CheekyNolan 5420 Share Posted June 11, 2016 CHARITY AND THE CHURCH Any Church, no matter which sect of the Faith it professes itself to, must display charity. Charity is the Lord’s method for the rich man, the man with means and great wealth, to help those in the greatest of need survive. Charity exists to help those with faith survive to live longer, to worship further - to help those who have been dispossessed by the evil of man recover what they had through the light and generosity of our Faith. I witnessed, just the other day, a woman who had resorted to cooking the flesh of a man to survive upon the streets. For this crime she was taken to Luciensport, by our new High Pontiff, and summarily executed for the crime. Now, do not mistake my words, this was a grievous sin, a disgusting act that stains Humanity, but had there been aid for her - had there been alms and generous giving to keep her fed and clothed, then such an awful sin should never have been committed. By expressing charity we express and embody the Lord’s mercy and generosity in his creations, we help to spread the Faith by displaying generosity to other believers. By giving we can bring people to the church and the cathedral, through giving we can tutor and spread our teachings; spread the light of the Lord and his message.
