  1. Personally I would of rather the hub travel system with the CT CD. As well as the road to the Iron Horde is kinda poor and zig-zags alot (excluding the portion which i made, no offense to laeo, appreciate your help in setting up the map though). Not to mention that there appears to be an abandoned desert hub that someone planned but didnt implemented. As a well ways out from the Horde there's a random structure with no RG with a emerald ss pillar.

The Blood Faith which governs my own Clan demands constant action, allowing us to always rise to the challenge when present. While the Goi I control does not all follow my creed, this message is hozh indeed. We cannot stand to have absent and weak Goths who would do nothing for our people. Action must be constant and their presence must be felt. Or else, the Goi might simply be better without them, perhaps. Regardless, I have seen fit to remove Xiuhcihuapilli'Ixtzûl, or by her better known as Kuvirr, Kub-ob Rex Ar-Borok, the  Wargoth of Clan Ixtzul from her position of Targoth of the Iron Horde. She has served well, but stagnation cannot be tolerated, especially in our times. Likewise, her Krughai reforms have been commendable. However, since our colonization of the continent of Aevos, she has been dreadfully absent from our prosperous city.

It is the right of the Klamor, and for Xiuhcihuapilli'Ixtzûl herself to challenge my judgement via our ways of tradition, stretching to the lands-ob old, when Krug still led my people as the Rex-ob all Urukhim. That being, the fist. Though, even if successful, renewed action to keep the Krughai alive and well must be taken for the position of Targoth to be kept. Though, in the spirit of Klamor law, the former Targoth must give up the position or her role as Wargoth, to not stack the Ashtkaar in one individual’s favour, much like how I allowed my Kukaaldom to be taken by another Akaal. In the mean, I will assume the role of Targoth of the Iron Horde directly, as I carry out my own will, in reforming the Keshig soon enough. Too long has the Rexdom been without their Keshig. Again, in our traditions, any Uruk who wishes to claim the role may come forth to me, proclaim their worth, and face me in the pits to show their tenacity.  I have spoken, and this is my will, let it remain unchallenged.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Animatii

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Animatii (Which, to my best knowledge, is a lore-only term) is an Alchemical Practice that can be learned at T3 Alchemy. Essentially, it is the practice of creating “robotic” (purely for lack of better words) creations or general tinkering applications that can be invented for non-combative purposes. Usually carrying a clockwork/steampunky aesthetic. Most of the substance of Animatii lies in Automata, of which there are many tiers of them. These tiers are not to be confused with tiers from magic lore and should be more thought of as “complexity” instead of power. Automaton all rely on Lifeblood, which is an alchemy substance that flows through the piping of creations, typically being pumped by a Gear-Heart, should the Automaton need one for its complexity and size. Gear-Hearts are creations that consist of a Diamond (or Graphite) surrounded by clockwork (some treated with Redstone). This device gives the creation life and helps pump the lifeblood. It is important to note that Lifeblood cannot clot, and Automaton will cease to function if their piping is sufficiently damaged, thus bleeding out eventually.

Elaborating on tiers, Tier 1 consists of Prosthetics, Eyes, Arms, and Legs, which it is important to note are not really upgrades if received. Tier 2 is smaller creatures, or small creations that can perform very simple tasks, but are not useful for combat. Tier 3 can be larger creatures, which can be used for combat, up to the size of a Golden Retriever. Tier 4 refers to classic non-played Automata, humanoid in appearance, largely NPCs, ex. Robo-Butlers also include Clockwork Mounts and must follow all Mount and Combat rules. Tier 5 are playable Automata, and Machine Spirits, the former being a construct race, and the latter is when a Soul is transferred into a Mechanical Body. These are both the most complex of Animatii creations and are built with several components, including an obedience module which can make an Animatii bound to one’s or another’s will) and a gear heart. While normal Automata usually can be up to Uruk-Size, they can be larger. Though this comes at a cost, being Olog-Sized, the Animii will become very slow, simple-minded, and physically most of its density and weight focused on its legs to support the chonker. An Automaton may Overclock, where they push themselves past their typical limit. This is at a cost, for a minor OC, they may hold it for [4] Emotes, and for a Major [2] Emotes, if they go past this or try again for a second time in a combat encounter, they will die. Machine Spirits are when the Gear-Heart is lined with Gold and add a quantity of blood to the Lifeblood, in addition to personalized reagents to represent the individual. It is important to note that being an MS does carry a hefty PK clause should one perish with no additional Husks (Which an MS will shift to upon death). Voidal Mages can become Machine Spirits but will suffer from decreased durability for such.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Smoggers exist, which is an off-shoot of Animatii, but are separate and cannot be self-taught with Animatii. Smoggers require its own TA and FA to teach and practice, respectively.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

    Animii Arm making.

