     The Mali'Ker, Children of the Darkness, marched out from their settlements hidden in the shadows of tall trees while others emerged from their damp caverns hidden deep underneath the Earth. They glided over the Earth, their path illuminated by the moon, each carrying little belongings. Owls hooted down upon them from their branches high above the ground. Deer stopped their grazing in the meadows as they passed by, their heads turning gracefully to watch them walk. The stars twinkled brightly above them as they exited out from under the veil of trees. One by one they walked forward in a straight line, their heads bowed. Some of the Mali'Ker began to chant ancient songs, their voices flowing from their mouths like silk, as they neared the gateway leading into the next world. Each entered the swirling void, vanished as soon as their skin hit the invisible wall. They emerged on the other side in the same line, still walking. The gates of Tahn'siol slowly raised to allow the wandering Mali'Ker entry into the city. Darkness has joined with the Light.
