What is roleplaying?: Playing the role of a character in a storyline or something like that.

What is metagaming?: Using outside knowledge for whatever reason in roleplay!

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

Character’s name: Mako

Character’s sex: Male, but often mistaken for female

Character’s race: High-Elven

Character’s age: 19

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Mako, while pale of skin and frail of frame, never got to live the lavish life of a High Elven Noble. When the young elfling was knee-high to a dwarf, he was lost at sea along with his mother. A group of aquatic sirens who had been living nearby, took notice to the mother's flailing body however instead of helping her, like most fairy-folk would, they tore her to red ribbons in the dark sea. When they noticed the swaddled up baby, instead of doing the same to his parent, they called for a sea-turtle to take him to shore. The sea-turtle was reluctant as the nearby town was a fishing one and it new the dangers, but  figured it couldn't just leave the infant to drown. When he finally made it to the beach, he slid the infant into a fishing-boat and went on his way, hoping best for the child. What would follow would be a tough life of survival. The fishing-town was more like a bandit retreat and while bandits could see the use of a young high-elf, that didn't mean they made living conditions more than terrible. Mako would be taken on raids, made to steal from Nobles, and so on, until he was about seven years of age. On his seventh birthday, he hitched a ride with a merchant wagon making it's way far from the bandits, and to The Uzg.
As disaster seemed to follow this poor Elf, his ride with the Merchant would come to a stop, due to being caught right in the middle of a battle between human hedge-wizards, and small group of the Gorkil Clan of Orcs. The Orcs slaughtered the hedge-wizards and spared the Merchant but stole his wagon. Mako, determined not to be afraid of anything after coming so far, stood his ground against the Orcs.
The Orcs, already getting over a bloodrage laughed terribly at the frail Elf. The leader of the squad took a bit of blood from one of his fallen brother and smeared it across the Elf's face, before knocking him out with one hilt-smash from his axe. 
By the time Mako awoke, he was naked with nothing but an Orc-crafted spear and blanket, in the middle of the forest. From weeks on, he spent his time hunting bears and eating raw meat. Eventually he met the same group of Orcs again, but this time things were sort of different. Their leader attacked Mako, and brutally beat him down, leaving scars across his torso and legs. When he thought Mako had enough, he did the same as last time, knocking him out with the hilt of his axe. However, this time, when the elf awoke, he had neither the food and supplies he had gathered, nor the blanket and spear that was given to him. If he was to live in these hellish mountains, he'd have to survive like that of an animal.
And he did. For years, he became the greatest hunter the lower half of Vailor would ever know. Traveling Farfolk refered to him as the "savage knife-ear", his own kind like to ignore that those rumors even exist, and some Oren soldiers even tell horror-stories about him when the sun has gone down and the only light is from the campfire they're all gathered around.

Personality Traits: As it's the only thing he knows, Mako enjoys running through the mountains, playing with the bear-cubs, and sometimes stalking the occasional woodsman.

Ambitions: Being an Elf, he's constantly curious about the world around him, but truly wants to be respected among the Orcs.

Strengths/Talents:  Hunting, fighting, and running.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Not very good at speaking, social situations, and has a very small knowledge of magic.

Appearance: Clothes mostly stolen off of caravans, a poncho that was gifted to him by an old gypsy. Pretty indistinct from another High-Elf, except for the fact that he's probably pretty dirty, has many, many scars on his body, and Orcish-styled war-paint on his face.

-You need to expand upon your meta-gaming and power-gaming definitions.

 

-Having one's character's parents die randomly for little to no reason is extremely cliche

 

-There're no sirens with control over animals as you describe in your biography in the lore and world Lord of The Craft takes place in. The same applies to the sea turtle.

 

-Your character's biography has a good few discrepancies. Firstly, orcs are surprisingly brutal, leaving few survivors, and it is unheard of an orc intentionally giving someone they have defeated the necessities needed to survive, no less a weapon.

 

-Secondly, even after that, a character being described as a frail 7 year old, being able to /kill bears/ is a fair bit a ridiculous. A 7 year old able to kill bears. Yet than you note he plays with baby bears, and that it is something he greatly enjoys, which unless he has a bear farm, seems to contradict that bears are his main source of food.

 

-Likewise, you note your character of being great renown, and having exceptional skills to the point of being 'the greatest huntsman' in the lower side of the continent. This creates a character that I cant really accept. As if I did, I'd be accepting a character listed, even before coming ingame, as better than half of the huntsman on the server, who of course have never heard of or have any idea who Mako is.

 

-You need to balance your character's strengths and weaknesses.
