That Which May Not Concede

The night was cold when the full moon lit the ruins in its pale light. The crimson robed cultist had gone to the altar dragging what seemed to be a box behind him. Muttering silent prayers to an unkown deity, he began to pry open the box open with a dagger. This revealed what seemed to be a dusty ledger of some sort, it bore some strange symbol  of a tentacle with an eye in it's centre. The ledger was cold to the touch, a strange and unyielding knowledge pounded within it, begging to be let out...to be unleashed upon the world once again. The cultist admired it for a moment before finally placing it on the altar. Strange whispers then flooded his mind, possibly from madness or possibly from a source of true evil. The crimson cultist began to shudder in fear while also...laughing like a madman. That very same night and not a minute later, the men of Ostavar had their ship destroyed by the devourer, the Orenian forces fled from the beast and the battle was won. 

 

Notes may now be found in Oren upon the return of the so called "heroes" , they read the following:

 

"Y'kath  Lor'naman qui'l 'lor'kanathar, j'lain's'lor, hal'awooosj."

 

The unkown language would seem to be unintelligible, not even the greatest of scholars would be able to truly decipher the precise meanings of these words, however upon further investigation a signature may be found on the notes.

 

"-The Crimson comes for you" 

 

They have returned, they who destroyed the cathedral of Felsen, they who caused the taint of Hassheld at the hands of the Uruk. 

 

((OOC: Yes, this book is just a normal book and has nothing to do with the devourer, the whispers could just be insanity or maybe something "did" contact the cultist.))
