The Lord Regent, Roy Carrion steps out of his quarters, addressing his countrymen in the Imperial Palace. Ushering the assembly to silence, he meets their gazes with a dogged resolute, stating, “I have been made enlightened! A dream I had makes telling of future of this war!”

The congregation shifts uneasily, murmuring amongst themselves. With unceasing determination, Roy carries on, his voice booming, “In this vision, Maric slit my throat, so I have deemed it fit to begin pursuing a road to peace! An end to discord and civil war is what is needed, is it not?”

The terms are made available in pamphlets distributed across Oren and the rebel stronghold of Angren. They declare peace on the following conditions:

  1. The Empire of Oren offers the Stormlord and Aesterwald jurisdiction of their rightful holdings.

  2. The Empire of Oren offers the Stormlord and Aesterwald proper station, in recognition of their de jure lands.

  3. The Empire of Oren voids all war crimes of those that raised arms against the empire.

  4. Aesterwald and those under the Stormlord void all war crimes of the Empire of Oren.

  5. The Empire of Oren shall allow Maric to partake in the “Grand” Privy, a council yet to be established which seeks the betterment of Oren.

  6. Eight Saint’s Hours are graciously given to the Stormlord and his Aesterwaldenian counterparts, which are to be used to respond to the aforementioned terms. The Lord Regent, Roy of Carrion shall not hesitate to take the field against any revolters.

After a scribe announces the above stated terms, the Lord Regent declares his intent to forgive those that once dutifully serve his father and dissolved from the Empire. He commences a prayer to Godanistan, seeking their servitude in victory or defeat.

A courier would deliver the terms to Voron's bed whilst he was laying quite ill.

"A civil war is what they're trying to end by attempting to reunite an already hostile Empire. If the Carrions truly desired a long lasting peace, they'd merely accept the fact that these people do not wish to be under them any longer. Perhaps in that time friendships may once again grow, however far too much has already occurred.

Should we reunite with Oren, the cycle would merely continue full circle. Time and Time again.

Truth be told at this point, as I lie on my deathbed... I'd rather see an honorable defeat rather than a cowardice 'victory'."
