[EDITED]

Out-Of-Character Information

The simplest section of the application! Simply answer these questions so we can get to know you a bit better.

What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: - llama_at_te_door

How old are you?: - 15

What time-zone do you live in?: - Central Pacific

Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: - No, but I know that you must follow the lore and rules.

Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: - No

Have you applied to this server before? (Please link past applications): - No

How did you hear about us?: - My friend diamondmaster has told me about this server a long time ago.

What do you think the server will be like? - I think it will be fun for my first time roleplaying

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes.

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - I agree with two rules that I think is creative and good for the community. I agree with no cybering because this tell me you care about under age kids who take things seriously, and I like that your skin has to match your character.

Definitions

This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another website / person's!

What is roleplaying?: - When you become a fictional character and you take his/her place and act out their actions.

What’s metagaming?: - When you use out of character chat or relations that will aid you in various things that your in game character wouldn't know. So for example my IG character can be across the map and my friends tell me there is a war going on across the map. I didn't earn this information from roleplay so therefore it's almost like cheating.

What’s powergaming?: - When you use unrealistic powers that your character doesn't have to over rule having something happen to that your character wouldn't want to happen to them. It's kind of like when you were a kid and you would play sword fight with your friend and you would swing a sword at him and he'd get hit and you wouldn't act dead because he says, " No i'm not dead because I'm immune to swords," and you'd be like, "Well my sword isn't an actual sword it's a magic sword," and you're friend says, " well magic doesn't hurt me either." It's just using lame and awful excuses to avoid consequences that your character may face.

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

What’s your character called?: - Orin

What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Human

What sex are they?: - Male

How old are they?: - 19

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Orin (said as Oreen) grew up on the streets of a small town outside of Abresi without the help of his parents. His father left his mother after he found out he got Orin's mother pregnant after a night of drunken sex. His mother could not take care of Orin after 2 months of being born. Orin's mother left him on the doorstep of a  household. The household consisted of a mother, father, and a boy named Odan. The family found the baby and immediately brought him in as their own.  The boy named Odan was 3 years older than Orin. At that time, Orin didn't have a name, so the family gave the name Orin to him. Orin rarely talked to his foster family. The only person he did talk to, was Odan, his foster brother. Skip a few years ahead, at age 9, he was out at the market, trying to pick the pockets of those who walked around him. At that time, he had no clue that orc bandits were in his home, ransacking his house. His brother fainted when the bandits had raided in with daggers and masks. When his brother woke up, all he saw was blood, his father, and the body of his mother, lying there lifeless. His brother automatically assumed his father had killed his mother and ran out the house without talking to his father. Odan searched in the market for Orin. Once Odan had found Orin, he told him about how his mom had been killed by his father, and how Odan was going to run away and wants Orin to come with them. But they needed money so they both ran to Abresi to try and thieve from people to get money for their new lives. And ever since, they have both lived their lives together and continue to take care of each other.

What are they like (personality)?: - Quiet, thinks before he speaks, and observant.

What are their ambitions?: - To survive with his brother, and possibly find his birth mother.

Do they have any special skills?: - Orin is very stealthy and quick on his feet. He is somewhat skilled in combat, but he wouldn't kill you unless there was a good reason too. He knows how to manipulate the shadows and hide from people trying to find him.

What are their weaknesses?: - He isn't very stealthy during the day and he isn't a great assassin. He can't go around and kill people, unless there is a good reason, because he thinks that is wrong. He is too hasty and as a result of this he doesn't work well with people who plan ahead.

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - He has brown hair and sky blue eyes. He wears brown clothing and has a blackish-grayish face mask.

Anything else you want to say about them?: - No

Please give us a screenshot of your character’s skin: - http://minecraft.novaskin.me/skin/6519914974150656/rogue-prophet-or-mage

Your application has been accepted! Congratulations! (Check notes)

The majority of your changes were good, but the fact that you didn't even change your answer to powergaming, rather, added on to it while it was wrong bothered me. However, I feel you are worth accepting so long as you read my explanation of it here:

- Powergaming (or 'Power-emoting') is forcing your actions on to another player without giving them a chance to respond or considering their own reaction. Example:

*Example Assailant swings his blade toward Vithquar's head in an attempt to kill her.*

*Vithquar avoids the attack and thrusts her blade in to the Assailant's eye, killing him instantly.*

Notice here how the 'Example Assailaint' attempted to attack my character rather than assuming or insisting he succeeded? This is the correct way to roleplay. Vithquar (my character) on the other hand,  forced her action without considering her opponent might avoid her attack or respond in some other way. In this instance, Vithquar was powergaming.

If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to message/PM me!
