As you pace by a random notice board, you notice a poster hung there; Scribbled upon it are a picture of steaming soup, and a singing person, as well as several words.

 

"The Sailor's tankard features a new event - The singing soup! If you wish to participate in it, all you need to do is sing a quality song, and if the bartender is pleased, They'll give you a free bowl of soup! If the bartender is not pleased, and thinks your song is a terrible earsore; you'll need to pay the poor bartender five mina, as a fine for the terrible song you ruined their ears with."
