Role Play Or Pvp?

Dear person reading,

 

I'm getting really done by this.

Wherever i go, there's pvp, I always get attacked.

Today, I said I wanted to role play, 30 seconds later I was getting chased by 7 people in full iron.

Like what?

Then they come with the excuse that 'mojority wins' but if I want to rp, and not pvp, why can't I?

Sorry, but last time I checked, this was an RP server, with some pvp, having rhe feeling it's completly changing!

 

Please do something about it,

It's no fun when you're standing there, wanting to role play, and 7 people chase you, it really isn't.

I lost all my stuff 3 (!) times today.

Do you know how much that is?

As a community we should be ensuring the enjoyment of our new players. If these people aren't they're being pricks, there's plenty of RP to find in nation's capitals, don't be discouraged.

I almost have no stuff now!

I've been playing here 1 week, got killed at LEAST once a day.

I already moved ot the edge of the world, still getting into trouble.

So when I decide to wear armor, i get attacked for wearing armor...

And also no one helps me... I know 5 people on the server, something like that, so I can't get help.

What you expect me to do? Sometimes the entire ooc is yelling at me, caus i ran to the cloud temple not to die...

Wasn't that fun? Having an entire server yelling at you?

Please, do SOMETHING about it!!!

And I also in game can't go to oren to court, caus i forget that I died...

According to what I heard in TS, you were claiming to be a master assassin. I cannot speak for anything else, but there are plenty of reasons why you'd get killed for that.

I hate how this Forcing pvp nonsense is scaring away the newbies.

My advise is to find some buddies who prefer RP default. The rules state if both sides can't agree, it's decided by majority vote.

And avoid conflict RP.

Unfortunately/Fortunately (depending on who you ask), using PVP often makes things quicker, especially in larger groups. I'm not going to go start bashing either side, but I'll leave you with some advice. If it's the same people that keep killing you, remind them of this rule:

"Consistently depriving another player (or players) of their fun for your own personal gain or amusement, even after receiving appropriate warnings, is punishable if deemed necessary by the moderation teams. This may also be considered harassment. Essentially, don't be a troublesome player that only plays to annoy others or be a nuisance."

 

Other than that, what I suggest is not running around with armor on or anything valuable in your hand and avoid the places where you get robbed.

The best my charter can do is bluff or some magic tricks, and that's it....

Really, they just attacked me, started randomly voting, all said pvp (ofcourse, I mean, they were with 7 I was laone, ofcourse they want pvp) and chased me till I died...

Isn't that fun?

It is a problem. Next time, take a screenshot, and send it to a GM. Ask them if this is sufficient RP. You could be getting 'armour or die'ed

 

My other solution is to keep iron armour on when outside of cities and keep cooked meat in your food bar. If you are chased, eat some, emote running away, and book it. Chances are you will be able to outrun them.

I often find that if you don't give people reason to aggress against you they normally won't.

With that said, join a faction or order that will protect you. Find groups of players who also look for more RP centric play (usually Mage groups are the ones looking for a pure or mostly pure RP experience.)
