Several hours later, Ser Rocco the White emerges into the royal apartments to discover his majesty's body laid across the floor. He kneels and whispers a quiet prayer before rushing out to spread the word of the dead King.

The next day, noblity of the realm gather to the palace to read the Emperor execute the will found in Podriks's chamber.

"The final testimony of the deceased, Podrik Denims-Therving. Let it be known that all my titular, de jure and other heredity titles pass to my second born son, Packard. This includes but not limited to, the Kingdom of Holm, the Duchy of Carpathia, Earldom of Ager, the Town of Alstion, the Castle of Duranth Hold, and the Counties of Hrq Almal, Al'Hana and Y'Ulun. I also give Packard my personal belongings such as all family heirlooms and books. To my first born son, Sigemund of the Carrion's Watch I give Twenty thousand mina. To Emperor Peter Chivay, my collection of mutant whey and chafed nipple blood. I then request that my finger bones be made into the Holm Crown and the other fragments of myself be buried by a Cathedral that his eminence, the High Pontiff, sees fit."

From beyond the grave Zibaen coughs, "Bullshit you were 108 when you died! You were older than me, and I was 103 in 1392! It's been 67 years since I died! Liar!"

Zibaen then goes back to being dead.

Father Cordal Winter shudders slightly at the thought of chafed nipple blood as he writes in the annals of the church.

It is written in the annals of the Church that Podrik Denims ascended into the Fifth Sky on the 28th of the Grand Harvest, in the year of our Lord 1460.
