Corruption within the dwarven clans has had its due in the old world. The clan not lacking in such defilement has been the age long and noble, Clan Starbreaker. We will acknowledge the dark past of many who have predated the new lineage of the Dangren Starbreaker, Clan Father of the stained Starbreaker Clan. Death to the old ways of gluttony and slothfulness.

 

To the clergy of the Brathmordakin. To the Holy High Prophet. To the Grand King of Urguan.

We serve our nation now. No longer will we not represent the meaning of being a noble clan.

To the Clergy we swear to be the shield, defend the faith. In our hearts and on the battlefield.

To the Prophets, we swear to uphold the tenants of faith.

To the Grand King, we swear loyalty and nobility.

Kardel retches, wiping a glob of mucus from his lip as he recieves yet another letter on his nightstand. He grabs the prchment with a trembling hand, reading its contents while attempting to balance a cold press on his forehead, water dripping down his brow. He cracks a small smile "At least amidst this entire sickness ordeal there are some good news. Too many lads are forming new clans these days and forsaking their old roots. I am overjoyed to see the Starbreakers return." With that, Kardel sets the letter down and picks up a quill to pen a response.

 

"Dear Stabreaker Reformers,

 

Many have attempted to reform this ancient clan and take upon their shoulders the burden of Gortek. The name Starbreaker carried a certain prestige with it, an air of highness that could not be attributed even to Irongut or Grandaxe. The recent bastardizations of that name have made me question if the Stabreaker clan could ever be revived: indeed, I would myself consider the Starbreaker clan an extinct bloodline, like that of Treebeard. However, this epistle has rekindled an ember of hope in me, an ember with the potential to turn into a flame. Let us kindle this flame together.
