honor and glory to their family, no matter how big or small, and as such they will only be freed of their oaths when they perish on the battlefield. National Idea: Albarian Levy - Every settlement whether Village/Town/City (preferably scaling with level of settlement) can provide light troops when called upon. (To be ironed out with you.) Player POI; Blade of Conquest - A relic longsword found at the bottom of the river, held onto by the Córuña family for some time now and being used to protect the town of Córuña on more than one occasion. The sword gives its user unparalleled martial ability. Currently the relic blade is wielded by the first king of Albaria, Sebastián de Córuña.
  4. Duchy of Castrillon With the markets imploding and Castrillon owning high value goods, the young lord Kalani decides to domp it. The warehouses of technology and shipyards with their services sell their goods to the galactic market bringing in record profits for Castrillon with no end in sight. It seems as soon as goods are produced they are loaded onto freighters and shipped to some far corner of the galaxy. In other news, the remainder of the fleet of Castrillon is making it's way back home, yet not completely withered and broken. The Lord Protector's new Flagship is set to be completed by the end of the year, where it will proudly replace The Retribution. This is not the only addition however, as the Castrillon marines captured an Irik dreadnought during one of the many spouts which will be repaired eventually as well. A fantastic year all in all.
  5. Duchy of Castrillon Shots streaked around the Retribution like streaks of light as the main gun fired once more. “Again!” Kalei demanded as his rail cannon cut another Irik ship in two. Before his next command could be given though, Sorin’s voice boomed in the bridge, taking the Lord Regent by surprise. As the words he spoke and sounds of explosions sunk in, it was clear what the transmission’s purpose was. A beam of light erupted from Hirak’s flagship shortly before the transmission ended and Sorin's mighty vessel went up in flame, crumbling into a million pieces of imperial handiwork. Kalei knew what was to come. He cut a glance to his communications team and nodded as they looked to him for direction. They knew what to do, and went fast to work sending out his final message to the psyker on Castrillon for his wife and son. His rail cannon rang out another shot, making yet another Irik vessel crumble before it’s might. That would be him shortly he thought to himself as he watched Hirak’s flagship move towards the Retribution’s position… He never thought he’d die before seeing Kuamai. He never even got to erect a statue in his father’s honor at the spot of his valiant last stand. Could he have been a better man? A better father and husband? Was there more he could have done for the cause that he so loved? Perhaps, but the true measure of a man is not only how he lived, but also how he died. “Redirect full power to the engines” he said calmly to his bridge crew. He knew it wouldn’t be enough, the Retribution was a behemoth of a vessel. It didn’t have that kind of speed, but it would give some sort of peace of mind to his sailors before their oncoming doom. A false sense of security. It was the very least he could do for them. At this point the communications team and psyker looked to Kalei from across the bridge and gave a thumbs up signaling the message had been sent. This brought a smile to the doomed man’s face. Hirak was now over them. Their time had come. The massive glassing beam could be heard and seen spooling up a charge above them. This was it for Kalei Folau, Lord Regent of the mandate. As the Retribution attempted it’s escape from the weapon's range, a bright beam of light cracked the noble flaghip's once hard shell. The vessel proceeded to be blown to pieces by the glassing cannon of the Resplendent Devotion. As the message is received on Castrillon there is no time for mourning or weeping, as the 17 year old Kalani is rushed to the main hall for a quick coronation ceremony as instructed by Kalei. Kalani Folau is crowned as Duke and lord protector of Castrillon and it’s space within two hours of his father’s death, securing his rule and cementing his position. One thing is clear however, there will be retribution and vengeance to come as a fire is lit deep in the last child of the Folau line. Actions: Rakena is paid for the creation of Castrillon’s new flagship, and the materials necessary are fronted for it’s construction. (350k C, 10 A, 10 T, 20 M)
  6. Duchy of Castrillon As the members of the Hui Ariki evacuated Alamar and headed for the safety of their home worlds or some far off planet, the Lord Regent had other plans. To the dismay of many of his advisors and entourage, Kalei opted to take command of his fleet before rendezvousing with the massing Imperial battle fleet. From the bridge of his heavily armored flagship the Retribution, Kalei and the other lords and admirals draw up plans and calculate their odds. Although there have been better situations one may find themselves in, Kalei stands ready to lose it all and then some if there is even a chance for a safer and more stable galaxy. Actions: Four light cruisers are constructed in the shipyards. (80 NP, 120,000 C)
  7. Duchy of Castrillon As another year rolls around, production and employment rates go back to normal. An odd year 10,424 was. Hopefully another one like it does not happen for a long, long time. For the Duchy of Castrillon, the repairing of the Lord Regent’s flagship takes paramount importance. The massive hulking flagship rolls into port, and the crew disembarks as the mighty vessel receives the tender love and care it has desperately needed for the past two years. Despite the losses encumbered at the Labyrinth, Kalei appeared rather pleased to know the Irik couldn’t stand a chance against the massed imperial fleet. There truly was a fighting chance. Tireless days and nights are spent to ensure the Mandate’s newly collected tax is spent efficiently. Other than the repairing of the Retribution however, for the Duchy of Castrillon, nothing spectacular occurs. Kalei continues to politick amongst his old and newly added peers, and continues his tireless work to build a better future for his family. Actions: Flagship repairs - (14 NP, 10,500 C)
