It was late in the last Saint’s Month that Baron Jacques de Montfort passed peacefully. One cannot mourn enough the loss of a gentleman, a friend, and a brother. His stewardship of the Barony of Eastcliff kept it from falling into foreign hands, and it prospered until his health declined in his later years. More importantly, his protection and comradery with our good family of Sarkozic de Montfort gave life to the blood in our veins

 

Yet, in death comes rebirth and change. The will of dear brother Jacques has been unearthed, and his holdings and the title of Patriarch of the House de Montfort pass to the Count Victor de Montfort, whose vigor in the leadership of Owynswood has led the County to unrivaled prosperity. Furthermore, the Barony of Eastcliff will be run and operated by Ser Brennen Roost, now named Maer of the city. May it be ennervated from its slumber.
