~Who Are House Headsted~

Ancient roots of the Headsteds date back to the very First Headsted, Jacob I, who was a loyal servant of Lord Godwein. Jacob first of his name served under the Stafyrs for years. After the canonization of Saint Godwein of Huntshill, Jacob served under Lord Edmund which he helped to keep the legacy of the Stafyrs and Saint Godwein, At the times of Edmund he fought against Ser Farley I. Jacob disappeared from the town for a long time. Most likely killed  at the times of Exodus, Still his sons scattered around the realm for a long time. The youngest of his sons, Nicolas was able to find a suitable wife and carry on the family line of loyal servants, though all was lost after the move to the new realm... Those this was to change, the family was bound to loyalty.

 

~The Family Of Headsted~

The ancestors of the Family were the ones to make the family thrive for as long as they lived, each member was brought up to be loyal to those of higher authority than their own. The oldest names noted were that of Jacob, first of his name and his close wife Able Stricken. Their passion was having a family that would be close for generations, taught to be loyal and Steadfast, they made sure that each and every family member had etiquette and learnt that loyalty is the most important aspect.

~The Younger Generation~s

The generation today within Athera are descendants of Jacob’s line there are many Great Grandson’s and Granddaughters due to the family being rich in health with only the older generations passing, The eldest of the Great Grandsons was Alexander, followed close by Calvin then finally Gavin,  Arathorn and Eddard, Though he was the youngest Eddard had the great privilege of being heir to the house.

Eddard grew up around his brother Gavin and older cousins, being the youngest he would be picked on and made fun off as he was last to do everything. His Father was Jonathon, youngest son of Nicolas Headsted who was unfortunately killed from battle wounds leaving Eddard without a legal guardian. Though Eddard was was reaching the age of 18 It was not long until he was able to make his own decisions, little did he know that his father was in fact heir to House Headsted.

 

AFter reaching the age of maturity, Eddard took the title as heir of the house, which made all his cousins think differently of Eddard not in a hostile way but almost with pride as such a young man could take lead of a family. Years past and Eddard reached the age of 20, no longer a teen he decided that it was time for change, to carry the Headsted name with pride.

Juliana Headsted [Frottimer]

Juliana was the sister to Eddard and Gavin, though one would think that growing up around males would have an impact on her personality, rough fights, foul language put this did not affect her. Juliana has an innocent mind, growing up she had a lot of attention from her mother Mayble given her good manners unlike the boys in the family. Juli and Eddard were twins leaving Gavin the oldest, which when he came of age he left to become a hound leaving the twins with their parents. Juliana stuck with Eddard as they arrived in Athera a few years later. Juliana struggled to understand a lot of the accents within the realm, leaving her brother to translate the uncommon tongue. Eddard new that when she became of age she would have to find a partner as she could not stay aside Eddard for ever, this was a lot harder as Juliana was too naive and oblivious to the foul man that would lurk around her.

Calvin Headsted [Lewismanu6]

Calvin wasn't a man who enjoyed war, he prefered the peace of his own home. He resided in Werdenberg, the farming town of house Stafyr. In the lands of Athera he had arrived minaless and jobless and took refuge in a single room and he farmed for Lord Symon. He eventually got popular in the farming town as he met new faces arrive and old faces leave. He cared for all in the town and never puts himself first. He always wanted to become noticeable when walking through the town as he dream goal was to make his family name known once more.

 

Eventually after time the Lord realised his potential and after much discussions Calvin was promoted to Serjeant. He would have control over 50 soldiers in the falken Order. One of his many goals was achieved and made him stand out more as he walked through the town with his  Soon he was out of his single room and had bought a tavern in which a local elf would often come and sit, they would talk for hours until they soon started courting. After this they moved in together and it was then that Calvin proposed to her asking her to be his wife.

Laurinia Headsted [Jackswannick]

Laurinia met Calvin in the small town of Werdenberg, after being raised by humans it was apparent that she was more used to their lifestyle rather than her own and so she started to explore the human towns more and more. Soon she came across Werdenberg and a man of the name of Calvin. He showed her the town and they soon became close friends, after months of courting they became engaged and she was now a Headstead.

Alexander Headsted [Nickthered20]

After many lonely years on the road, exploring, travelling, and mapping out new areas, Alexander Headsted, finally found his cousin Calvin Headsted. After both of his parents died, Alexander was left to fend for himself. He learned how to hunt, cook, and defend himself. He was on the road for most of teen years, occasionally sleeping in farms, or stables to shelter himself from the cold wind. Now, after years of being alone, he is reunited with his family; ready to continue his adventure.