  8. Duchy of Castrillon With the losses at the Labyrinth, Kalei looks to replenish his cruiser count by twofold in the next five years. This will no doubt be a strenuous task, but one he is looking forward to taking on. Other than ship construction, the continued battling of Irik forces is all that remains left to do for some time. Admiral Keanu's report indicates that a majority of the Irik fleet was dealt with yet a sizeable portion still escaped. Regardless the enemy at the gates were defeated and Castrillon is safe again, for now. Actions: 4 Light Cruisers. (120,000 C, 80 NP, 24M)
  9. Duchy of Castrillon As the reports of victory rolled in, Kalei couldn’t help but smile. The nitwit Eteroa would regret the day he denied the generous offer extended to him. They told him he would need at least a legion’s worth of men to take the Labyrinth, yet Castrillon’s finest took the facility with nothing more than their pods and their bravery. This came at a cost of course, his uncle’s fleet was all but decimated. This was a sacrifice he was willing to take however. Now his uncle could return to watching for Erasmis with the remains of his fleet, and he and his cousin could continue to rattle Eteroa’s cage further. The rat would be dead within the next year or so no doubt. As he scrolled through the after action combat reports of every ship under his command, something interesting crossed the lord regent’s eyes. A particular rear admiral by the name of Steiner helped win the day, or so a majority of the reports seem to indicate. The Lord Regent has made a note to bring up the rear admiral’s name at the next Hui Ariki for a knighthood and promotion if viable. A true hero of the Empire. Nonetheless there is still work to be done, and the pact will need ships to accomplish said work. Eight new cruisers are set to join the fleet next year, along with 50 troop transports. There will not be another year like this in quite some time, so the Lord Regent basks in its glory while he has it. Actions: 5 units of transports. (12,500 C, 5 M) 3 Light Cruisers. (90,000 C, 60 NP, 18M) 5 Armored Cruisers (250,000, 125 NP, 45 M, 10 A, 10 T)
  10. Duchy of Castrillon Freighters seem to be seen more frequently than usual, all carrying imported and exported goods. Castrillon in particular has been buzzing with business as fuel imports have been all the rage. Although nothing important has been announced or proclaimed, something surely is afoot. Other than increased imports, nothing appears to be out of the normal as another two light cruiser designs are constructed and added to the Lord Regent’s fleet. Perhaps next year something of greater note will have taken place. Actions: The shipyards produce two more light cruisers, yet again. (60,000 C, 40 NP, 12 M)
  11. Duchy of Castrillon 10,420, House Folau's Palace, Castrillon. Kalei strode down the hallway of his palace on Castrillon with his son’s hand in his. As the pair walked together Kalei’s boots combined with the pitter patter of Kalani’s, made a beautiful resounding sound that notified the guards ahead of them that they were on approach, and they should indeed open the door for the room ahead of them. “We’re going to miss it father!” Kalani’s developing voice said to Kalei. "Is mother going to be joining us??" Kalei chuckled at this statement and looked down at his child while the two kept stride. “Yes your mother will be joining us." Kalei said with smile still on his face. "And you always say that, yet when we get there, we’re early. Patience boy. We’ll get to see it like always. “ The energy of Kalani could be felt by his father and they walked on. Upon approach of the observatory, the echoes in the hallways had fulfilled their purpose as the entrance was already open. The two palace guards who were snapped to attention holding the masterfully crafted doors. This was a normal occurrence whenever an event like today's was happening, and as such the guards knew that the excited young man would be coming through again like he always did. As Kalani rushed through the doorway, he noticed his mother already in one of the three seats, to which the vigorous child jumped into the second seat available. Kalei followed suit by taking the third seat next to his son, only after planting a kiss on his wife Leilani's cheek. There the three sat, waiting in anticipation as they looked on trying to find the Valor class assault carriers high in orbit. After not much waiting, it began. From the clouds broke dozens of pods barreling from orbit like meteors. The observatory was, essentially a massive glass viewing room as the name implied, and the trio got to witness Castrillon’s finest conducting a long integrated training exercise. As the pods landed, shock troops exploded from them and continued on with their training exercise by performing the standard procedures of a combat drop. Kalei was able to peer down at his son who was so encapsulated at the sight, trying to absorb it all into his young mind. In the back of Kalei's own mind however, the duties of being Lord Regent poked and prodded for him to return to his office and get back to work. Yet for just a little, Kalei sat and enjoyed the fine spectacle with two of his most favorite people in the whole galaxy. Sheet Screenshot Actions: The shipyards produce two more light cruisers for the cause. With the nation's budgetting finally falling into place, there is not much else activity following these lone constructions. Perhaps next year shall be more eventful. (60,000 C, 40 NP, 12 M)
