On: Technological Stagnation

Parchments are placed at the major settlements, encampments, that would be accessible to a Human, at the top in Hancockian writing reads the words:

"On: The Stagnation of Technology." There below in red ink, small print, and with a few short illustrations of semi-archaic device, lay further:

"For the past two eon, the world has become a fetid pile of Olog dung. We have Ballistae, we had Cannons, and a crossbow perhaps has been made in the span of time in whit' empires can rise and fall. Though, before I begin, I shall raise the question: Why must the common man worry of technology? The common man can watch the Maegi make lightning sparks erupt from his genitalia, and be amused for an hour. What should he care for a Cannon, or an Iron Boat, or a more powerful Bow. Why must he care?

Here, further, is example of the invention that was created in ten years, perhaps less, then never expanded upon: a crude illumination surrounds the mid-parchment of an old Ballistae, with an Orc manning it. A weapon capable of destroying walls, killing tens of men in a single fire!..yet never more looked upon with anything other then blood lust. When, dear reader, men can do such GREAT, impossible works in time perhaps less then the construction of a church to our creator, why do they stagnate? I shall do my best to elaborate, to explain to you, the issue we have at hand.

Magic, my friends, is our salvation, friend, and traitor. It teaches the Common Man things of whit' only the imaginative can dream of, it brings him to power, and it ultimately makes him lay alone in a pile of his own **** contemplating the variability of a trick in illusion(Much like a cheap *****). I, do not, in this short Psuedo-Treatise, claim that all Magicians, Wizards, Sorcerers, Conjurers, Murderers, Rapists, Harlots, Thieves, Demons, Shades, and so on, are all the same. No, for that would be ridiculous.

The Dwarves..they out rule us all, and yet not by much. Long-loading devices akin to crossbows, boats (somehow) made of Iron and Gilded with Silver. They made the Cannon, and on the watch and that of their attackers, they lost some of the most powerful technology this world will ever know. They too, hold the blame. We do not preserve the technology we all so rarely make.

Now, as I have said, I shall give a note, a wish, a plea to you men of the highest regard(or those who, still, in ignorance, contemplate in ****) to abandon Whimsy. Kick her fetid body unto the ground, and uplift the sister which she herself shoved into the mud. Educate your citizens, their children, for we stagnate and lose day by day due to the odd, occult, somewhat immoral fascination with Whimsy. We must instill in them a way to end a technological stagnation which has been plaguing all for near millennium.

Enoch Magwyn." Further psuedo-intellectual dribble can be read further, with an extremely lewd illustration involving two human dwarfs, a hobbit, a cacti', and several jabberernack. It eventually degrades into the avocation of the burnt sacrifice of all non-sanctioned mages, in order to further promote sciences.
