What is roleplaying? The action of taking on a fictional role and taking action as that role would in an also fictional society

 

What is metagaming? The action of using knowledge inside a particular environment that one is not supposed to know or understand because of the rules set in this environment, for example, if a player were to indicate to another member outside of roleplay that something occurred to their persona and suddenly the other member understood what had happen to said player without an in-game interaction it would be considered meta gaming

 

What is power-emoting (powergaming)? Using emotes to gain an unrealistic advantage over another character which is destructive to the RP community and creates an imbalance in character strengths

Biography:
 
 Although he does not know where, Galion knows he was born under a starry night sky, and his mother will never let him forget. Each and every night his mother and him would travel to the highest peak in the forest they could find and sit for the rest of the night simply looking towards the plane filled with stars and bright phenomenon. Still, even after her death Galion continues to look into the sky for the wisdom his mother so easily gave to him. He observes the moon, its deep craters that only lend to its beauty. He gazes at the stars, twinkling in the sky as if they were trying to smile back at him. The clouds, stuck to this earth but having no problem exploring the atmosphere. Galion’s mother always told him to be like the clouds. To be content with your position on Earth yet in no way not exploring your surroundings. Racing towards goals unseen by your own eyes but fully recognized by the future. Since her death, Galion has always tried to follow this advice, among other things- adapt to others like the moon changes phases, remember to speak out against what is wrong just like a star speaks out against the darkness of the night, remember to always be unique like the planets.

After his mother's death, there was only one thing for Galion to do- explore. Without his mother his feet wandered from forest to forest, night to night, visiting all of the wood elves that lived in them, until he finally came upon Laurelin, in hopes that somehow the city's contents will quench his thirst for knowing and seeing more! Days often go by with him rushing through the city's collection of books about the magic of druidry and evocation, or going on trips into the nearby forests to be at one with the Green Man and Lady, or exploring the large patches of flowers on the outskirts of the city, or... well, there's just so much to do! Never before has Galion had such a open resource to learn about elves, and dwarves, and orcs, and Kharajyr. Before coming to Laurelin it would have been impossible to know much about Phaedrus's Lli'Hileia's superb war tactics in the Bloc war or know how Orcs survive in the harsh desert that they've colonized. For now, Galion is mesmorized by the city but it's only time before this cloud begins to fly once again.

 

Personality Traits: Not to say others don’t but usually, Galion, most likely, has the higher morals. To Always respect others, to be a friend to all, and to never judge another person for being how they are, are just a few- I mean who can beat that. Because of this, Galion’s easiest way to make decisions is through his moral system and usually likes things that fall into that moral compass and despises those that don’t.

 

 

 

Ambitions: Galion aspires to explore the world around him and be a friend to all that he meets in his journey to more spectacular places.

 

 

 

Strengths/Talents: Galion deeply cares for other people and because of this is generally kind, friendly, and open to others. Because of this kind nature Galion is also very optimistic, even in the worst of scenarios and supportive of his friends, even strangers. Galion is also a very good communicator, but not in the typical sense, words usually fail the young elf when they are thought of spontaneously yet his writing could not be more beautiful. Poetry is evident in his words and helps get his message across on a deeper level than most can achieve.

 

 

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Although compassionate and kind, Galion is fully aware that his caring nature can easily backfire around others without such high morals.  Through too much of this backfire Galion has learned to become anxious, resulting in panic attack anxiety when under too much pressure to do something that he has such a hard time doing in the first place

 

 

 

Appearance: Galion is a young, tan skinned woof elf, of average height and possesses deep green eyes which match the color of the forest well. Usually, Galion wears his iconic forest green robe, brown boots, and brown gauntlets
