As a small crowd gathers in the Commons Area, Thallan steps up onto the base of the fountain, being careful so as to not fall in and make a fool of himself. Clearing his throat with a single and brisk cough, he begins to speak aloud:

"Karin'ayla lliran,

"As I'm sure most of you are aware, the home of Elmali is, as of current, being plagued by the effects of hunger and starvation. People are beginning to ask around endlessly for something to eat. Think, now, to yourself: how many times today have you been asked to give away food to another, or have seen it happen to someone else? It is everywhere, and it is not acceptable. In an attempt to put an end to the needless hunger within Haelun'or, I myself have worked the farm endlessly for this past seed, gathering wheat and melon slices, quickly and, if I may say so myself, efficiently. In accompaniment with the Okarir'lliran, I was able to plant one hundred or so seeds, farming each of these seed's crop in turn. This has supplied our nation with a bountiful amount of food.

"However, the earlier mentioned efficiency, I believe, shall not go on much longer with just a single Mali on the farm. It is in my interests that a position known as `Okarir'nor` is implemented into daily life in elcihi. When I approached Elsohaer about this, he described it as a post that has been left in the wayside for a long time. This is, of course, true: the idea that I am proposing has not passed the minds of many for years. Yet now, in this time of need, I believe it should be put into use.

Elokarir'nor would have the task of leading a small group (whose name, I must say, I am yet to decide on) of Mali whose job is simply to carry out elnor'sae that is required to supply Haelun'or with food.

"I, Thallan Tal'iheiuh, am fully prepared to, if this speech of mine goes well, that is, become the Okarir'nor. This post, one thinks, is perfect for me, I am both skilled in nor'sae and leading comes easy to me. Is this not what is required for such a position?

"Thank you, lliran. Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya. Please feel free to call out your opinions."

((I have currently (the time this post was made) made 4 2/3 stacks of bread, 2 and a half stacks of melon and 40 carrots))

Della sits on her perch near the pond, a brow raising slowly as her gaze drifts to the four overfilled baskets of squirming fish beside her, a fifth nearly filled as well.

"You.. do realize dear, that the ker have been ready to provide food, yes? We've already been able to fill everyone's bellies below without much effort. We're even gaining surplus rather quickly. The only hindrance to our gain is a lack of string, provide me with this, and you will have a basket full of fresh, fat salmon for nearly every pole I have in my hand."

Slowly she shakes her head, gaze drifting back to the water, flicking the line out across the pond.

"All that is needed is for someone to properly come to me and take it to distribute among the aheral and ame. Bless your little heart, but really I would have thought there would be cleaner organization by now.."

Thallan turns his gaze to Della

"Llir, I apolagise; I was totally unawares to this fact. However, one must note that, however bright your intentions are, you simply cannot expect Elmali'aheral to simply come over to you, taking your catch. I, especially, would not do so, since you told me, when I enquired, that you were keeping the fish, so as to teach a Malii. Other than that, I understand what you are saying."

"As I just said, sweetie. I wait for someone to come and properly ask. Those that know how to speak in a propper manner, you are welcome to it."

Della shakes her head, tugging in a fat salmon. Hooking her fingers beneath its gills she holds it to the light, ruby scales gleaming as she grins.

"Though I suppose it is difficult, for one of your breed to speak to someone such as myself properly. Often between the kinds of mali, they forget they are mali first, and whatever else is secondary. Should you wish to distribute from my baskets, you need only come and see me whenever you may need it, and a basket will be set aside for you, dear. Not to mention we are gaining more than fish with each passing night, we have plenty of creamed mushroom soup, not to mention every now and then we shoot down a pheasant or rabbit, though those are few and far between.."

Smiling softly she drops the fish into a wide woven basket, watching it squirm among the others within before setting the cap atop it.

"Bless your little heart, but you really do need to pay more attention to how things are spoken, dear.. It will get you further in life if you pay attention to the nuances that others give with every little move they make."

"It seems, llir, that you have proven all that I have set out to do useless. Perhaps creating Elokarir'nor would be ikru. Ahernan, Mali'ker."

Thallan steps down from the fountain, his brows furrowed in thought. He joins the crowd, beginning to converse with another Mali.

((Sorry that there's no pretty colours. I'm posting this from mobile!))

"Why does this Mali'ker always refer to us as forms of sugary toppings? I am confused and concerned to be referred to as "honey" on a regular basis."
