    *  While passing the Red Rose Tavern along the Stone Road, you notice a tattered parchment poorly laminated under the torchlight. You can barely make out the writing as rain washes over your face, and the wind whips at your clothes. Carefully you yank it from the rusty nails confining it to the wall, and read aloud the request: *

 

      "Men and women of Athera! My name is Fjordin Sylver, and I request the assistance of a skillful stonemason to support me in a very ambitious venture. Me and my followers are mere peasants in the eye of royalty for the time being, but if we receive this service as a charity to our people (and with that our dreams), we shall potentially create a lasting impression upon the world for all to smile upon. For days at a time me and my followers have slaved in the southern sand dunes, collecting and compressing an absurd amount of sandstone under the blistering sun. Our attempts to chisel this stone to a fine grain has all but failed, and now we understand the necessity of skilled hands. If you would like to inquire on this further, and help me, my people, and all those who will come after us, send a bird east with my name on it."

Deavlin passes by the Red Rose Tavern and walks in, noticing the parchment on the wall. After reading it for several moments, Deavlin thought for a moment. He wasn't exactly an accomplished Stonemason, but he could work on his skills. Besides, this could possibly lead to some kind of employment and payment. He walked outside before grabbing some parchment and ink from his pouch. After writing a short message, he sent it with a bird to the east.

 

Fjordin Sylver,

It has come to my attention that you are in need of 

a stonemason. While I cannot say that I am very

experienced in masonry, I can tell you that I am

quick to learn. If you are willing to have me, I would be

happy to continue my work as a Stonemason to help

your cause and your people... for some decent pay of course.
