Motsham: the pinnacle of shamanic status.

They are the masters of the Spiritual Arts, the living embodiments of enlightenment and the most robust of links between the Corporeal and the Ethereal realms.

But they are not omnipotent or omniscient, as the collective of the Spirit Realm is. They cannot fight all foes, cannot bring light to all darkness, cannot attain the perfection they see in the ever-moving hands of the Spirits. Even Motshams are limited to being a single, finite vessel for the infinite will and grand ambition of their primal overlords, a fact that frustrated them deeply. It could not be overcome, could not be conquered like all other enemies of the Spirits and those that follow them.

And so the Motshams convened to try and mollify the tightness of their shackles. Many ideas were proposed and many were dismissed, but faith and tenacity drove them to keep trying to search for an answer.

Eventually their faith was rewarded as a solution was arrived at. They would extent a small portion of their spiritual power into another.

They would not be a shaman subordinate, they would be much closer to a tool that the Motsham could wield as an extension of their will, and therefore the Spirits' will on Earth. A small boon would be bestowed upon these Motsham's chosen, that would distinguish them as so, and allow them to do their masters' bidding better.

A blessing, the benefactory Spirit within the plane in which the Motsham is most accustomed. The Farseer and Witch Doctor would choose from the Immortals, the Elementalist from the Elementals and the Lutauman from the Ancestrals. The strength of their chosen Spirit would be imbued in them.

And so, the Motshams went out to find their Dargums, and their most perturbing obstacle be overcome at long last.

((Basically each Motsham gets a champion / sidekick / slave that gets a semi-permanent blessing from a spirit of the type the Motsham's mastered subtype works with. I.E the witch doctor Motsham that could have placed a curse on a weapon wielded by the champion sourced from Orgon that makes the wound infected, the Farseer Motsham could bless the champion with Akezo to give them increased vitality etc. If a Motsham is replaced the champion can also be replaced if the new Motsham wants. All this stuff can be represented through enchantments and stuff, this is mostly just for the RP / the vine))
