~A Clarification on The Brathmordakin~

Volume: 1

By Fili Grandaxe

------------------------------------------

The purpose of this volume is to provide a description of each god amongst the pantheon of the Brathmordakin. It shall also delve into the purpose of each god, and to examine and explain the gifts that each grant us. And finally, it shall tell of each god’s affect in the world and nature.

-------------------------------

Yemekar

Yemaker is the god of creation, chiefmost deity of the Brathmordakin and is credited with creating all of existence, including the other gods amongst the Brathmordakin. He grants living beings the spirit of creativity, and the desire to fashion and research new items, technologies, and advancements. He is the common patron of smiths, and artisans, as the creative spirit he gifts can be seen most clearly in the products of people who work with their hands.

Other names for Yemekar include; The Creator (not to be confused with the human creator), and The Great Smith.

Symbols of Yemaker include; Anvils, hammers, and chisels.

Anbella

Anbella is the wife of Yemekar, and is thought to be the second greatest of the Brathmordakin because of such. She is commonly associated with nature, and is thought by many to be connected very strongly to the aspects, though this matter remains up for debate. She grants living creatures hope, and the ability to act mercifully, and with grace. She encourages love amongst all creatures inhabiting the world, and cooperation. She is the common patron for druids, forest dwarves, foresters, pioneers, and others who work in nature.

Other names for Anbella include; The Hearth Mother, The Mother, and The Goddess of Nature.

Symbols of Anbella include; Torches, fireplaces, seeds, flowers, trees, etc.

Belka

Belka is the goddess of romance, romantic love, and passion. She encourages love between men and women, and the process of reproduction. She is the Brathmordakin most associated with marriage. She grants us lustiness, and passion for both each other, and the careers we take. She is the common patron for young women, prostitutes, and young lovers, though Belka herself has never been said to have engaged in intercourse.

Other names for Belka include; Lady of Passion, The Maiden and The Daughter

Symbols for Belka include; Roses, and rings of matrimony.

Dungrimm

Dungrimm is the god of death, and honor. He is also the warrior god of the Brathmordakin. He grants courage, and bravery to creatures of the world, as well as the ability to act with honor, and nobility. He is one of the most popular Brathmordakin due to his encouraging gifts, and life inducing morals. He is the common patron for warriors, miners, lumberjacks, and most political figures.

Other names for Dungrimm include; God of Honor, Protector, Defender, and Keeper of The Dead.

Symbols for Dungrimm include; An axe, an iron mask, skulls, skeletons, and shields.

Ogradhad

Ogradhad is the god of knowledge, wisdom, and magical arts. He bestows knowledge upon creatures that inhabit the world, as well as curiosity for the unknown, and desire to learn. He encourages us to discover, to think, to test, and to try. He also bestows many natural talents upon those that inhabit the world. He is the common patron of scholars, mages, alchemists, philosopher's, librarians, scribes, and advisors.

Other names for Ograhad include; Knowledge Keeper, Lord of Wisdom, Lore Master, and Keeper of The Book.

Symbols for Ograhad include; Books, quills, pens, and potion bottles.

Armakak

Armakak is the god of trade, and commerce, as well as interaction. He encourages creatures that inhabit this world to trade, and interact with one another in a fair, and peaceful manner. He grants us the ability to act fairly with our brothers, and to help each other achieve a better position in life. He is the common patron of merchants, peddlers, and travelers.

Other names for Armakak include; The Merchant Father, and Master of The Coin.

Symbols for Armakak include; Coins, ledgers, and scales.

Grimdugan

Grimdugan is perhaps one of the most misunderstood of the Brathmordakin. Many associate him with greed, and deceit, though that is not the case. Grimdugan is the god of ambition, and inspiration. He drives us to achieve the things we want, and grants us the ability to become great. When paired with his brother Armakak, we have the ability to achieve a great number of things, and to do it fairly. He is a common patron for thieves (though misplaced), merchants, and entrepreneurs.

Other names for Grimdugan include; The Lord of Avarice, and The Lord of Ambition.

Symbols for Grimdugan include; An obsidian dagger, and a coin purse.

Khorvad

Very little is known about Khorvad, save that he is an evil deity. However, it has been discovered that Khorvad and Iblees are not the same being, and should not be associated as such. The true purpose of Khorvad has been blurred by time, and leaves only speculation. The only thing we know for sure is his mal intent as our ancestors have taught us for ages. Although Khorvad is not Iblees, it is thought that Iblees may be an incarnation of his evil, or perhaps even an avatar.
