*Word is sent out throughout the city, calling for citizens to gather at the stage. The Sohaer stands upon it with several members of the Silver Council.*

 

“Lliran - esteemed citizens of Haelun’or - I have gathered you all here today to share some very important, and perhaps exciting news. Let us reflect on the words of Lucion Sullas.” She removes a letter from her robes “This is the last contact we had with the former Maheral before his disappearance. He spoke of the three things required for our people. Purity - which Sanctuary lacked, peace - which the owls lacked, and progress - which we were lacking. We had no library, and no true Silver City. Look now, lliran, upon what we have created. I have done all I can to guide us to where we are now, and a guide is all I am. I am no ruler as my title suggests, perhaps too kind to do such as some have told me. Though I am proud to have served as your Sohaer, and lead our people to where we stand today. After much thought it has been decided that I will be resigning from my seat. From this day forth I will no longer lead, but instead guide with tradition in mind. On my last day as Sohaer the Council chose to appoint me to the vacant seat of Maheral, as the three tenants which Sullas spoke of have been fulfilled under my guidance. I look to this city and our people, and believe again deserving to call our home the physical embodiment of the maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. This city is a symbol, a beacon that tradition has been restored.” She clasps her hands, looks to the crowd, and gives a smile.

Under the guidance of the words written by Lucion Sullas, Avern’dionne Adraine has been appointed as the guardian of our tradition. The new Maheral of Haelun’or has been chosen, and the seat of Sohaer is now vacant.