  12. The Duchy of Castrillon A brief description of National/Provincial History & Culture: Originally what is now the Duchy of Castrillon was traitor space during the civil war. It wasn’t till after the conflict that Castrillon rose to prominence. Mostly consisting of industrial worlds and key tech worlds, the area of space was considered of high value by House Dryden, and when the opportunity to seize it arose, Albert Dryden son of the great Severus, and his nephew Kalei jumped at the occasion. The two reclaimed the systems rather easily to their surprise. Yet when all was said and done, rather than holding onto the space for House Dryden, Albert uplifted his beloved nephew to Ducal status, and granted him the surname of Folau after Kalei’s father. This effectively created House Folau, which now watches vigilantly over what is now the Duchy of Castrillon. The Duchy is named after the military planet of Castrillon, which sits as Kalei’s new de jure capital of the area. From his capital, Kalei follows the lead of his uncle and lesser cousins, implementing aristocratic policy and adapting them as needed. In recent years things have prospered with the lack of attacks and other ventures from those who’d do harm to the newly created Duchy, and thus the doors to many more opportunities have swung open. If one thing is certain, it is that Kalei is fully intent on supporting his familiar ties, and committed to founding a new Empire. Notable Characters: Kalei Folau - Son of the great lord Folau, now Duke of Castrillon. After his father’s death on Kaumai during the invasion, Kalei stayed with his uncle Albert where the two started a lovely friendship. This friendship is now an unbreakable bond, and Albert is now seen as more of a father figure due to his original father figure being ripped away from him at an important time in his life. Kalei is a rather impressive specimen of a human, no doubt thanks to his good stock. Undoubtedly his uncle made a wise decision to take Kalei under his wing. Leilani Folau - Wife to Kalei for a decade now, Leilani and Kalei married in their early twenties after finding one another at a family function….the two then had their beloved son Kalani and ever since then they’d been the happy little family. Leilani is a Teniert by blood, but that seemed not to bother the two whatsoever. Kalani Folau - Son of Kalei and Leilani, Kalani is the one and only heir of the new house. Currently at the ripe young age of 10, the young man has much to learn from his father and other family. Also a handsome young gentleman like his father, there’s no doubt he will do great things with his life. Unique Military Units (Two): Valor Class Assault Ship - A larger assault ship capable of ship to ship boarding actions, and orbit to ground deployment of Castrillon Shock Troops. These vessels are heftier than their standard counterpart, and as such move slower, in turn they are capable of holding more pods to deploy a greater number of troops. It is not uncommon to see many, many of these ships in orbit conducting training exercises. Castrillon Shock Troops - Heavy infantry used in ship to ship boarding action, as well as orbit to ground assault actions. These men are, of course, the best that the Castrillon war world’s have to offer. Undergoing rigorous training regimes to prepare themselves for their drops feet first into hell and beyond. These units are known for their exceptionally high casualties along with their extremely high operational success rate. These units are not always found on the battlefield though, as they can be stationed on more ceremonial duties such as protecting the noble family, and other high ranking individuals. National Idea (nothing strictly mechanical): To be determined. A letter: N
  13. Western Diachian Empire “Failure is only the opportunity to begin again..” Construction workers work tirelessly in many imperial cities to clear zones for new buildings and industries. Some of the worksites have been given the authorization to skip safety protocols for expedited results on their given project. Progress waits for no one. In the docks of the capital, reluctantly some foreign trade ships come into port bringing much needed resources to the nation. The foreigners are treated with much skepticism, and aren’t really let out of the dock area. Any caught outside of the dock area with improper paperwork are sent straight back. A relaxed punishment compared to what some others get. Despite this somewhat hostile attitude that is shown to the outsiders, they are treated with a certain level of respect and their resources are wheeled off to serve a greater purpose. Much like in the east, the Drakers in the sacred forests are rounded up and brought to official ports where they must purchase a hunting license and will follow specific protocol on how to handle the beast hunting. Any caught breaking these rules and regulations will be met with brutal punishment. The Dragon Palace is relatively quiet this year, with Takeya being consumed by his works to keep the nation afloat. Actions 5 Material is brought off the global market. 3 Material industry buildings are built. (22,500 C, 3 M) A logistics district is constructed. (10,000 C, 1 M) Military industry is built. (5,000 C, 1 M) A civilian expedition is sent to the POI between Western and Eastern Diachi, at the start of the river Asahi. Another two parties set out, but they are military expeditions rather than civilian. One heads to the mountain POI in the west, and the other to the lake that starts the unnamed river in the west. The drakers crossing into western Diachian lands are told to report to any official port to purchase a hunting license where they will be told the rules and regulation of hunting the near extinct sky beasts. The Emperor seems intent on letting these beasts live in the sacred forests, but the purging of troubled and aggressive ones is a must. To complement the Draker efforts, Imperial vessels are also out and about looking to hunt any aggressive and troublesome creatures. Any caught breaking defying this order will be punished and brought before the Emperor. (Discord) The Engineering department has begun developing a new project. (Research, Discord.)
