So, Once you buy food it says it has some time before it goes bad, though I checked mine again, and It was rotten, I did this 3 times.

Also Once its rotten you can't eat it.

The shop which might be selling the food, could be selling rotten food.

 

There is a bug towards Shops and food timers, that is why most food stalls should sell raw ingredients (such as dough) and have a cooking station nearby. Allows you to train your chef level and guarantees good food.

Also the ability to create Stone tools is gone is that also a glitch or where can we create the weaker tools?