The Mallos, motivated and focused, enters his workshop as he places a schematic on the table. It was to be a large simulacrum of sorts, mimicking a descendant arm, likely an Uruk’s. Doing so, the Almenodrim set to work as he meandered around his workshop, collecting various parts of varying sizes. Among them are gears, metallic rods, and a diamond. Most curious… What was the Elf up to?

Aer’dir of Joma then sets out to make as he begins to assemble a small device using the parts he had retrieved from the various shelves of his workshop. With the Diamond sitting at the device’s core, any informed on the art of Automaton-Crafting would immediately recognize this as the beginning of a gear-heart. Though, it would be clear this would be for something smaller, being much too small in scale for a full-on Automaton.

[!] He then completes his gear-heart, the process would be long and tedious, but the Almenodrim would be experienced enough to proceed with little difficulty, not taking much other than his own time. He places the creation of gears, cogs, and springs to the side as he begins assembling various metallic bronze rods, making a simulacrum of bones to create an arm of metal.

[!] This process continues as the large bones of the arm, ulna, radius and humerus are recreated via the rods he had assembled earlier. This, unfortunately, leave only the hand that must be assembled. A pain-staking process, should the Paladin which to give each individual digit articulation, as it would have had in flesh. But, grunting, Aer’dir begins this task, slowly recreating each digit individually and rigging them with hinges to allow proper movement, acting as joints and muscles to contract when needed.

[!] Next would come the construction of the arm itself, with the bones having been made. He begins to assemble various cog-ladden gizmos, which all seem to serve as points of connection for his “bones” and allow proper arm rotation. As he continued, the skeleton of the arm itself would be completed. But, the Automaton Arm would still be far from finished.

Aer’dir of Joma took his previously made gear heart and installed it at the top-most point of the arm, where the arm meets the shoulder. Or, ‘the base’’, of it, where the lifeblood-blood mixture would naturally flow. Next would be the tubing of the arm, which saw the Almenodrim add metal-cloth tubing to the arm, connecting all over, but ultimately sourced at gear heart.

[!] Finishing up the arm itself, the Almendorim took various pre-made pieces of metal to close, seal, and reinforce the arm. It increased its durability to an acceptable level, where the arm wouldn’t fall apart in one unfortunate accident. The Arm itself would be completed, though it should regularly seek maintenance. It now awaits a surgical procedure, where the lifeblood will be inserted, and it will be attached to its recipient.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

    Lifeblood lesson

“As you will learn, typically, Alchemy is a rather painless endeavour. The Gods have taken mercy on us, as most recipes have few symbols and signs you need to recall,” He muttered as he directed his Student into his workshop, a man the Paladin had kidnapped earlier and forced to learn Animii.  “However, in the ungodly procedure of making life, there is no such mercy.” - “Thus, it is a confusing jumble of symbols.” - “Begin with a base of water mixed with charcoal powder.”

[!] The Student follows suit. Following his teacher’s instructions, he pours a suitable portion of water. And then went to a glass jar of an ugly, black powdery substance and mixed in about a scoop into his water. He then stirred it until the pair was uniform.

“We shall begin with the symbols that we require three measures of to make enough lifeblood for your future projects.” He said as he watched his students progress. “That would be Connection, Life, Endurance, and Order. It should not surprise you that the price of Lifeblood is heavy- Meaning it should be used sparingly and never wasted. Though, it cannot be used much other than for repairs and new automatons.”