  14. Discord Username: You have it. Nation Name: Western Diachian Empire National Symbol (Flag, etcetera): None created yet. Culture: The Daichian peoples populate two separate realms. Daichians typically are pale to white skinned, with darker hair and eye coloring. Though they tend to be on the small side in stature and build, this is not always the case. These people are as zealous and as fevered as it gets, making excellent soldiers. The Daichian's are no strangers to hardship and have been tempered by centuries of conflict and warfare. Despite hard lives, the people have a reputation of living incredible amounts of time, much longer than an average person. Honor and bringing further prestige to one's family is all an average Diachian can hope to accomplish in their lifetime. The people under Emperor Takeya have developed a rather industrious lifestyle over his short rule, and a great sense of national pride has taken control of the populace as of late. Perhaps just the new generation trying to be different. History: Takahashi Katsumore, son of the great Sagara-Moto Katsumore was supposed to be Emperor after his father passed. As the story goes though, his selfish brother could not accept Takahashi as his new Emperor and as such, he seceded from the Empire. Civil war ensued as Takahashi tried to reign in his rebellious brother, yet to no avail. His mission to preserve the Empire ended in an agreed upon duel with his brother. Each had their Daimyo in attendance to witness the outcome and certify the results. This personal combat however left both claimants dead and forced the Daimyo to retreat to secure Emperor Takahashi’s throne for his son, Takeya. Thanks to the Daimyo’s fierce loyalty to Takahashi and their faith in his successor Takeya, the transition of power was swift and efficient. The great schism of the Daichi clans left the people divided into two realms. One under the descendant of Takahashi Katsumore, and the other under the descendant of Takahashi’s brother, Inouye. The sons of these great claimants rose to the throne after their father's duel ended in their deaths. Takeya Katsumore is the son of Takahashi Katsumore, rightful emperor of the Diachi Empire and her clans. The young emperor has shown no intention to continue the conflict with his eastern cousin, yet if provoked he will do so with willing and open arms. Instead of focusing on continuing the great civil war, Takeya has used his time differently. Takeya has undergone a series of reforms both militarily, economically, and socially. The Emperor has centralized the government more than ever before, allowing for greater oversight of his glorious nation. The past bindings on the populace have been lifted allowing for greater upward mobility, yet there are still distinct social classes that one may find himself risen out of or demoted to. At the end of the day though, the Emperor still reigns with an iron fist, and his word is law. All will bow before his majesty's grasp inevitably. Unique Military Units (Max 3): Imperial Infantry (Infantry Replacement) - The Emperor’s infantry are some of the fiercest warriors trained in their portion of the world, and equipped with the best equipment possible. On record during the civil war, masses of brave imperial infantry charged their enemy and engaged in brutal melee combat earning these men a hardfought reputation. Akio Fighter- A fast and well moving fighter with reliable weaponry and impressive range. The Akio is truly ahead of its time, and it’s all thanks to the Diachian Engineers that worked tirelessly on the model during and even after the civil war. Constant developments are being made on the Akio with a potential Mk2 on the way if rumors are true. Hundreds of Akio class fighters were flown during the civil war in the name of the rightful Emperor Takahashi Katsumore. Yoshida Class Deadnaught- A huge shipwith heavy armaments, perfect for engaging other capital ships from a distance. Capitalizing on technological developments of the time, the Yoshida is a relatively new creation, and is yet to see any actual engagements. However, in theory the Yoshida is an apex predator that is going to be unleashed eventually. Point of Interest: Emperor’s Dragon Palace - Located in the capital city of the Western Diachian Empire, the Emperor’s palace is where the people’s leader lays his head at night. Highly fortified and extremely beautiful, the palace is a bastion in the bustling capital city of Miyotari. National Traits: Army Focus Industrial Giant Isolationist Luxuries Massed Warfare Swarms Heavy Industry National Idea: Expert Shipwrights The Diachian’s under Takeya katsumore have learned to control resource consumption when it comes to shipbuilding, resulting in ships being produced with less strain on the stores. (Undetermined amount of NP reduction for ships) Map Location: Says file too large.
