The Jackal's Paw: Cheap eats and general store!

Hello. I have a shop. It's currently well stocked. Cheapest food i've seen anywhere too. Stone gear for the novice adventurers, also stocking iron gear, leather armor, but the specialty is eats though.

We got mushroom stew for 5minas a bowl. Cooked pork and fish, cookies for 4m. Also bread and apples for 3minas a piece.

Looking to start a farm? We sell seed packets. 20m a bundle. If you're seeking a shroomy venture, we sell red and browns for 3m a piece. Too lazy to farm and want to skip right to it? We also sell wheat for 0.60m a piece. Got cobble and stone, selling some wool, we even have a supply of obsidian.

Come by and stock up, we're located outside Kramamore by ark's end, close to the casino and what used to be whisper isle. A short jaunt down the road from the holmes headquarters. Prices always negotiable if you care to find me and strike a bargain.

Stop by and read the signs sometime. We'd love to have your business.

I'll be swinging by again soon. I passed by your shop earlier but there were some unsavory types hanging around outside so we kept moving.

Yeah, i'm not sure about some of the folks. Maybe broke gamblers from the casino down the road or something.

Generally, the road outside the paw and the inn are incredibly safe, and on occasion we do pay sweat and blood to keep it that way. The Holmes headquarters are also practically within bowshot, so stuff ain't usually dangerous.

I tried installing a security system, whereas folks inside the shop, could flip a switch, and it would block off the door to the shop (so they could hide from aggressors, as an example, then disable it when they wanted to leave), but as I can't think in the mind of a troll, I quickly learned how innovative they were...

...every day, literally as soon as I left the vicinity of the shop, someone would run inside, flip the switch, block off the door, which trapped them inside but kept them safe, and theeeeeeeeen.......... they'd soulstone away, cutting off my store from all business.

Some people...

That might be pretty awesome. I can't speak for James, but I do remember there used to be a "Protected by the Oren Guard" sign outside the inn, but after not seeing anybody for like a month, and thrice going to oren to try and find help when banditry was about and finding none at all, the sign got taken down. We still got a 'patrolled by the holmes' one, because they're literally right up the road and they come in and visit quite often. I can't really blame the oren guard, but with all the undead stuff in the north, they can't spend too much time wandering around the south in whisper isles territory I suppose.

It'd be keen to have s'more dwarves around the inn. PyroFuzion (that's his MC name, I think IC it's Holmes_HisRank_Fuzion) frequents the place, and he's great company.

Me commander agreed! Ye inn now be under thee protection of the Kal'Urguan Guard!! If ye like ye can post a sign in front of ye inn like ye did with thee Oren guard. Also, as an added bonus, many guards that get hungry, need tools etc. will visit ye inn. If a bandit strike unfortunately occurs while we are not around that area, notify me directly of thee person's name, and I shall put that name on the top of our wanted list.

I hope I was able to help ye amazing business!

Awesome, awesome. I'll put the sign up when I get on tomorrow, I really like kal'urguan too. Great city, all domed and underground, free public mine, a wheat farm which I based mine off of, and good folk all around.

There's (usually) always free food in the inn too, and I try to keep the prices affordable on the iron gear, diamond is a bit 'spensive, but stone gear is cheap and there's tons for anyone, young or old, who needs a tool on the way to wherever.

I think anybody would be. There was some ****** on /ooc when /modlist was empty (green vip too, the twit) advertising how he was buying all ores and trading ingots or minas for them.

...i'm aware this is how folk work up blacksmithing rather quick. I personally smelt all the ores I get anyway.

Shop's still open, we still do some business. People have been dumping off their leather and iron though and haven't been buying any back, so it might not be buying for all too much longer.

Also, prices have changed a bit, due to a good autumn harvest out in the forest, and local competition being stiff, seeds and wheat cost a bit less for you bakers/brewers wanting to try your hand or just buy the supplies to make your own. We still got food, although the cheap food is disappearing fast now since all food heals the same, so long as you're full enough.