Arathorn Headsted [semihilyus]

Arathorn was born not knowing much about his parents, His mother was Annibel Headsted and father was Joshua Fitch. He was raised by his Grandfather Nicolas who taught Arathorn to become a  lad who likes sparring and took the great interest on History of the Mankind. He read many books in the library of Petrus and sometimes he would "borrowed" his grandfather’s sword and would practise his skills against a small sparring dummie that his cousins had made for him. As he grew up to the age of fifteen, he argued with his grandfather about joining the Falkenorder, his grandfather wanted him to be a farmer within Werdenberg’s  farms, but he rejected this and left the town and went to the Aesterwaldia to escape the old man.

 

When he arrived in the Waldenian lands, Arathorn learnt that life is harder when family member are not by your side. He worked in the Northen Farms (Which he really hated, but become really good at the trade) he worked for lumberjacks and gained some mina. After a few months he decided to return to Werdenberg which there he found out that Nicolas had died honouring his grandfather he joined the Falkenorder and became the farmer his grandfather wanted from him.

Gavin Headsted [Masonwalding]

Gavin Headsted son of Jonathan and Mayble grew up with his sister Juliana and Eddard in a small communal town. Being the oldest Gavin wanted to leave the family and find his own way, He was a man who looked for adventure and so after saying goodbye to his parents he took his separate way in the human realm, they lost contact with each other. Gavin explored the lands and finally settled in Petrus. He met with his cousin Calvin after many years of separation. After catching up with him he joined the Hounds. The hounds were Petrus’s main defence in the city. He made his way from starting as a Runt and completing his training to becoming a lineman. He has shown a lot of bravery and made an imprint of the Headsted name in the Hounds. He reports to Captain Volker and Sergeant Einheart. Now up until present he is still apart of the Hounds and has become a loyal soldier to Petrus.

~House Headsted’s Loyalty~

After moving to Athera, the Headsteds had no direction in which they would live their lives. Not knowing the the new lands they moved upon, they seeked out new homes within the Human realm, looking for jobs and safety. The Headsteds only connections were of their ancestors between Headsteds and Stafyr, their long line of allegiance and loyalty was strong, though as the years past the families departed from one another. It wasn’t until the arrival in Athera that the two families were once reunited, though their allegiance was lost through the generations of the Headsteds, Nicolas and Calvin were the first to arrive in the new lands. Nicolas was old a weary, guided by his grandson Calvin they walked the stone road before coming to the grand city of Petrusia there they made board for a few night before making their travels elsewhere.

 

Soon they found themselves at the end of the road, and small gatehouse guarding fields of crops with a small town plonked in the middle. Nicolas and Calvin were completely oblivious that this was Werdenberg, a town founded  by the Stafyrs upon arrival to Athera. The Family was kind to the two men, they took them in, gave them a bed and place to stay and In return Calvin helped work the fields and Nicolas helped with what he could. Years past and the Headsteds had became very loyal to the Stafyrs, Calvin was now in the ranks of the Falkenorder, As Serjeant he helped keep peace within the town, by this time Nicolas was reaching the last years of his life, not able to fight he would speak with the other residences of Werdenberg keeping them happy.

 

There came a time where the two families histories were exposed and the roots that once held them together were reformed once again, Nicolas being the Elder swore that the Headsteds would once more serve under the Stafyrs in his last days, the heir would have been his eldest son Jonathon, but he had died from a vicious wound he received in battle, this meant that Jon’s son Eddard was the soon to be the new Head of Headsted, though at the young age of 19 he was the youngest in the family to take the reigns.

 

The Family Heirlooms - Work In Progress

The Headsteds believe that the family should stay united with its past, they do this by handing down Icarus (Follower), the great sword of Jacob I to each and every heir to the house. The wives of each heir receive a piece of jewelry, a necklace to be exact, that is crested with an Aurum nugget polished until the face of the woman glows with a yellow orange.

The items are kept only within the members and only given to those most dedicated to the family. The etchings on the blade are each made by the living heir, its their own way of making the blade their own. Currently in the hands of Eddard, the blade is fight for purpose a sharp edge leaves a clean finish and the hilt much like a hammer with pointed edges.
