What is roleplaying?: Roleplay is becoming a fictional character. To me it means taking on their traits and personality, perhaps modeling it after yourself.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using knowlege outside the game to your advantage

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power gaming is using unfair RP tactics to quickly attain something in game. It could mean forcing a player into something that they could normally try to fight back with.

 

In-Character Information

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

Albert was a mysterious child who was found orphaned by the great cathedral of Felsen.  His parents were poor vagrants who could not afford to feed the child, and prayed to GOD he would find a good home.  Some time after, he was found by an old man who had dedicated himself to doing good in a turbulent and troublesome realm.  He had seen the troubles of the Duke's War firsthand and renounced such war and bloodshed.  He took the child in as his own, and gave him the name Albert, and decided to withhold his last-name until the young child reached adulthood.  So he raised the young baby in the steps of a great adventurer.  First and foremost he trained him in the art of self defense with hands, and every small arms weapon imaginable.  He ensured the boy reached a proper education in the Felsen University.  Albert would learn of theology, debate, politics, and the arts.  The old man set him on a course of travel, discover and adventure.  As the boy neared adulthood, the old man began to grow weak and frequently sick. Albert learned the last of his lessons, medicine.  He cared for the old man with every remedy, treatment, and herbal essence he found in the book.  Though Albert saved the old man some suffering he died, but this did not mark the end for Albert.

After his mentor and father's death, Albert mourned for some time, but to redirect his energy, he began his travels across Vailor.  He visited the grand kingdom of the dwarves, the Uzg of the orcs, and the great empire of Oren.  He spent his early adultlife exploring the realm, documenting every creature and plant he saw.  For some time he dablled in cartography.  He spent some times with the high elves and went about trying to learn their odd customs, but gave up after seeing their xenophobia.  Now he continues to roam the realm

 

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) He likes to read, and spends lots of time in the libary of Dragur. He dislikes ignorance and war.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) A great historion, healer, and wiseman

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) He is a good debater, and strong speaker, and is a skilled swordsman, though he doesn't like to kill.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) He is a bad craftsman and not very handy with tools. He can be impatient with people who are stupider than himself.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) He has dark brown hair, and fair skin. He is attired in the robes of a traveler and scholar. He is 6 feet tall, with a decent build. He sports a great mustache with some visible hairs on his face from a shaven beard.
