The City of Tal'Azwyr

History

Tal'Azwyr was established shortly after the arrival of the

descendant races in Vailor after leaving from Athera, in 1513.

After it's establishment, Verthaik Frostbeard, Legend of the Frostbeards, and Clan Father at the time,

declares himself leader of the small town, which made it known to be the home of the Frostbeards.

The small town grows quickly and becomes a large city and stronghold under Urguan,

with more clans settling, giving Tal'Azwyr a prominent market.

During the Dwarven Elections of 1518, Verthaik Frostbeard runs for Grand King,

with Skippy Irongut being his only competition in the elections.

When Skippy Irongut won the title of Grand King, Verthaik was enraged, and he and his clan,

along with other clans, succeded from the Kingdom, forming the Mountain Monarchy, with Tal'Azwyr beings it's capitol.

During the midst of The Civil War, Tal'Azwyr was experiencing heavy raiding parties, so Verthaik

establishes The Watch of' Tal'Azwyr, hoping the guard force could stop these raids.

In 1520, on the final battle of The Civil War, Verthaik and many other iconic Frostbeards are slaughtered

crowning Skippy Irongut his first victory in his reign.

However, the war officially ended when the Frostbeard Clan Father, Erik Frostbeard, son of Verthaik

ends The Civil War himself, putting the Mountain Monarchy back into the Kingdom.

Most of Tal'Azwyr's residents were wiped out, with Grand King Skippy Irongut hoping

to burn down the city. Erik Frostbeard prevents this from happening, but Tal'Azwyr became a ghost town.

Tal'Azwyr was given new life until Varin Frostbeard was appointed Steward of Tal'Azwyr,

who allows the city to begin to flourish once more with dwed of all Clan, and people of all race.

Shortly after, Erik Frostbeard establishes new laws, and replaces the current government, with a council

of three men, The Jarl, The Steward, and The Commander.

By mid-1520, The Watch of Tal'Azwyr, is re-established and re-named The Frostguard,

by Dwalin Irongut, The Commander of Tal'Azwyr at the time.

Tal'Azwyr Now

Tal'Azwyr still stands atop the mountains of Urguan, with a view overlooking the Valley

and the land between Urguan and Aeroch'nor. The city itself displays magnificent

architecture, despite it's location. Although atop the snowy mountains of Urguan,

the city is filled with the warmth of fires, and the noise of songs and tales.

Tal'Azwyr, other than Kal'Akash, has arguably the most varied city, with people from

all races, origin, and clans inhabiting it.

The young city and stronghold, just coming out a civil war, is still growing in size and shape,

which adds to the variety this city carries in it.

With new things appearing every day, it brings more and more travelers to stop

and admire its beautiful architecture.
