What’s the rule you agree with the most?: I enjoy all rules on harassment. Far too often communities can easily become either toxic or too narrow minded when you aren't restrictive on what people say, what controversial jokes they throw around, and so forth. My favorite being "III. Behavior that disrupts the flow of roleplay without directly isolating or targeting another player, while not as consequential, shall still be dealt with accordingly with clear protocol from now on. Essentially anything that is considered a joke taken too far."

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: Well I don't know exactly the original way I did (my forum account being made in 2013), but my interest in it was re-sparked by Candle's recent LP.

What is roleplaying?:  The act of acting as another person, a character. Similar to the role of a actor in theater usually just less serious, depending on level of roleplay wanted.

What is metagaming?: Using out of character knowledge while in character.

What is powergaming?: Forcing a RP on a character without them consenting, and usually involves them doing a mean act to the character without them being able to do anything about it. IE Mick walks up to Jack, and emotes killing his character.

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

Character’s name: Grok Maklas

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Olog

Character’s age: 24

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Grok was born in Athera within the warring kingdom of the Iron Uzg. His Pa was  a a puny Goblin smith who saw to many Orc's broken armaments and his ma was a fellow Olog who mostly saw to make the most delicious of bass head stew. Their relationship could be seen as strange but with Pa's brain and Ma's strength not many really bothered them. Grok spent most of his very early childhood with his father in the forge trying his best to help, mainly lifting larger objects or bringing in supplies.  The only day he helped repair or make any weaponry was the same day he first saw anything redder than his skin, his hands after touching a red piece of steel! After that he mostly just left supplies near his father's workshop and away from the forge, maybe those red hot rods will attack him again.

When Grok turned the complicated number of 3 the world around him changed when scary tales were told of a giant worm. Grok was angry that the worm would be rude enough to mess up his Pa's buisness especially after such a large war between Orcs and Dwarves. He didn't have too much time to really get worked up though for his father sold everything he could to a greedy Orc caravan leader to guarantee passage for Grok and his Ma to some safety on the sea. His Pa set off to find another route to get back to them eventually, Grok still wonders if he is done finding there yet. Grok and his Ma were now alone in this new land called Vailor. The rest of Grok's life was fairly average with him gaining a job at felling trees on the outskirts of the Iron Zug and of occaasionaly helping to fish. Fishing was Grok's favorite activity he loved to wade out in the waters to catch the little fishy since they made such great pets, and stews. It was not until he was told he now reached the even larger number of 23, seriously why do they make Grok learn such advanced things, he was also informed that his mother fell ill to bad bass in her famous stew and died in her sleep in the night. Grok was very sad and resorted to hitting the Ol'Ale bottle for quite some times just barely scratching by from job to job doing heavy lifting jobs. Not until recently did he finally stop and sober up for once in a year.

He thought hard for many weeks before finally being able to conclude with what he wanted to do, to build or buy a mighty wooden fish, er ship, for him to set sail on one day and make the best bass stew around to honor Ma and to also wait for Pa's arrival.

Personality Traits: Grok is a bumbling wall of flesh who is unable to keep even his most personal secrets, well secret. Though usually doesn't matter for the fact his language is so limited and his voice so limited in the sounds it can make without sounding like gibberish.

Ambitions: To one day own his own ship to catch the most mighty of fish.

Strengths/Talents: His great strength, knows how to play a basic set of drums, and blissful ignorance. Also his ability to hold his liquor and fish, usually doing both at the same time.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: His ignorance to many things including other races many times mistaking them for fellow orcs, is very impatient to those who make him wait, and how much he stands out naturally even among fellow Orcs with his red skin.
