Eleatic 1033 Share Posted December 31, 2015 On the road, strewn about, is a parchment, stained by time and handling. The worn and faded insignia of a devotee off the trium Tahriel is printed unto it. It is written in a strange language, though a translation into the common tongue is printed below. With any guess, it's an antiquated devotional, or perhaps a funerary requiem, to the strange gods of the Wilven Monks, the Triumvirate. "O·pulcherrimī·dei·videō·ad·vōs·et·orō·vōs·ut·tibi·vitam·aeternam·dederīs·Sed·hoc·est·non·fuisse. Olim·olim·vidēmur·a·vōs·nunc·sumus·sōlus·Nunc·vōs·occīditis·sicut·solem·occīditis·in·umbram. valē·mei·domini·domini·vitae. valē·mei·ūnicī. valē." "O, most beautiful gods! I look to you all, and beg that you might give unto me life eternal; but this is not to have been. Once upon a time; once upon a time, we were seen by you, now, we are men alone. Now, you all set just as the sun; you all fall into shadow. Goodbye, my lords. Lords of my life. Goodbye, my beloved(s). Goodbye!" (No real significance, just a brief crappy Latin composition.)
