Out of Geldern rides a lone horseman into the early morning mist, carrying an arming sword, determination and a vicious grimace of contempt. In the town square of Felsen he halts and calls out to the good folk of the imperial capital.

 

"My fellow Orenian citizens, I am Caspar de Gueux, former knight of Savoy. Today I wish to clear my name. The so-called 'Master' of Chivalry SER Aulfr of Blackwatch is a fool who stripped me of my rank as a result of me following the Code of Chivalry, the knight refused to obey the orders of authority, could not withstand the temptation of cruelty and to add to his record, Aulfr the 'White Pup' fled from Geldern with his tail between his legs before we could resolve our dispute with words. His decision was made in delirious anger, thus he is not capable of his position.

 

So spread the word, my good men and women. I, Caspar de Gueux challenge Ser Aulfr de Eklund of Blackwatch to a duel! Whether it be to the death or to surrender is his call. He has a saint's day to comply or he will forever be known as the coward he is. Rest assured, my friend, there will be no happy ending to this."
