I found out about Lord of the Craft while looking through RPG minecraft servers Definitions What is roleplaying?: Pretending to be a fictional or character for entertainment. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when the player uses knowledge they have learnt outside the game and apply it to their character in game for an advantage. What is powergaming?: Powergaming is making your character do one action or a wide range of actions without giving other players the time to respond or/and retaliate. In-Character Information Character’s name: Ethir Character’s gender: Female Character’s race: Dark Elf Character’s age: 28 108 Biography EDITED: Ethir was born on the island of Anthos in the Princedom of Malindor, in Luminaire years before the End of the Anthosian Era occured. When Ethir’s mum, Helegnis fell pregnant with Ethir close friends family left the caves they called home and visited Helegnis and Ethir's father (Rimdis) in Luminarie to shower them with gifts, knowing how rare a child was with the curse from Iblees causing infertility. Everyone was espically amazed at how Helegnis and Rimdis’s ages 489 and 487 were able to conceive a child because when you hit 500, elves become infertile. When Ethir was known to be still child in Elf age, she witness the corruption by the Scourge in Luminaire, causing the city to be inhabitable. After this Ethir and her parents all moved to New Malinor where all was well until once again Ethir and her parents were forced to move again due to the Conclave of Malin taking over the nation. After one final move Ethir and her family finally settled down in the city of Darkhaven where Ethir felt extremely safe being with her fellow dark elves. As Ethir grew she lived a happy life. One major setback for her and her family was the End of the Anthos Era where Ethir, her family and other descendants all migrated to the relam Athera after a giant flood swamped the land. After that horrible event she lived in one of the deepest caves in Cerulin surrondered by the love her parents offered her. As a few years went by Helegnis and Rimdis were widely known in Cerulin for being librarians and their large collection of books. As Ethir grew, her parents controlled her more and more into following them in their footprints to become a librarian. They mentored her, teaching her the ways of collecting and storing books, they taught her how to barter for lower prices for books. Ethir’s parents placed high expectations on Ethir for her to become an even better librarian than they were. But Ethir had different plans… As Ethir’s parents constantly drilled her about books and collecting by day, Ethir was sneaking out at night training herself to be a magnificent warrior. She would often wonder far from Cerulin to the closest hills in fear of getting caught. She was using the books from the library about swordsmanship, books about fighting. She was teaching herself how to wield and block with a sword. Learning to slash, stab and dodge. Ethir knew it was dangerous with the undead wondering around and she knew if her parents knew it would break their heart. But she didn’t want to be a librarian. She knew that most dark elves tried their hardest to live up to parents expectations, but she felt like she was different, she felt like she was born to be a warrior. All was well until Ethir began to cave under her parents expectations. Then one day, she had finally had enough. She told her parents the truth; she told them how she didn't want to be a librarian. She told them how she felt she was born to be a warrior. How she had been teaching herself since she was young at night. Ethir was hopeful that they would understand, but deep down, she knew that her parents will hate her for it. Her parents were outraged about how Ethir had been lying to them this whole time. About why she couldn’t just be a librarian. About why she couldn’t be like other dark elves. Then they banished her of home, they told her to never come back. To never speak of them again. So Ethir set off knowing she was not welcome anymore. She set off to have her own adventure and to discover what it is to be her own person. Personality Traits: - Kind and tender to those she cares about - Cold and harsh to strangers - Stubborn - Believes it’s other done her way or no way. - Short tempered Ambitions: Too become her own person, too find out who she really is. Strengths/Talents: - Skilled swordsman - Able to think quickly on her feet - Finds happiness by helping others - Brave and strong Weaknesses/Inabilities: - Gets in trouble because of her short temper and stubbornness - Dislikes reading (due to parents, also means she’s not as wise as the rest of her race (Not smart)) - Dislikes interaction with strangers Appearance: - 6’1 - 147lbs. - Dark grey skin tone. - Her eyes are a crimson red but this is due to lack of pigmentation. - Hair is pure white with silvery highlights. - Ethir is mostly seen wearing dark colours such as red, black, grey and sometimes dark green. - Frequently seen with both ears pierced with gold earrings. Your biography contains little server lore; the wiki http://wiki.lordofthecraft.net/ contains all the information you need such as town names. While not an error, an Elf under the age of 50 could be considered a child. Feel free to private message me with any questions or concerns you have regarding your application or the server. Accepted Anthos existed from about 80 to 30 years ago, but otherwise your lore additions are good. Please wait for a Global Moderator to whitelist you.
