Lawful Powers

 

  1. The Sohaer is the head of State and Government. If unable to perform duties for any reason.All power shall fall under the Medi'iran of the Triumvirate. If the Triumvirate is unable to perform duties then the power shall fall to the Okarir'tir to decide.

    1. Fee (100 - 200 coins worth of goods)

Lawfully Accepted Physical Punishments:

 

  1. Public Cane Strike

    1. This punishment is designed to ensure offenders remember their crimes each time they sit. It will be enacted in public to further drive in the shame a criminal feels.

  2. Gilded Digit

    1. This punishment is designed to ensure offenders remember their accursed crimes each time they decide to use their hand. The weight will begin to cripple the criminal’s hand over time. The punishment will be carried out in private, but the result will be known to all.

      1. The criminal’s finger will be removed and replaced by such a vile finger.

  3. Gilded Hand

    1. This punishment is intended to act a permanent reminder and public display that the criminal deserving of this punishment is mentally tarnished and should be cautiously approached. The punishment will be carried out in private. There’s no need to disturb the public peace with the screams.

      1. The criminal’s hand will be removed without medicine and replaced with a vile hand.

  4. Gilded Tongue

    1. This punishment is intended to solidify the vile nature of the criminal deserving of the punishment. They will not survive this punishment and will be immortalized as a snake among us. After completion of the punishment, we will bury the criminal’s body at sea.

      1. The criminal’s mouth will be forced open and liquid gold will be poured down the throat.

  5. Gilded Crown

    1. This punishment is designed to safeguard our people from the likeness of a such a despicable criminal. The final product will be removed surgically from the body and sent into The Vault with correct labelling.

      1. The criminal’s entire body and head will be strapped down to a chair. They will then have gold poured over their head from an above cauldron until they stop moving or making noise.

  6. Recycling

    1. This punishment is designed to completely deny the existence of the most heinous and evil of criminals. Those who get recycled are such vile creatures that they will be returned to the depths of creation never to be remembered again.

      1. The criminal will be bound and placed in a vat of acid until bubbles stop coming up.

SLMR PUNISHMENTS

An official member of any authority should understand the law to the utmost degree. As such, they will be punished at 100 to 1 charges. Meaning that they will receive 100 times the punishment a civilian without official capacity would.


 

  1. Flogging

    1. This punishment is designed to tarnish the physical perfection of a criminal. It will be carried out against an offender’s back as a constant reminder in the form of scars that they are terrible mali’thill.

      1. The criminal will be forced to stand against a wall or bound to a pole until the approved amount of licks from the cat of nine tails is carried out.

  2. Branding

    1. This punishment is designed to display to all civilians that a criminal deserving of this punishment is a questionable figure. The brand will be a constant reminder for everyone that the criminal has violated this level of crime.

      1. The criminal will be held down and branded with the mark of shame on their left forearm.

  3. Removal of the Digit(s)

    1. This punishment is designed to display to all citizens what the criminal has done. It is also designed to hinder the criminal in question in everyday life so they’re constantly reminded how terrible they are each time they sit down to eat.

      1. The criminal will be bound in a finger vice and have the approved amount of fingers surgically removed.

  4. Removal of the Tongue

    1. This punishment is reserved for the insubordinate. It is designed to forever silence their sassy-back talk, one liners and other verbal vomit they spew.

      1. The criminal will be bound at the head, forced to open their mouth and will have their tongue surgically removed.

  5. Shaving of the Crown

    1. This punishment is for the criminal to always feel cold and foolish. They will look like the freakish and vile elves they are. Those that are given this punishment will be frequently re-shaven until their sentence is up.

    1. Every mali’thill of the Silver State is entitled to defend themselves if they’re in fear of their life.

  2. Vote

    1. Every mali’thill of the Silver State is entitled to vote in any public poll.

  3. Education

    1. Every mali’thill of the Silver State has the right to enroll in the elhaelun’or Institute

  4. Freedom of Speech

    1. Every mali’thill of the Silver State has the right to voice their opinion in the form of public forum, poster or protest if done without the use of anonymity.

  5. Accommodation

    1. Every mali’thill of the Silver State has the birthright to basic housing, food and means to survive.

  6. Job

    1. Every mali’thill of the Silver State is entitled to a fair job.

  7. Fair Trial

    1. Every mali’thill of the Silver State has the birthright to be tried in the court of law.

  8. Service

    1. Every mali'thill of the Silver State has the right to pursue military service to protect the Silver State and train to protect fellow mali'thill.

  9. Punishment Choice

    1. Every mali’thill of the Silver State has the right to veto physical punishment in place of equivalent manual labour. SLMR have pledged their life to the evarir virtue. As such they may settle their criminal conviction in a lethal spar with a judicially appointed champion ((The criminal will perma-kill their character if they lose the spar)).

Trial Procedure

 

In order of superiority, those entrusted to conduct trials as Mediators within the Silver State Republic are the following;

 

  1. Maheral Elervathar

  2. Sohaer Izalith

  3. Medi’ir Liberautus

  4. Medi’ir Izalith

  5. Okarir’tir [Vacant]

  6. First Minister [Vacant]

  7. Minister [Vacant]

  8. Minister [Vacant]

 

The Mediator will:

 

  1. Select Parir’tir one, two and three.

  2. Introduce the session.

  3. Ensure nothing unjust happens behavior or otherwise.

  4. Close the session.

 

The Mediator will introduce the session by having the defendant introduce themselves. Afterwards, they will introduce the session. “We are gathered here today to determine if [name] is guilty of [crimes]. They will then point to the three parir’tir they selected before the trial and introduce them. Finally, they will declare the court in session and step back. The Mediator will only speak to hush people speaking out of turn or explaining the situation to others who enter if they deem it appropriate. After the parir’tir ask their questions and complete their investigation, they will be asked by the Mediator to deliver a verdict. They will then gather to determine the punishment if the defendant is found guilty. The Mediator will declare the outcome and punishment if applicable and either allow the punishment to be carried out or allow the defending party to go free if found innocent.

Lawful Definitions:

 

Tick: A punishment counter for convicted criminals. After getting three ticks, you will be considered a felon. Felons are subject to physical punishment. Punishments vary by judge, but a criminal will always receive a tick(s)

 

Serious Crime: A serious crime is equal to that of a moderate one when handling punishment(s).

 

Mali'thill: A mali'aheral of confirmed pureblood lineage to the original high elven following of Larihei. They will have hair ranging from white to blonde with the acceptable off-chance of ginger or the lightest of browns. They will possess blue, green, purple or silver eye colour. They will have the skin tone of radiant white when left without sunlight. A mali'thill above all else will be mentally sound in the eyes of acceptable societal standard (See the High Elven Guideline).

 

Mediator: A trial overseer.

 

Parir'tir: A jury member/judge appointed by a Mediator to carry out the verdict of a trial case in court.

 

Unjust Behavior: The use of logical fallacies, hearsay, claims without evidence, speaking out of turn, interrupting a permitted speaker and manipulating a witness through any means while in court.