  15. Königreich Arktis-Münzenberg For love of King, and country. The crossing was a loss, although a minor battle, it was still humiliating. Heinrich von Kimmler and his junior officers fled and raced to inform the king of the defeat, expecting another command post, yet they are shocked when they are imprisoned. The trial is fair and swift, leading to the group of men being taken to the gallows for all to see. They are marched through the streets of the capital and berated for their failures and cowardice. Mothers slap and spit on the men. Father's break through the lines of guards to deliver heavy handed blows. These officers had failed their subordinates and now would pay with their lives. Once on the gallows, they are given a chance to speak any last words. Some begged and pleaded, others stared at the collapsible boards beneath their feet, but Kimmler, Kimmler wept louder than them all. He wept and wept, hollering for forgiveness and mercy. Reinhardt blankly stared at the man as he cried like an infant, drew his sword, and then cut the rope which in turn allowed the boards under their feet to retract. A sense of relief was granted to the King as their faces turned blue and life escaped their bodies. The crowds cheered. Although this would not bring back the men lost, it placated the masses. With the loss at the crossing, the remnants of 1st Arktisian Korp are absorbed into the 1st Munzenberg Korp along with incoming reinforcements intended for the Arktisians. The disgrace done to the Kingdom will be reversed by Dieter Hartmann, beloved Marshall of the Empire. The recently raised Freikorp rendezvous with Marshall Dieter. The Marshall is told to rip and tear until all is done. With more men flocking to his command he seems prepared to deliver a decisive blow to the enemy. An eye for an eye. The rules of honor are out of the window, and every last man captured shall be executed out of retaliation. Actions: Work on a faster communications system continues. The King’s engineers continue to tinker away on devices that they conjure up, the occasional explosion is heard but usually nobody winds up harmed. [Research] 10,000 Medium infantry are recruited and trained. (20 AP, 20 S, and 12,500 C) 5 heavy howitzers are crafted in the foundries. (5 AP, 3 S, 8250) The 1st Korp gathers strength and reorganizes the remnants of the Arktisian Korp, linking up with the Metternichische Freikorp just raised. Marshall Dieter prepares the men to meet Iurd in the field near Knittelfurt. The nation calls. (Discord)
  16. Königreich Arktis-Münzenberg For love of King, and country. Reinhardt trotted up and down the lines of his magnificent Munzenbergian Korps that once sat camped near the capital. The soldiers stood tall and proud in their sleek black and gold dotted uniforms. Most were young men, but still there were thousands of grizzled elite troops amongst the fresh faces. His stomach churned and did flips yet he persevered. King Reinhardt still spoke with great zeal and authority as he had practiced to his wife in their chambers. “Your nation calls!” Reinhardt shouted to them. His eyes met with multiple officers who did the same in turn. Reinhardt could see their fear. The potential for death was not something that should be taken lighty. He could not blame them. “Kempennen’s brutalized hordes have lost thousands of men, and dozens of cannons. They are stretched thin and with fights on many fronts, we can turn the tide and restore honor to Artkis whilst stomping down a great menace." His soldiers looked nervous. He knew what he was doing. They knew it too. Thousands of them would die if a wrong move was made, yet he reigned in his horse at the center of the formations, and drew his sword. Raising it to the sky he shouted once more. “Forward into the fray! Do not count days! Do not count miles! Count only the amount of dogs you've slain in the name of your King, and in the name of your country!" The massive amount of men no doubt did not hear the entire speech for that is ridiculous and impossible, yet when a Krieg chant began on one part of the lines, it spread like wildfire. The officers set the men in motion and the thudding of the ground from thousands of footsteps could be heard from across the river no doubt. So it begins. Actions: Locomotives finishing up. [Research] Work on a faster communications system begins. [Research] Iurds ambassadors get no response. Clearly something is afoot. The Korps are mobilized. Kempennen is denounced, and Reinhardt declares war aligning himself with the coalition. The time for action has come. (Discord) 10,000 Munzenbergian “Regulars” are called to serve their King. (3,500 C, 10 AP) 15 Medium howitzers (12,750 C, 12 AP, 6 S) 500 dragoons (2250 C, 3 AP, 2 S) With the war declaration comes the decision to raise a Freikorp. The name being donned is the Metternich Freikorp. Reinhardt after much contemplation has decided that command of this free corp will go to Leopold von Kottman, a promising military officer who had caught the attention of his superiors. In order to prove his worth, he will lead this Friekorp in the coming battles with Kempennen.
