Cannot Connect To Server

Whenever I try to connect to the server (using both mc.lotc.co and login.lordofthecraft.net) I get this message:

Failed to connect to the server

 

Outdated server! I'm still on (0)

 

So is the server just down or is something else going on? Thank you for any help.

  If it is saying outdated server, you just need to back date to any version between 1.7.2 and 1.7.5 (though some other versions can also be used.)

Firstly, open your launcher and then click Edit Profile.

Then go and find the Use Version option.

Then set it to 1.7.2 as seen in the screenshot. Save the profile and then press Play. It may take a short while as the files download. Personally instead of using 1.7.2 I'd use 1.7.5 as it allows to screenshot the chat window, but that isn't required.
