Ethereal Travelers Abroad

In an iridescent event, chaotically strewn in a storm of volatile arcane energy, unseen by prying mortal eyes, two travelers made landing - lacking in company beyond their own. The earth was singed black, stained thus by an intense heat born of arcane phenomenon. Naught betwixt their panning gazes but the open horizon and the looming mountains at their flanks, the two strangers set off. Exotic robes tailored long ago hid the ever-dynamic ethereal forms - melded of unimpeded arcane energy, the two evidently lacked a corporeal shell, subsisting upon the fortunate chance that their souls were chained to their arcane prison. They moved in an otherwordly dance of sorts, their motions delayed but swift, leaving behind them a trail of their bright auras, aflush with vibrant color.  Their concealing garb proved a blessing to the duo, shielding the travelers from most curiosities crossed upon their path.

 

 

Sparing few inquisitive descendants, their travels were mostly unmarred. To be said of those who were fortunate enough to catch a glance at the concealed form of the two - a devouring curiosity took root. Hushed parlays were oft' overheard between the two, their echoed, spectral voices a chore to decipher. Between hushed rumors of anomalies in the distant wilds and the danger of horrors born from the chaotic voidal plane, the topic in discussion was without doubt the corrupted wake of the void. By way of clue, the two were very knowing of the subject - incomparably so. 

 

Their travels took them near and far, though fearing greater contact, the bustling cities of man, mali, dwed, and uruk were ultimately avoided - for a time. Attending to voidal interference by the daily, it swiftly dawned upon the otherwordly travelers that aid may be of necessity. There were blades to spare and lives to be lost plenty if properly coaxed.

With swift concourse, the pair made for the monuments of the descendants, seeking aid.
