Definitions



This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another website / person's!



What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is where you live in a life of another person life and make decisions for them usually you make that character



What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is where your'e character says something or do something where they would have no idea how to do it or what they are talking about. Example: one players character's name is Roy and another players name is Mack. Mack asks roy how do you make a speed potion. Roy tells Mack how to make it but player 2 character aka Roy knows nothing about brewing potions.

What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is where you try to make your character do stuff which would be impossible to do. Example: Roy is being chased by two people. roy then turns around and turns into a dragon and eats them.

How old are they?: - 26



Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Tom's mother abandoned him in the city of New Abresi when he was three months old. Tom was adopted by a family of humans called Fircone. The family that adopted him named him Tom Fircone. Tom's new mother and father names are Gareth and Catherine Fircone and his new sister's name is Sarah. Gareth was a hunter who regularly sold his meat at the market and decided to train Tom to hunt to follow his footsteps. Catherine was a healer who had regular customers because she treated her patients like her own children. She was the main source of income for her family and like her husband she decided to train Sarah to become a healer. Tom was told at the age of 20 that he was not of their blood and they found him on their doorstep. A note came with him it said "dear Catherine how long it has been since we have last met. I wish i could keep my son but i am not able to keep him. I remember your last letter on how you and your husband longed for a son. So i decided to give my son to you to raise up and give him a good life as i can not. I wish you good health and a long life signed your Sister Andrea. Shocked by this Tom asked his mother "what was my mother like was she kind". Catherine then says to tom "she was the kindest person i know and had a heart of gold". Tom then asks his mother "why was she not able to keep me". Slowly Catherine kisses Tom's forehead and then says to him "i don't know but i bet she had a good reason why". Tom aged 26 now a Natural with a bow and has learned all he needs from his father Gareth says goodbye to his family and sets off to learn why his mother left him to her sister and to make a life for himself.

What are they like (personality)?: - Tom was brought up by his Family to be Polite and kind to anyone he meets. Tom also can be very down to earth and knows when he has failed or has made a mistake.



What are their ambitions?: - Tom wants to find his mother or find out why she left him.



Do they have any special skills?: - Tom was trained by his father to be excellent at a bow 



What are their weaknesses?: - Tom was never trained how to properly use a sword or axe and can be very useless at any weapon except a bow 


Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: -Tom has dark emerald eyes one eye nearly covered by his bright blonde hair. his face covered by a mask to hide his face. Tom always has a quiver of arrows on his back.

Your application has been denied and requires the following changes:

 

- As the previous AT claimed, a few events in your biography don't make much sense. In the first sentence, your character's mother just 'abandons' him on someone else's doorstep and we are given no more information. Try to give the events in your biography more depth and explanation. Also, your biography is a little bit bland. There aren't really any 'interesting' events that happened to your character, besides being abandoned at birth. Try to make his story more interesting and appealing so that we'll want to read on. A good example is about how your character's father trains him. Just saying "His father trained him" is very boring and feels lazy; Turn his training in to an interesting story that really has an impact on him.

 

- Again, your biography did not contain anywhere near enough lore. You only mentioned one city, which is far too insufficient; Please add a decent amount more lore so we can be sure you've read up on it a lot. - Your weaknesses need improvement. Lacking skill with a weapon isn't really a weakness since nobody is skilled with weapons without training. A weakness has to be a flaw your character has that could put them at a disadvantage (doesn't necessarily have to be combat related).