  17. Königreich Arktis-Münzenberg For love of King, and country. With the powder keg of the Broken coast going off, it is of utmost importance to protect the Kingdom, and to deter any who would try to do harm to it. Another star fortress is being constructed on the Munzenberg side of the bridge with Iurd. Reinhardt is taking no chances in the game called trust. Those laborers and engineers are put back to work once more, and paid rather handsomely for their efforts in fact. Stones, mortar, and other necessary building materials are hauled off from stockpiles and brought to this location. From across the bridge, surely the Iurd fortress is aware of the activities happening on the other side. Regardless, the King required another defensive structure, and those workers have answered the calling every time. For love of King, and country. The foundries on the other hand make short work of the order that is given to them this season. Workers come into the foundry clean and ready to work, but leave tired and covered in soot. Without them, truly there would be no organized army production, and for their hard work Reinhardt formally recognizes their efforts by sending gifts of food, medication, and other trinkets to their families. More cannons rolled out of the workshops, along with another divisions' worth of muskets and infantry equipment. Once more, another queue is put into place for next season, and much like the last few, it is large. Actions: 20 light cannons roll out of the foundries. (15 AP, 13750 C, 5 S) 5,000 Medium line infantry join the 2nd Munzenbergian Korp after their training is complete. (10 Ap, 6250 C, 10 S) A star fort is constructed. (8 M, 15,000C.) Patrols all along the borders intensified, more so on the Westmark border though. Any clergymen are caught and sent back to Westmark. The normal ask, tell, make policy is put into place. Any unwanted forces entering the Kingdom are asked to turn back, and then told to turn back, before being made to turn back. Religious extremism will not be tolerated by the King and Queen. Artkis-Munzenberg has made its public stance clear with erupting tensions all around, the Kingdom will stay neutral for the time being, and foreseeable future, unless provoked. With locamotives research being complete, resources are now shifted towards a faster communications system (Telegram).
  18. Königreich Arktis-Münzenberg For love of King, and country. As the mausoleum entombed Klaus-Wilhelm III, the late Queen of Arktis gave a gut wrenching eulogy to which even the toughest of soldiers would have even shed a tear. None could escape a wet eye. After she had wrapped up, all looked towards Reinhardt as he paid his respects to the great man’s tomb. Kneeling beside it, he bowed his head slightly before turning to the widow and her children. To each he hugged and gave his sympathies before leaving the event. With the death of his father in law, Reinhardt was somewhat devastated seeing as he had just gained another father figure in his life only for him to be stripped away. He spends time with the daughters and wife Klaus left behind, ensuring their safety and status remains firm. Nothing shall happen to them as long as he draws breath. Come a week after his death he receives an envoy from the parliament of Arkits, offering the crown of old King Klaus to Reinhardt. At first there was reluctance in his voice as he spoke to his wife on the matter, but after some back and forth with Kristina, Reinhardt accepts the crown of Arktis. The foundries, much like last season, continue to roll out equipment for soldiers. The inheritance of the late King Klaus-Wilhelm’s army will greatly complement Münzenbergs current forces, but still it is not enough. More barrels are rifled, and cannons casted. The nation calls, and it is our duty to answer. Dieter is tasked with bringing the Arktisian armies into the fold, getting full troop numbers, their movements, and everything else in between. Actions: Reinhardt accepts the crown of Arktis, swearing to bear their burdens as his own. Order, peace, and prosperity will continue to reign so long as Reinhardt II von Hausser still draws breath. Work immediately begins to incorporate Artkis’ holdings. [Research] Locomotives to be completed in spring of 3251. Gunpowder mill construction. (3000 C, 1 M) Another town comes to life. (2,500 C + 1 M) Two more foundries. (11000 C + 4 M) 15 more medium cannons. (12,000 C, 12 AP, 6 S) Envoys are dispatched to Kempennon. (Discord)
  19. Königreich Münzenberg For love of King, and country. Within the season of the alliance proposal, Reinhardt extended his hand in marriage as a sign of good faith, and the rest is history. Wedding bells tolled when Reinhardt and Kristina first met. Her family could see it, and most in eyeshot when the two were together could as well. A match made in heaven some say. The two houses of von Holle and von Häusser are to be joined. From the crowded streets of the capital, to the small typically quiet farmsteads, people rejoice and raise a glass in the name of their King, and new Queen. Despite this happy news, the needs of the nation must be heard, and she calls. The foundries begin churning steel into infantry equipment, cannons, and other weapons of war and destruction. The foundry workers work day and night to make sure the quotas are met knowing that the faster they get done, the longer rest in-between seasons they'll have. From the looks of it there is going to be a study flow of work for them. For many seasons there will be muskets to make, uniforms to dye, and barrels to rifle. The powder keg is surely to have been lit, for there’s something bigger going on. Yet the smoke rising from stacks and the clanging coming from their large buildings is still drowned out by cheers of the new engagement for beloved King. Actions: Research! The locomotives being made in Westerveld have inspired the engineers of Munzenberg to begin their own work on some as well! 5,000 medium line infantry are recruited. (6250 C, 10 S, 10 AP.) Another foundry is made. (5,500 C + 2 M) Yet another fortress. (5,000 C + 4 M)
