Out-Of-Character Information


The simplest section of the application! Simply answer these questions so we can get to know you a bit better.

What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: - cookie_slap
How old are you?: - 14
What time-zone do you live in?: - GMT + 0


Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: -  I have, I've been on this server (Back in Aegis I think). I have been on one or two other servers one on minecraft and I've played on a strict roleplay server on SAMP, I played on that for about 3/4 of a year and I think it made me a much better roleplayer. 
Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: - Look above ^
Have you applied to this server before?(Please link past applications): - Yes but my character is long dead and this is a new character.


How did you hear about us?: - I believe that I saw some sort of ad and which made me interested then I watched a series on youtube and joined. 
What do you think the server will be like? - I hope it'll be a bit busier than the last time I played but I think it'll be just as fun. 
Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes of course.
What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - The one where if you run from a fight with no real roleplay the other player can attack you PVP'ly. This keeps it so if you powergame it can be countered quickly.

 


Definitions

This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another website / person's!

What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is where you take up a role, whether it's fantasy or a bit like IRL. It allows you to be someone else and take's you away from normal and boring life.

What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is when you give your character knowledge that you found out through alternative methods to roleplaying, such as teamspeak or the nametags in chat and above heads, and you use this knowledge in game. 

What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is when you character becomes unstoppable, or does something that is not likely to happen. So your character might do an unblockable punch to someone's face or he might jump across a massive ravine unharmed.

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

What’s your character called?: - Both Deathsplitter 

What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Human - Orc

What sex are they?: - Male

How old are they?: - 23

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): -  Both was born back in Elysium, a year or two before people started setting sail for Anthos. He doesn't remember much about the transfer but he remembers growing up on the outskirts of Abresi. His human mother didn't let him go out much as she was afraid he would be picked on and would fight and become sour. His orc father taught him a little about unarmed fighting when he was about five or six but he later died. His mother told him he was killed when a mugging incident went wrong but Both was sure his father could best a few lowly muggers at combat and he became stuck with the idea that some sort of dark and evil force or minion did it. 
 
Both and his mother, Myra, grieved for a long time over his father, especially his mother as she really liked orcs and he was the kindest orc she had seen but she soon realised that to pursue her dreams of Both not being sour and super bloodthirsty she would have to teach him how to be nice. She set about implementing three 'lessons' into his life so he would be friendlier towards others. First she played on the orcs blessing for being honourable and she  told him that if you do be kind to those who are not, you will be the most respected and honourable of them all. He took this in and in the odd times when he was outside and being called names he lost his temper a little but tried to be as nice as possible.
 
Next she said that taking a life is something we shouldn't be able to do, making Both believe in the use of unarmed violence more than weapons as punches and kicks are more reliable and less lethal, but still effective. Finally the last and one of the most important 'lessons' he would ever get is when she told him that keeping gains no interest but kindness does. She taught him that if he helped the people who needed it they would repay him when he needed the help back.
 
By now Both was around 18 and started going out by himself on walks, and to town. One day returned to his house to find his mother dead and his belongings stolen. He erupted into fury and stormed off, trying to get as far way from any town as possible. He learnt how to do a little fishing and hunting but he soon realised this is not how his mother would want him to be when he about 22 he started going back to villages and town, he started helping people again and when people would jeer at him he would walk off, keeping calm by remembering his mothers words. And now here he is.
 
 
What are they like (personality)?: -  He still has the short temper of an orc but he can control it as long as he is not pushed too far. He tries to be friendly and helpful but can be really snappy and defensive if he is in a bad mood. Generally he is not an evil character and would probably be classified as neutral good, verging lawful good.

What are their ambitions?: - He wants to become a cleric and help people by healing them as that would gain him many friends. But a second reason to try to learn some sort of magic is that if he succeeds he will use it to fight off evil as well and would probably try to help in battles against the black scourge up in the north for revenge for his father.

Do they have any special skills?: - Not really, only geneticly wise such as how he is stronger and taller than the average human but weaker than the average orc. He has a fairly good tollerance to pain and finally he hopes to have the power to be a cleric.

What are their weaknesses?: - His mother, very much so. Any bad mouthing about his mother would let out his orcish bloodlust. He also would not kill someone unless they are a minion of evil.

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: -
His skin his very light green, he has kinda large ears, bigger than you might expect from an orc. His bottom two k-9 teeth are poking about 1- 1.5 cm out of his lips and his eyes are green. Hair is uneven and scruffy, and he doesn't generally dress up as a normal human but he wears more than just a little loincloth. He is 6 ft 8 tall.
 

Anything else you want to say about them?: - 
Just that his future will be to try and destroy all minions or servants of darkness and that thoughts of his mother calm him. Also he can't read.
