What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: - J4hRm4nN

How old are you?: -  18

What time-zone do you live in?: - GMT

Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: - I used to roleplay a lot on forums when I was younger, but I’ve never tried on a game client before.

Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: -  No.

Have you applied to this server before?(Please link past applications): - N/A.

How did you hear about us?: - I saw a youtube video about it when looking at minecraft videos, and it caught my eye.

What do you think the server will be like? - An immersive experience where I can enjoy roleplaying in a fantasy-medieval setting.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: -  Yes.

  • What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - You can't use any client-side modifications that give you an advantage over other players, like; speed-hacking, x-ray vision, fly-hacking. You can however, use things such as More Player Models and Rei's Mini-Map which we encourage you use!

Hacking is a no-no for most servers, especially on servers where players must act in a manner which makes sense from a roleplay standpoint.

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Francesco was born in the turbulent “Era of the Five Kings” sometime in the range of 1426-1430; post-Exodus of Horen V, where the human realm was splintered into five different kingdoms. However, he was fortunate to be brought up in the relatively stable city of Kingston, far away from the other feuding human states and under the watchful eye of the Dwarven crown. His father had come from a line of traders, the Bonifaces, who at the time had enjoyed mild prosperity in shipping cargo to the Wilds from their Kingston headquarters. The family, while not a member of the primary aristocracy and nobility, had enjoyed an upper-middle class lavish lifestyle in one of the safer districts in the city. The Bonifaces could afford their only son, Francesco, a clerical education in mathematics, theology, and literature.

The young Francesco was rather timid in his dealings; he was often found scanning his father’s shipping accounts or with a nose buried in an old tome. He rarely socialized with children of his own burgherian class, and rather had a tight-knit group of friends who hailed from Kingston’s less prestigious districts. The band of misfits and slum-dwellers had welcomed the more established Francesco with open arms, and the lot played pranks and conducted mischief all across Kingston.  Francesco had picked up much of the vernacular of the lower class during this time as he spoke in a mingled Salvian dialect, much to his father’s chagrin. While the Bonifaces lived far from a perfect life, with the family at times burdened by debts and sneered by the nobility for their upstart ways, they lived a secure life, one with relative peace and prosperity.

However, by the early 1440s the Salvian Crown had began to enter dispute with their dwarven overlords, who soon found the burden of shouldering and protecting Salvus from rival human states too heavy to bear. The orcs had sensed this moment of weakness, and unleashed a full-scale campaign against Kingston. Nearly all of Francesco’s male relatives were conscripted into the fighting, with Francesco only a year shy from the conscription age. When the war turned sour and the Orcs were at the Kingston gates, the merchantry had pooled a small fortune to hire mercenaries to escort their loved ones out of Kingston safely, in hopes of finding better fortunes in Ruska, Renatus, or Herendul. Yet these mercenaries were fickle with their dealings, and upon spotting an Orcish harrying party west of the walls, they broke rank and fled leaving the merchant’s wives and children to scatter like jacks. Francesco was part of the frenzy and he had lost sight of his mother mid-chaos. Running off to the outskirts of the Salvian kingdom, he could only gaze in despondence at the sight of Kingston aflame, his home ravaged by war.

The adolescent Francesco vowed to take vengeance on both the Orcs and Dwarfs for their respective crimes against Salvus, but the vast tract of wild, unsettled lands across Oren had other plans for our young protagonist. A city-boy all his life, Francesco could barely make do in the woods, often drinking unclean water and consuming raw vermin. Starved, deprived, and depressed with his loss, upon seeing the lantern lights of a nearby priory, the boy’s eyes widened with joy. The local monks could only spare some wilted oatmeal and salmagundy for Francesco but he fervently wolfed the meal down all the same. However, the monks had told Francesco that he could only stay the night, for they were not a poorhouse and could not afford to harbor every war refugee that stumbled upon their doorstep. Francesco pleaded and pleaded to little avail. However, upon making the remark that he was literate and could aid in managing the ledger of the priory, the local monks decided that they could use the help.

When Francesco explained his quest of vengeance to a certain Brother Vincente, the clergyman chuckled as old man do, and sat the boy down. There, he explained the futility of his unbridled passion, that not only was the possibility that Francesco could raise an army to rival the strength of the other races as unfeasible, but to seek retribution through war and genocide was despicable and that these wars were only the natural order of conflict between the mortal races. The virtue of youth had beckoned Francesco to cry out in defiance to Vincente’s teachings, but the clergyman’s cold logic and rationale had tempered Francesco’s wrath. In shame, Francesco decided to take an oath of poverty in the eyes of the Creator, in an effort to understand the world around him in a better life and teach righteousness instead of vengeance.

While Francesco never chose to ordain himself as a member of the priory at the time he served there, he spent over half a decade learning and aiding the local priests before making enough coin to set out on his own. In an effort to pick up a usable trade before he left, he learned from the local monks medicine and surgery, where his education came in handy in grasping the various volumes and tomes regarding the medical field. While the memories of his past still linger, he hopes to find work and try to normalize his life with the Era of the Five Kings ending, and Oren’s stability somewhat secure.

What are they like (personality)?: - Francesco is a humble, pious man whom has a penchant for learning and education. He enjoys to help others and is morally good. He has an aversion to armed conflict and the bloodying of others, stemming from his merchant background, his trade as a doctor, and distaste to war. He possess a fair amount of strength however, and will defend himself or the poor in a time of need. But rather he would prefer to solve things through negotiations, and may often back out of fights. Furthermore, Francesco can be a bit bull-headed and stubborn about certain ideals; he is not vain, but will argue for long tracts of time. His experiences with street urchins and distance from the aristocracy has given him a gruff outward appearance and a brash, bawdy tone of voice.

What are their ambitions?: - With Francesco’s thirst for vengeance gone, he now seeks to educate and enlighten his fellow mortals, to walk and live a more sound life in the eye of the Creator.

Do they have any special skills?: - Francesco is well-read and educated, a great asset for those lowborn. Francesco’s “trade” would be his skill in medicine and surgery, being an ample enough surgeon for men in his time period.

What are their weaknesses?: - Francesco does not have the moral propensity to outright kill, even in some times of self-defense. In a medieval world, this can get Francesco in a lot of trouble when he is unable to put down someone threatening his life.

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Francesco stands at the middling height of 170cm, black of hair with an olive tone of skin. He has a stern look to him dabbled with facial stubble, with strong arms. His muscle is tempered with a generous layer of fat and he weighs in at about 77kg.

Anything else you want to say about them?: - Not really, I think I said a lot in the bio!