  20. Königreich Münzenberg For love of King, and country. As troops continue to move about and do their duty, they catch an envoy on the way to the capital. He is promptly escorted by a detachment of soldiers until his message reaches the royal palace itself. Once there he identifies himself as an envoy from Arkis from the King. Reinhardt is taken aback by this development, and even further shook when the envoy reveals the reason for his trip. Without a thought or hesitation, Reinhardt accepts their offer, one of the main drivers in this choice being the potential of marriage, which would bind the two houses and further unify the region. Afterall it was a dangerous world, and even the smallest of allies could prove to be the greatest of friends. Their envoy is told to bring this message back to his king. The year unfolds, and national security is the primary focus at the moment. As such more resources and currency are being dished out to ensure that not just anyone can barge into Münzenberg and do harm. The fortress to the south is renovated, while a new team of engineers, masons and laborers are employed to construct yet another fortress, they are told if the work is sufficient they’ll have another job next season as well. New settlements are sprouting and by God they would be protected from the evils outsiders wish upon them. No expense is spared. The rest of the season sits quiet, with not much else happening. The foundries are told to prepare themselves for the work orders that are to come. Actions: The envoy is sent back to Artkis, Reinhardt II graciously accepts such an offer, and in turn the young king presents his hand in marriage. Hopefully something comes of this. The Fortress in the south is having renovations done shortly after it’s construction, making the province even more fortified. (4M, 9,000 C) Yet another fortress is constructed. (4M, 5,000 C) Two more towns spring to life, a product of rapid growth and prosperity within the nation. (2M, 5,000 C).
  21. Königreich Münzenberg For love of King, and country. From the balcony of the royal palace in Münzen, Reinhardt watched as his soldiers marched by in perfect order, saluting him as they passed and continuing on through the city. Their drill work was to say the least, impeccable. No movement was wasted. Not one step out of place. Something truly magnificent to witness and pleasant for the eyes to behold. The people lined the streets, waving flags and cheering for their heroes and protectors. The sons of Münzenberg were heading off to pacify whatever cesspool of degeneracy the King deemed conquerable and a threat. After some time, one by one the regiments partaking in the parade exited the city and marched to their new duty stations somewhere within the Kingdom’s borders. By rumor and speculation of the people, most were heading for the northern border. After the last regimental standards left the city, Reinhardt left the balcony to return to his royal duties, content with his assembly of such a spectacle. Behind him followed a rather large aging man as he walked. Adorned in a military officer's uniform, the sleek black and gold colors of Münzenberg fit him well. His medals, decorations, and sword clanked as he walked behind his King. The two made small talk as they walked through hallways talking about weather and whatnot, eventually coming to a set of doors guarded by two soldiers. The soldiers snapped to attention and opened the doors, revealing a smaller statured man standing facing the door at a large table. On the table lay a layout of the known region, with little intricately made landscapes and miniature models. Documents lined the edges of the table so as to not get in the way of the miniatures. The smaller goyim statured man looked up from a document he was holding and smiled a toothy smile to the King and the military man, laying down the document on the table. “I see you’ve brought the brute!” he says very nasally. Reinhardt was not amused by this comment and he let out a sigh. “Yes. I have brought Dieter, Heinrich. Now please show us what you’ve come up with.” The larger man stared coldly at the gentile, his attempt to berate him had not even penetrated his thoughts. Instead of escalating the conflict he simply followed Reinhardt to the table and examined everything that lay in front of him. The trio stood wordless for some time concentrating on the documents and models before them. Silence was broken when Reinhardt stepped off towards a large window overlooking some city streets. His boots made a particular sound as they hit the floor, each step different but sounding similar to the last. Outside of the window and in plain view were some children throwing stones at each other, obviously playing war. Who knew what the kids were calling it these days. Fond memories and a serotonin rush hit him as he watched the two sides pelt each other.. “Have everything finalized financially, Heinrich. Not one thing out of place.” He then looked over his shoulder to witness the man nod and gather some of the documents before hauling for the door. Dieter stood a little straighter now that they were alone. Reinhardt turned away from the children and their games. He now looked at Dieter. The aging man had an aurora of pride about him. Most people did in this part of the world, but his was stronger than