The Official Halfling Laws

All laws and guidelines issued here are mandatory to be followed or may result in serving jail time, exile, or even public shaming.

 

I - Blades, bows and all other biggun weapons, tools or armor are strictly forbidden inside the village unless used for cooking, eating, or building purposes. Halfling-made items such as shovels, bucket helmets, slingshots and the like are perfectly acceptable.

 

II - Murder and assault are strictly forbidden.

 

III -  All halflings must worship the Pumpkin Lord. Bigguns are allowed to worship whom they please as long as they respect halfling culture, religion and tradition.

IV - Stealing from other halflings inside the village is strictly forbidden. Stealing from bigguns and borrowing, as in taking from others with the intent to return said items, are perfectly acceptable.

 

V - Locks of all kinds are strictly forbidden inside the village, whether it be on doors, chests, gates or even bookshelves.

 

VI - All foreign and illicit substances are forbidden, however common substances such as mushrooms and pipeweed are encouraged to be consumed.

 

VII - Destruction or defacing of the lands and burrows is strictly forbidden. This includes but is not limited to: ugly burrows, ugly rooms, ugly buildings, ugly landscapes and ugly people.

 

VIII - Bigguns, also known as humans, elves, orcs, dwarves, kharajyr and any other outside races are never to gain a burrow under any circumstances.

IX - Compliance with the sheriff and his deputies must be given. Those innocent to their alleged crimes must stand trial. Fleeing, fighting or resisting arrest will only make things worse.

 

X - Improper halflings are to be shunned until they are deemed proper. Some improper behavior includes but is not limited to: wearing shoes, living with bigguns, choosing a blade over a shovel, not worshiping the Pumpkin Lord, breaking any laws stated above, or simply not having fun.

XI - Minas and any other biggun currencies are never to be used inside the village. Bartering with pipeweed or any other favored halfling items or substances is encouraged.

 

XII - Change must and always will be shunned.

XIII - Purposely causing problems between the village and bigguns of other nations is forbidden.

XIV - Constantly stirring up trouble for no particular reason is forbidden.

XV - Attempting to oust the Elders or sheriff in any way is forbidden.