[!] The Student listens intently as the Paladin provides him with the three symbols he needs. He runs around collecting various boxes from around the room as he scoops out the required symbols for the mixture. Gratefully, he did not have to expend his reserves this time. Thus, in goes three measures of the following symbols, Connection, Life, Endurance, and Order - All of which are refined using the mundane method. Not changing the substance much, given it was already darkened from the Charcoal

“‘Ayla, good- But we are far from finished.” - “The final product we desire is a rather disgusting oily substance that is still water. Though, I would not recommend consuming it.” He concludes, trying to crack a joke. “Add two measures of the following, Growth, Balance and Grace. Though I am aware that you are already a master Alchemist yourself, a reminder that when combining your Symbols, each has meaning. Ponder on this, for what it means in the sense of Automaton.”

[!] The Student does not laugh, as Aer’dir of Joma is not very funny. But this is okay, as he follows his teacher's word, retrieves more of the required symbols, and adds them to this concoction. Scooping twice, the following symbols of Growth, Balance, and Grace, still mundane, mind you.

“Now, in closing, we will add the final symbols required to finish the batch.” - “This would be a sole measure of Strength. It does not require much of it, really.” He pauses as he allows his student to go and fetch what’s needed. “A Reminder, this is only the beginning of what can be taught with this art. Likewise, much more must be done to create a fully functioning Automaton. Assembly is time-consuming and is very tedious.”

[!] The Student notes his Teacher’s words- And now, having known how much pain basically recreating the descendant muscular-skeletal system would be. Nonetheless, he adds a sole measure of Strength under the Sign Mundane and stirs. Curiously, now complete, the mixture turns into an oily substance as the powders are uniformed in the gunk.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

As I've stated in my prior TAs, I believe a conversation with the student in regards to the limits typically suffices and tell them not to repeat that mistake. Should this be outside of a lesson, I would have no choice but also allow ST and/or Moderation to reprimand the student based on the intensity of the Powergaming. Should it continue, they would be at the mercy of the ST to see if they are allowed to continue using their FA and Animatii in general.

Do you have a magic(s) you are dropping due to this app? If so, link it:

             No

Do you agree to keep the ST updated on the status of your magic app?:

             Yes

Have you applied to teach this magic on this character before, and had it denied? If so, link the app.

             No

Imagine PKing your 8 year character after losing a raid to the ferrymen, being captured, and executed without a reason

I unironically agree with this take. I respect all avenues of RP but Human RP as a whole I find is very very different than every other community, in that most players will typically stick in that community for multiple years on different characters, because that's just the norm. Likewise, human NLs are basically doomed to PK at the start of their reign as Humanity's niche on LOTC is hereditary monarchy.

NLs are players too, I would like to enjoy my time on this server and not have to hide in my palace because at any point a raid could sprint through my city and gun me down like a dog and force me to pk.

Unless we want to enforce war-pks for everyone.

This as well, I am just a player and do want to RP with my community all the same without randomly being taken out by like 8 randoms who showed up and thought it'd be funny to take out someone's character because they're on a PK clause. My Persona's just kinda a normal guy mechanically I just have to deal with ooc bullshit.

  5. The Call to Dominus

The Rex of the Horde reigns supreme, as they always have throughout our grand and storied history. But, they do not reign alone, the Dominus sits at the Rex’s side, and rules when they are absent. Madoc’Lur has stepped down from his position of Dominus to remind his clan of his authority as Lurgoth. Madoc ir-taar, glory be to Madoc’Lur, for his contributions to the Rexdom, may his name ring forever in our history and be sung in tales. But, I cannot let this position remain empty for long, less the Rexdom be hampered.

Therefore, I call Ghoraza, the Clanless, to serve as Dominus, for it is his time. But, it would be wrong of me to defy our traditions and call those who possess the strength and tenacity to fight- Should they want this more. This position is not to be claimed lightly by those simply wishing to fulfil their own dreams of power- You must act, as is the Blood Faith. The idle will not be tolerated in my rule, let this be known. The Dominus of the Iron Horde is expected to serve as the fist of the Rex, both fist and mouth, when the Rex cannot be present personally. Be this in Klamor, or in acts of diplomacy. As well as assisting in helping the wayward pathfinders return to their kin.

Less’ Ghoraza is toppled and challenged, he shall remain my Dominus in service to the Horde, this is the word of your Rex.