most. “I require you to make the military arrangements Dieter. Please do not start disappointing me now. You’ve been my greatest friend so far, and for that I thank you.” The large man let out a surprisingly graceful bow. “Thank you, your grace. Your kindness is appreciated by this old soldier.” Reinhardt could do nothing more than cut him a smile as he too collected documents, about-faced, and strode out of the room. With his plans set in motion, the serotonin rush left him. A migraine soon overtook him, and for the rest of the day the King retired to his quarters, trying to spend the rest of his waking hours working on other reform ideas. Actions: Troops now scramble about to their clandestine locations, for the majority of them their duties will be what an average soldier can expect. Yet there will be a select few with very specific and special objectives. Masons, laborers and engineers all move to the southern foothills in the south in-between the mountain and the sea (f11), their intent being to build a fortress preventing any unwanted movement in the south. (4 M, 5000 C) Five manufactories are constructed. (5 M, 10,000 C)
  22. Discord: You have it. Nation Name: Kingdom of Münzenberg / Königreich Münzenberg Flag: Culture: The people of Münzenberg are described as Militaristic, aggressive, and stoic by most outsiders who travel through their lands and take a simple glance. Through corrected lenses though, the people themselves are hardworking and diligent folk who do what is required of them without ever having to be asked twice. Nationalism and love of king and country is what really drives them forward. Thanks to Sebastian the Unifier, unlike your typical monarchy, his reforms many, many years ago have lessened the tensions between noble and regular citizens. History: For many years the people of Münzenberg were little more than a petty kingdom, feuding with their neighbors over insignificant matters. Like the other surrounding kingdoms and nation states, they contributed to the world nothing more than death and bloodshed. It wasn’t until König Sebastian I, 7th King of Münzenberg took to the throne that times would change drastically. Although his predecessors were extremely conservative and crude, Sebastian was quite the opposite in most regards. To kick off his reign, a wave of social reforms hit the people of Münzenberg, mostly doing things that would allow upward mobility in society. After these successful acts were put into place, more were soon to follow. One set of reforms after another continued to strengthen the Kingdoms position over time and eventually the military might and economic power Sebastian had mustered was truly terrifying. Instead of resorting to violence first and completely wiping out his neighbors like the König's of the past would've tried, he opened dialog with them and diplomatically managed to bring most to the negotiating table. The others who were in Sebastian's grasp and refused to come and break bread were dealt with swiftly and decisively, proving to their neighbors that there were no more games being played. Those who came to the table were met with happy acceptance, compromises were made and their integration came peacefully and over time in the end with all swearing fealty to Sebastian. Naturally some nations were so far from Münzenberg that they were left untouched and unscathed, continuing to govern themselves. Sebastian had managed to do what no other could, and was bestowed the name of Sebastian the Unifier. For the rest of his life, he toiled away in the royal palace trying to make his portion of the world a better place for those who inhabited his borders. Although he has long since returned to dust, his legacy still stands with many statues made in his honor. Reinhardt II, is the Unifiers great grandson who has just ascended to the throne after his father's passing. Left to him is a realm worth ruling, and an army worth leading thanks to his father's diligent work. Many whisper that Reinhardt is an equal to his great grandfather, and many more whisper that he will surpass his legacy. Yet these things are to be seen, for Reinhardt is still learning and absorbing the knowledge that is being given to him. With enemies on all sides, the future, although bright, is unknown. Characters (Up to 3): Reinhardt II, recently ascended Königof Münzenberg. Grandson of Sebastian the Unifier. Just 21 years of age, the man has been tutored by the best money and power can bring. He is what most will call inexperienced yet willing and yearning to learn. Heinrich Scholz, trusted economic and social advisor to Reinhardt. A man with a heart of gold and sheckler fiscal abilities. None better qualified to help rule the Kingdom. Shorter in stature, not what one would call an impressive specimen but what he lacks physically he makes up for mentally. Dieter Hartmann, trusted military advisor to the King. A rather large gentleman, signs of old age catching up linger on his face. A veteran of timeless Münzenbergian campaigns against the crown’s enemies, with his age he brings much valued experience to Reinhardts side. Location (Pick 3 Provinces): E28, F11, F12. Unique Units: Münzenbergian Rangers, typically recruited from farmsteads and the frontier areas, these men tend to be extremely skilled huntsmen and survivalists. Whether it be scouting the enemy's encampment or outmaneuvering enemy units in the field, these men are some of the best that could be found and equipped. (Light Infantry Unique.) Münzenbergian Gatling, a field weapon with 12 barrels, capable of firing off projectiles at a very high rate of fire. The weapon is a testament to Münzenbergian engineering, even with it’s somewhat subtle flaws. (Field weapon?)
