A New Chance

As you sit in a tavern, you hear a old man talking about meeting a knight whose body seemed to have been darkness itself. You listen to the old man as he goes on and suddenly you feel as though you are being watched. A man in the darkest of all armour walks into the tavern and stares at everyone, the old man slowly stands and stares at the knight. The knight speaks slowly,

 

"Speak. of. the. dark. and. it. comes."

 

As you stare at the knight, you see he begins to focus. Everyone in the tavern stares at him as he raises his palm and a small flame quickly forms. He walks to a large table in the center of the table and draws a few small pouches from his bag. Each bag seems to be filled with a white powder. The knight speaks slowly again to all,

 

"You. fear. your. past. future. and. present. I. offer. you. a. chance. to. forget. it. all. Will. you. take. it. or. will. you. live. with. who. you. have. become. Has. fear. shaped. you. into. a. hero. or. into. darkness."

 

A elf walks to the table and stares at the knight. The knight's eyes show from his suit and they freeze for a bit. They both start moving again and the knight speaks slowly,

 

"One. chooses. to. forget."

 

The knight gives out a dark laugh as everyone remains silent. The elf grabs a glass of water and pours the powder into the water and mixes it. She looks at her family and friends then quickly drinks. She begins to look sick and falls into a slumber. Her friends rush to help her as the knight speaks again.

 

"Forget. the. past. and. change. your. future."

 

The knight of darkness walks past you as he leaves the tavern. A large mace covered in a red metal stands at his side and he speaks as he leaves,

 

"The. Mace. gives. you. a. chance."
