What is roleplaying?: 

Taking on and portraying a fictitious character. Involves writing and acting. LARP, Tabletop RPGs, etc. All involve immersing yourself into being your character and interacting with others as they also become their characters.

 

What is metagaming?:

Taking knowledge learned out of character and applying it as if it were in character knowledge.

 

What is powergaming?:

Making your character over-strong, over-powered, invincible, etc. Often unbalanced and unreasonable, having no sense of how to pull back. They power game to feel that their characters are the center of the story, rather than being a part of something bigger and a community.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

 

(*The dates of events on the wiki are a little confusing to me, which is why the addition of events is a bit vague in my bio.*)

 

(If the Present year is 1490, Endvani was born in Anthos, 1438. This is according to the quick timeline in the new player guide on the wiki.)

 

Endvani was an odd child. Born to a Dark Elf father and Wood Elf Mother. Her mother left while she was still very young, having heard the call of her tree to become a dryad.

 

Life with her father was tough on Endvani. Being bitter over the departure of his lover, End's father became a lumberjack. His strict parenting left End feeling exhausted from keeping up with his expectations. He demanded she uphold her Dark Elf heritage and not fall away from him like her mother had.

 

While still very young, from the time she was 9 until she was 22, Endvani became very sick. Her health fluctuated. Sometimes it was better than others but each time she inevitably relapsed. This kept her home bound and stunted her growth. She grew short and stir-crazed. She read piles of books to have the adventures she wished to be having. She began writing her own stories and painting landscapes she'd dreamed of. Sometimes dark and brooding storms loomed over the scenes, her tormented emotions escaping into her work.

 

*Every time they had to flee a realm, from Anthos to the Frindge, the Fringe to Thales, Thales to Athera and so on, Endvani would be torn. She felt sad for the loss of old homes but excited for an excuse to travel and see new places. She often had to be reeled in by her father and told not to wander off out of sight during their travels. She took what she could and where she could not run, she would stand at the edge of her limit and sketch the horizons into her journals.*

 

 

When Endvani was finally well enough to leave home, she did work as a scribe to support herself. She became more interested in exploring the heritage of her mother's side and began to travel to areas more populated by Wood Elves. Intrigued by the process of blossoming, Endvani would seek out Dryads to talk to to learn more about it, keeping their stories in a journal and always hoping she might run across her mother someday.

Has a habit of over-thinking things to the point of second guessing herself.

 

Ambitions: 

 

To create a 'Soul Work', as she calls it. Basically she wants to create art with all her heart and soul and someday reach a pinnacle of pouring her passions into her art, making something greatly unique that will bring inspiration to others. Whether that take form in a book, a sculpture, a painting, or other type of art, she doesn't know yet. She loves all forms of expression.

 

Endvani hopes to someday meet her mother and mother's tree.

 

Strengths/Talents:

 

Endvani is obsessed with the fine arts. She's dabbled in all sorts of fields, from book binding to jewelry casting. Her favorites have remained sculpture and creative writing.

 

Endvani is much sharper in mind than in blade. Her sickness, though weakening her physically, gave her extra time to pour her passion into books and expand her knowledge. Endvani is a strategist. She will look for ways to work around her disabilities to accomplish her goals. Whether those goals are to avoid a battle or how to lift a great piece of stone so she might carve it easier.

 

Endvani has decent arm strength from carving stone. Though not great with a long-sword, she's pretty talented while wielding a hammer and chisel.

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities:

 

Endvari cannot whistle. She also never learned how to swim and has an aversion to deep water. Can be loyal to a fault, often getting into trouble for the sake of others to help them out.

 

Endvani suffers from endometriosis. ( A condition I know how to play accurately because I've got it myself IRL. )

Endo causes daily fatigue and if struck, even if just tickled too enthusiastically, in a sensitive area of the abdomen can leave Endvani crippled over in pain for a few minutes.

 

Endometriosis causes near infertility. Coupled with the curse, Endvani will likely never be able to conceive in her lifetime.

 

Endvani is not the strongest, physically, because of having grown up so sickly. Though her immune system is doing better, occasionally she can relapse into feverish illness if she doesn't watch her health and keep from overexerting herself on a regular basis. On her good days she's got about average strength.

 

Where her arm strength is decent, she has poor core strength from the endo.

 

Endvani is widely untrained in combat. She knows how to use small knives and has shot a bow before but she isn't trained like a warrior. Most of the weapons she owns are for display, as great pieces of art made by weapon-smiths that she enjoys admiring. Most of the daggers and knives she does wield she mostly uses for carving.

 

Endvani avoids physical combat where she can.

 

Endvani is sensitive about her short stature.

 

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight):

 

Standing shorter than average, Endvani is very petite at only 5'2". Her father thinks her growth was stunted because of how sickly she was in her younger years. Her palms are callused from working with stone and other carving projects. Her feet have been callused as well, due to her habit of running about barefoot. While not overweight, Endvani sports a soft stomach and a tiny bit of pudge, weighing around 145 lbs. Her platinum blonde hair is cropped short, scooping around the sides of her round face in a cute asymmetrical cut. Her skin tone is a medium grey, like the slate found in the bottom of rivers. On her right cheek she's got a lighter spot of skin, where sits a tiny white mole.
