13th of the Grand Harvest, 1521
---------------------------------------------------------

The war has ripped hard on both sides, and as of now, the Adrians have felt the brunt of it. The defeat  west of Brelus; the fall of Barrowyk: both resulting in massive losses for both sides, yet the tenacity and plurality of the Savoyards and their allies triumph.

It seems that Siguine Barbanov, Duke of Adria, could not take this defeat. He has left his subjects to the wind howling through their destroyed keeps and deteriorating towns.

It is time to put an end to this.

I, Franz Sarkozic, brother to the late Duke Hugues, with support from the fellow lords of Adria, claim the Duchy of Adria while negotiations with His Majesty Olivier take place.

The letter is carried to the palace in Felsen, addressed to Olivier de Savoie.

"Remember when we let Faiz Karhadeen last live.." Remembers a wavered Danny.

Edmond Sarkozic sighed upon hearing news of the Barbanov's flight from within St. Lothar's. He leaned backwards in his oaken seat, thinking on what could happen.

"Who knew he'd turn craven and flee? After usurping Novellen from his own Sarkozic kinsmen I shouldn't be surprised. Cousin Franz is the last of my uncles kinsmen, its his birthright."
