Role Play Or Pvp?

It's hard to "book it" with 7 people chasing you in a terrotiry you don't even know your way in...

Running MCly opens to PVP. That castle you were at has been nothing but problems for us. Getting defensive over something doesnt help you when all we are doing is pointing out why you /were/ PVP'd in the first place at our home. A good rule of thumb, be careful who you hang with. Don't like raids and killing, dont join the humans (love you guys though ^^;; ), dont like snobby cruel intellectual rp, dont join the high elves. Who you hang with is also opening to how you will be treated.

I dont rp much outside of my circle of friends cause we like peaceful rp. When you ally yourself with someone who has tried to force us into servitude, harassed us ICly, attacked our children, you are perceived as a threat, regardless. Sorry you had to pick the wrong crowd to be with. We were well in our rights at the keep as we were allowed to raid. You happened to get caught up in the raid.

I didn't knew that he did that... You told me afterwards, yes, but that's mostly a little late isn't it? But just, nevermind, i'll remember what everyone said, I already have a new persona, Eotweniar won't be seen that much anymore.

Thank you all very much, but I'd declare this topic as closed.

Thank you all a lot for the hints & tricks!

I recommend that you join a faction.

I recall writing a guide about the PVP vs RP issue which is now backed. And I wrote it to try to stop issues like this, clearing the grey area entirely to define rp or pvp with as little drama as possible. Here.

Basically that's how it's intended to be. Rp fighting is RP, Rp prep for combat can be PvP. It clears up the confusion.

As a community we should be ensuring the enjoyment of our new players. If these people aren't they're being pricks, there's plenty of RP to find in nation's capitals, don't be discouraged.

I completely agree. A lot of the server is turning a tad bit item hungry, and they don't care about what the other player thinks as if they're robots. Whenever I kill someone in RP, I let them keep their stuff, since you don't need items to roleplay. However, you need items to PVP, thus turning a large majority of the server into item hungry fiends.

I like to do both PvP and roleplay since one is required for the other and I also enjoy RP fighting?
