Pearls/snowballs

So as a Fisherman I've been fishing up Pearls, and I accidentally clicked one and it threw it like a snowball.

 

Granted they share the same ID but this can potentially make people mad if they rename it for jewelry or whatever Pearls are supposed to be for.

As far as I'm aware, (I'm like a chimp at coding so I don't know) you can edit some of the properties of items but you can't change some core ones? Citation needed Like being able to throw them or not, etc.

 

If this is the case, renamed gems of different kinds like diamonds or emeralds, might be a decent alternative to snowballs for representing them. The colour might be a bit odd though.

 

Someone with more knowledge will probably give you a more definitive answer.
