How did you hear about us?: - Through friends (Drazker mainly).

What do you think the server will be like? - Enjoyable, intellectually stimulating.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes.

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - The rule against permanent deaths - it means that people can't cut plotlines short, and can't spoil other people's enjoyment by killing their characters, a problem I've seen on other RP platforms.

What is roleplaying?: - Adopting a character within a roleplay environment in order to play out that character's story and interactions with other characters. Usually either done in a larger public sphere or in a tighter plot based format.

What’s metagaming?: - Using information found through OoC methods ICly, with your character having no legitimate IC cause to know that information. Usually done to gain an unfair advantage.

What’s powergaming?: - Controlling the actions of another player character, usually in order to gain an unfair advantage.

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

What’s your character called?: - Alistair Caliburn

What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Human

What sex are they?: - Male

How old are they?: - 26

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Born of a rather dull merchant family in Abresi, Alistair's upbringing surrounded him with finance and books, with his father's participation in merchant leagues bringing a mildly political element into his life. An only child, he spent a lot of time with local children in order to make up for his lack of siblings. He was generally disconnected from his mother, whose role was relatively minor within the household.

 

Receiving tutelage from his father as he grew up, Alistair's understanding of money would be second to none. Unfortunately, this also brought about a slightly miserly attitude and Alistair has become slightly cold to people's concerns, such selfishness fueled by his lack of brother or sister. Despite this, however, he maintains a yearning to create his own family. 

 

Throughout his adolescence and his early adulthood, he has become increasingly devout to the True Faith and his belief in the Creator is unwavering, although his unsympathetic nature means he is unlikely to act on that devotion. That particular selfishness leading to an argument with his father, which led to him being thrown out. With only the money he had been carrying, he adopted a nomadic lifestyle and made money as a travelling trader, with every intention of settling down when circumstances permit.

What are they like (personality)?: - Miserly and selfish, Alistair is cold to people's woes, however it is possible to get under that shell and into his "circle", where he will actually care. Aside from that, he is a very loyal person, with his loyalty to the faith never coming second, but very closely followed by loyalty to whatever liege he may be serving. Dependent on mood, he can sway from relatively sociable to stubbornly irritable.

What are their ambitions?: - His ambitions are threefold: to make his own family, to secure his finances and to achieve some degree of power and influence. Wanting to spite his father for throwing him out, his life is focused on one goal in all - success.

Do they have any special skills?: - Alistair's acumen with money means he has become a very capable mathematician, able to calculate sums (especially with money) relatively quickly. 

What are their weaknesses?: - His closed off nature means he has difficulty trusting people and thus whilst sociable, he can be socially unattractive at times. He also suffers from very bad seasickness.

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Alistair has a relatively regular appearance of a human male of average height, with a lean figure neither built nor corpulent. His green eyes and sharp nose feature on his rather unassuming face, and his raven black hair frames him. His normal clothing consists of a green jacket over a white shirt, and plain trousers - showing that he generally dresses for his station among the merchant classes. 

Anything else you want to say about them?: - Alistair will be going to work for House Vekon in Herendul.
