argonian 14254 Share Posted May 3, 2014 I think you're forgetting to tell us the various ways you annoyed these people to get them to attack. And if you want safety, join a guild. The guildhouse will be a safehaven and you can travel with guildmembers.
oblivionsbane 714 Share Posted May 3, 2014 You're new, you don't know which groups, people, and locations are okay to do what in. I mean I know I am bad at PvP, I get like 10-30 fps on a good day. I rarely get PvP'ed though, mainly because I know what I am doing. Also, learn all the rules, there are rules that counter PvP and you can practically use to trap PvP'ers in RP combat. Like for instance, most people don't declare whether it is RP or PvP fight openly. If they are dumb enough to get sucked into the fight RP'ly, then say they already agreed on RP fighting and they can't change it. If they say no and start counting down, get a GM, screen them, and BR them if you want. Kinda weird too, since PvP was actually added in to help stop powergamers, and by the time you know they powergame you can't really change to PvP. There are also a lot of OOC opinions and honest BS that you will deal with. In my honest opinion, figure out what OOC skills you have and concentrate on them. Me? I know lore fairly well and am alright at building, especially certain things, so I say my character is an engineer, a pretty skilled one at that, and it shows OOC. I mean you can say you are an assassin guy all day long, but what do you have OOC to back it up? I mean, do you even know geeky RP stuff like the exact details of your weapons, not what they look like or what they can allegedly do, but what they can /actually/ do. I mean there is allowed to be a little give, like my mini ballistas are probably stronger than they should be, but that's only to make them worth it and adding the 'fantasy' aspect of the server. Samson Option 9652 Share Posted May 3, 2014 We love to help you my new comrade, but I daresay you are being too vague for either to occur: being taken serious and being helped. Please give us screenshots or at the bare minimum, actually describe these situations for us to understand further. We thank you.

Not only is this actually against the rules but it's an absolute scumbag thing to do and not nearly as many people are stupid enough to fall for it as you may think. It's only RP if RP is verbally agreed upon.

It's only RP if RP is verbally agreed upon. Wrong. It's a to fight either when agreed upon or if you make any offensive remotes or react to them in Rp without declaring PvP before or to immediately after. If you start to actively to fight the fight that was agreed upon is TO whether you say it or not.

If you start to actively to fight the fight that was agreed upon is TO whether you say it or not. This is true, but the rule itself is really stupid. It means that a person who wants to PVP either provides build-up emotes and then gets trapped into an RP fight, or they don't and they have the victim complaining that there wasn't enough RP beforehand. It means that a person who wants to PVP either provides build-up emotes and then gets trapped into an RP fight, or they don't and they have the victim complaining that there wasn't enough RP beforehand. If you want to do a PvP fight do it as follows. Also writing this from a cell phone so bare with me. Let's go with the best case scenario for everyone first. You have some to with a person and for whatever reason it gets heated and a fight seems imminent. If you want PvP say so in advance. Like " if this turns violent PvP please" . After that is sorted out quickly figure out if it's to the death or not. Once PvP is done revive them temporarily for the last few emotes. Then kill afterwards or if you're generous let them ss or something. If it's a run of the mill minds or die situation try to give as much to before hand as possible. Cause some fear and what not, and try to actually play your character like you would any other time. Put his personality/ quirks into it. Don't be that assclown who goes "Jonas or die" and then asks for PvP, or even just slightly more. Sometimes you gave no choice, obviously. Anyway after the PvP is done revive and exchange a few Last emotes. It would be even better to take an injury rply, as that could further satisfy the victim. Or even give the possibility to let them live Orr something. Just my 2 cents here.
MamaBearJade 2090 Share Posted May 3, 2014 Helping, one of these "groups" was my friends. We have been having issues with people coming over and stirring stuff with us. We are sorry you ended up getting PVP'd but you cant expect to walk around and live when you parade the idea of being a master assassin who brought down nations (or something really off the wall like that). Don't play a killer on your first try, dont try to act high and mighty. Sadly I was not on for much of it, I could see you were new but I also couldnt tell RPly or OOCly that you weren't a threat to us and our home. I dislike PVP with a passion and will always try to roleplay it out. However, there are times when even I lose patience with people constantly coming back and causing issues. It did not help that when we saw you, you had the trouble maker with you. Sorry, dont take it so personally.

The only reason my character dislikes you is because your character tries to act, as Jade said, high and mighty. Maybe you could take a break from your character and create a new, simpler one. MamaBearJade 2090 Share Posted May 3, 2014 Mind you, neither of us are trying to put you down.We just want you to realize playing a char that is high and mighty and tough **** is going to get you killed, attacked, and a lot of IC grief. Take if from someone who used to play a sadistic killer. I loved playing her, but after a while I went back to the kinder less stressful rp of a normal char. ^^
Helpinghands2 9 Author Share Posted May 3, 2014 I litterally said 'I don't want to fight, I come in peace and won't harm anyone' then you say you coudln't know I was no threath? Also, I don't even know where this whole assasin thing comes from, I never said it, I did once, against 1 person, but we weren't serious and I told him that afterwards. Sorry, dont take it so personally. just to add onto jade When you try spy, lie than attack our people and aid/side with our emery which they have been fighting for a week or so that orders attack on our families and children who is practically a Kill on site with in our land. Than come back armed to the teeth and do exactly what we tell you not to do of course we are going to attack and a 7 vs 2 is not a Good Rp fight at all and hardly will ever work as an RP fight and before you complain reread the rules so you understand them 100% before trying trying to call out people for breaking them when they are not. Also look over the magic guides, ask people OOCLy or get a teacher so you can somewhat understand how magic works on the server.
Helpinghands2 9 Author Share Posted May 3, 2014 Just pointing out, I did not attack your people, your people attacked me, I was just talknig with someone in that keep when someone walked in challenging us for a fight. Excuse me, when 3 people came around. Then you're surpised that the next time I'm aronud I'm wearing armour? I also did put my sword away, like you asked, but the didn't stop you from killing me. I had no weapon out, was al in my inventory (like you asked) , best I could do was flint and steel the ground a little a run.
Maletone Blazebeard (Aqua) 130 Share Posted May 3, 2014 Hello! Well I have felt the exact same way at times, I am not a pvp fan as the majority if my time here (since Asulon) has been to default, I feel pvp makes no sense because in pvp a child could kill a knight. It makes no sense but trust me there is always rp to be found! Join a guild like the gold lions they are an rp guild! As said though, if you get caught in pvp...book it
