The story of our creation:

In the years following the banishment of Iblees and the apparent disappearance of the Aenguls and Daemons there was a family of Humans who lived north of the main country of Oren. They lived a life of solitude coming in to the town only for supplies and news. This was Darkstar clan. A northern clan whose family had fought on the side of Iblees during the war. They were not hated, merely outcast for their former connections to Iblees. They lived as Rangers and Writers helping those who came to establish themselves in the North any way they could. They began to be known as a helpful albeit isolated group. They were the first Shadow Rangers.

In Laurelin a family of Elves known as the Mallark clan was a group of magic users and explorers. Their blood contained the blood of the Aenguls. They loved going to new places to find relics and artifacts of the war in a way to amplify their powers. They were losing their powers and could not figure out why. They decided to go North to where a pulse of magic was as that they may keep their valued powers.

In the Northern wastes the last remaining female and male Serena and Tydrones Mallark came to the house and Inn of the Darkstar clan. Their numbers had dwindled as less and less travelers came as far North as they were. One male and two females survived. They were Xavier, Sharanai, and Astrid Darkstar. The Mallarks rented a room in the Darkstar Inn finding a pulse coming from the building and land around it.

For weeks the Mallarks attempted to find the mysterious source of magic that they felt. They became good friends with the Darkstars and found themselves baffled by the enigma of the source of the magic power. They began to lose all their money in fruitless exploration after exploration around the area for a sign of any kind. They began to truly lose hope. The Darkstars were only told that they were there for magical artifacts, and time and time again they helped search for the mysterious artifacts the Mallarks claimed lay in and around the area of the Inn.

As weeks turned to months they began to fall in love for each other. In the spring of the following year they were married. Tydrones and Sharanai married, Astrid and Serena had also fallen in love with each other and were saddened that they would never have children of their own. Xavier a great mage and researcher did not wish to see his family sad by the inability to create life. So he studied the forbidden magic of the creation of life.

His studies took him to the very gates of the Nether which he entered through a portal that was hidden inside a great keep. He heard Iblees calling for him to return under his service as he entered the Nether. He agreed on the condition of the power to help his sister’s plight. Iblees agreed and gave him the formula of creation. Xavier using his magical crystals he owned teleported back to his home and rushed to his lab below. He worked all night creating the potion and gave it to his sister. She and Serena drank the potion.

Xavier then finished his magical journals and gave them along with all his research to Tydrones then he left for the Nether not to be seen again for many years. Astrid and Serena both had children later that year, they were both girls and were half-elves. They had two curious things about them though. They both had dark purple eyes. They also had very pale almost white skin. As the days went by it was apparent that they both could perform great feats of magic. The Mallarks also discovered that the pulsing of magic came from the Darkstars themselves.

They became known as the Malstars. They had in them the magic from both Aenguls and Iblees creating a mixed and dangerous blood…

In the years of the Malstar's history the children of the connected bloodlines have been born with magical quirks. Many of them have become Mages, Arcane Researchers, and Alchemists. Some were born with magical oddities about their person. In the more recent years they have joined both the Undead and the Ascended because of their mixed blood.

Living/MIA family list with their magical abilities:

Xavier Darkstar: Death not recorded believed to be an Undead or other servant of Iblees. Last known age 32.

Serena Malstar: Very connected to life and the spiritual sense of herself. One eye green one eye purple. Believed to have disappeared into the woods some years ago, about 25 years old.

Miles/Tydrones/Roy Malstar: Three different brothers who were born into one single body. They share eye colour, and they all can speak with each other however only one body so they share. Stopped aging at 27.

Varroq Malstar: The younger brother of the Malstar trio. He went to explore the world before the attack on his old home. Very outgoing and wanting to help establish a new home for his family. Gold eyes and can apparently do minor conjuring. Current age if alive 24.

Alexandra Malstar: The oldest of the siblings. She is a sorceress and an assassin. She never lived with the rest of the Family since she left to join an Assassin's Guild in the far east. She has been spotted watching the North and Eastern Border. Purple eyes and age if alive is 35.

Hoenn Malstar: He is of the older generation of Malstars. A traveling alchemist with golden eyes and bright gold hair. Learned the secret supposedly of immortality some years ago before the Undead returned to the world. Left his family because of the shame of watching them age and die. Last known age was 40.

This is a family of magical beings but their power is currently diminished from their great strength in years past. We are half-elven and proud of our heritage. We seek out magical societies in the hopes that they can fill the hole in which our once great powers filled.

We are a noble house and believe in the restoration of the magic in Aegis and the rebuilding of the places we reside in since time and war have caused them to fall into chaos and disrepair. We are rangers, writers, researchers, explorers, and magic users.

If you may be of this house's noble blood then you may wish to seek out Miles Malstar (deathmetus) as he is the current head of house and can help you see if your roots trace back to our glorious and dark past.

((I tried to avoid too much controversy plus its true some people helped Iblees in his battle and some did have magic. I am limited but bending the Lore sometimes works right? :) ))

OOC: As long as you aren't implying that your family should get special Undead magical powers (unless you have already been turned Undead legitimately) like others have tried to do, you are probably safe.
